I gave them a second chance to sell my car, they blew it. First I had the salesman tell me some things that didn't quite jive. But later found in their own words, "WE DON'T SELL CARS WE SELL ADS". Right there, right freaking there I found out later is the problem. I gave a few hundred, they listed it on their site and an ebay ad. Ok, I gave them all the pictures and description, they just post on ebay and their own site? I already had it on Autotrader and had a few leads for like $50 or something! Car didn't sell, they came back asking for more money for a second ad, an extended ad. Ok sure, he guaranteed it would sell for $20K. Yes he said that, no I know it sounds stupid. Long story short it didn't sell, I gave them way too much money. Posted a negative review, and was shortly contacted by the owner Jeff. Well he sounded like a nice guy and genuinely wanted me to be happy so I allowed him to try for a third time to sell the car, with no extra money from my pocket and I deleted the bad review. Well guess what some moron at the place is telling people my reserve price!!!!! Maybe to just get it sold, I dunno what's going through their mind but heck no don't tell buyers the god forsaken reserve price!!!! It even says on their terms they will not reveal the reserve price at ebay. I get another call from a guy saying he saw the car online, called Select Vehicle Marketing and some girl told him my lowest price I would take. F@#$#$^%^$%@!#$.....REALLY????!???? Nicky with Select Vehicle Marketing contacted me via telephone on 09/24/15 after reading my review posted here. We had a lengthy phone call, during which she explained to me that she feels I was mislead in a lot of different ways during my first experience with their company, and they are trying to make changes based on what people are telling them. Nicky offered to refund my entire fee from my first experience with them, and offered to market a vehicle for free for me in the future should I choose to use them. I have since been refunded my entire fee from last year, and they are currently marketing another car for me, which they are doing free of charge. Though I'm still not sure how likely I am to recommend them to anyone else, I am impressed that Nicky took such big steps to make things right with me and stand behind their company. read more

I was told they would aggressively market vehicle across multiple markets, publications & auctions. The salesguy I dealt with at SVM is Matt and he was a bag of wind. I never got the exact links to the sites & publications they used after I asked. I had to search them out on my own. In doing so, I found multiple errors in the description & details of my vehicle & it was being marketed as being in Nebraska, when in fact it was in Texas. I addressed this with them & I was told they could do nothing about the location. My vehicle is 100% electric & having it marketed in Nebraska was not doing any good when there are no supercharging stations for it in NEBRASKA! The description of the vehicle was incorrect, so when potential buyers did searches on various sites, the error in description would not place my vehicle in the result of their search. Part of the marketing was to be on Auto Trader & as of my search on March 10 there was no Auto Trader ad. Even though our agreement was on March 4, I had to contact them to ask why the Auto Trader was not there. The Auto Trader ad did not appear until late on March 11. There was supposed to be a YouTube vid and we never found it. They also promised a "network of other websites" & after asking we were never give info on any of those. They said they would field all questions from buyers from any of these different places & they did not respond to them. My wife actually asked questions of them through the contact seller option on Auto Trader and ebay and they never responded. Select Vehicle Marketing is running a scam. read more

This listing was a total rip off. The company could do nothing for me unless I let them list on e/Bay for less than I was asking, which would have cost me even more. Once I told them I could do eBay myself, they dropped out of sight I did a lot of research before I set the price, then eventually listed on RV Trader and it sold in one day. Big disappointment for hundreds of dollars. You can sell your RV yourself. Just go to the Auto Club for the paperwork and use your own bank with cashiers checks. Put an ad on RV trader. read more

$1100.00 to Select Vehicles Marketing (SVM) down the drain! This company and all its "agents" are frauds! Be forewarned! First Mj Malaterre started calling us about selling our 2012 Itasca Reyo motor home. That was in 2014. Her calls continued until July 2015, at which time we sent a copy of a letter to SVM we had received from Mj. Jeff Polbe, who claimed to be the owner of SVM called us to apologize for Mj and admitted that she would probably be fired because they had too many complaints about her. He was very nice over the phone and convinced us that SVM could and would sell our motor home within 60 days as promised by Mj. He lowered the fee from $1000.00 to $600.00. With a lot of hesitation we agreed to give SVM a chance. Nothing happened. No phone calls, no emails, no nothing! Then in late August 2015, Rebecca from SVM called to ask for $500 to post our listing on eBay. Really! According to Megan Page our listing would be on eBay until sold. After listening to Rebecca about how the coach would more likely sell right before, during, or right after Labor Day, we paid another $500.00. Then nothing until October 2015 when we received a phone call from a man who claimed to be a co-owner at SVM telling us that a coach just like ours had just been auctioned and sold on eBay for $95,000. According to him he would contact the bidders who were unsuccessful and inform them that they could buy our coach for $93,000. He said he really wanted to help us out because we hadn't gotten any activity since signing up with SVM and he could make the sale happen. Except, get this, he needed $500.00 to get started! This folks, we recognized as another scam from SVM! We attempted to get full reimbursement from SVM in January and Febraury 2016 and although Nicky Beard said she wanted us to be happy, we never heard from her again. We are not at all happy with SVM! We recently submitted a consumer complaint with Mr. Doug Peterson, Attorney General in Nebraska. Hopefully he and his staff can help us get our money back. We believe Mr. Peterson needs to start the process to abolish SVM as a Nebraska business. Trust me, this would help consumers out there. What a complete and total scam. Their pitch was spot on, and their consistency with e-mails didn't stop... UNTIL I GAVE THEM MY MONEY. Once cutting them a check for $1,500 for promised services, my main rep that had really sold the pitch to me, MATT, went dry for roughly 2 months after that date to which I was pawned off to just about every employee EXCEPT the guy that begged for my money. Thankfully I negotiated the 90-day money back guarantee, as I had a funny feeling. That all being said, this company is a JOKE, a SCAM, and a sad excuse for a business. My $20 on Cars.com generated 45 leads on the car I was selling. $1,500 with Select Vehicle Marketing generated 1 "potential lead" half a week before the 90 days were up. Seriously... Very disappointed in their services. Listed a piece of equipment with them, the representative said he'd guarantee it would sell in 7-10 days. They posted pictures of my equipment with a piece of identical equipment that wasn't mine. when confronted about the picture issue I was to get another chance at another auction for free. Never herd back from them when this auction would be, still haven't herd back after about 3 weeks . They won't return calls or emails, very disappointed won't recommend their services for anything. read more

I would recommend not using this company. I was called the day after posting my vehicle ( in which I already had a good offer ) and was told they could sell it and had people looking for those vehicles. They made alot of promises of what they were going to do but never came through. What they will do is post your vehicle on some basic cars sites that you could do yourself. The owner has zero customer service skills, but the customer service manager Nicky does act like she is concerned but still has been unable to this point help her company live up to what I was originally told. read more

After posting in Craigslist I was contacted by a representative from this company promising me that my RV could be sold for $11,500. He badgered me for weeks, calling sometimes 2 -3 times a day until finally I relented, paid the $500 fee, and then waited....for NOTHING. I reported to the BBB, but the company would not even respond except to lie and say they had made some offer of restitution. Select Vehicle Marketing is a huge scam, a rip-off, a company to avoid. I have paid my DUMB TAX by falling for the lies of LeRoy Jones and his coworkers. They will say anything to get your money, but they don't follow through. I saw a car I liked on autotraderclassics.com that listed this company as the owner. I emailed the link provided for their company to get more information, but did not get a response. Today I called. I spoke to 3 different people, and none of them could see the car that I wanted. They kept asking me if I found the car on ebay. One told me, "we need new computers here, ours are slow". Finally the 3rd person found the car I had questions about. I asked about shipping and payment, and was told that was between me and the car owner. They gave me the owners first name and phone number, and that was the extent of their "SERVICE". I called and the car had already been sold. What a waste of my time. read more

I listed my car with Select Vehicle Marketing LLC after their salesman told me that my car would not only be on eBay but would also be offered in a special exclusive offering of Mercedes. He alsio said that the ad would have a professional voice-over. The car sold on eBay, but Select could not reach either of the offerors that exceeded the reserve. They offered it on eBay twice more to no avail. I never learned what transpired with the Mercedes auction, despite asking more than once. The voice-over did not happen. Please, Please, Please, take time to read this review, then look at the other reviews on Yelp and DO NOT GIVE YOUR MONEY TO THIS COMPANY!!!!!!!! I posted a 2014 Corvette on Craigslist and was soon bombarded by SVM telling me I would never sell a car like this on CL and they had interested buyers and it would sell very quickly. They talked me into $499 and my bad I didn't research them and TRUSTED them. After paying them the money I asked many many times for proof where they listed my car and NEVER EVER received one single location they listed my car. After 2 weeks I sold the car myself form my CL add and called them and asked for either a refund or partial refund. At this point they would not respond to phone calls or return voice messages and when I emailed their customer service they would respond a ticket was generated to upper management for their review. This went on for almost 2 months so I contact the BBB in Omaha, Neb. They have zero enforcement power and you will just be frustrated attempting to get there rating to reflect their dishonest tactics. Please take this review to heart and donate your money to a charitable organization that at least you can use as a tax deduction. If you trust these crooks to sell your car you will loose your money, they will not sell you car, and you will just end up frustrated like I am with loosing $499 and getting absolutely nothing in return. read more

Select Vehicle Marketing took away the angst from selling on eBay for the first time, especially since it was an expensive item (travel trailer). They advised me on photos to include in the ad and somewhat on the pricing. I never did see the voice-over ad that was to have been done. Did not know where the "For Sale" ad appeared besides eBay. They should have informed me in their follow-up confirmation agreement. Item did not sell on eBay, but it got exposure which helped in the end. SVM, for a second commission, would have attempted to sell the item on eBay by taking another approach. Fortunately, I did not have to use that service as the trailer sold shortly after the 10 day bidding stopped. I would use SVM again and I would recommend them to anyone selling a large ticket item on eBay for the first time. read more

Stay away from this company. They do not perform as they indicate. I listed my street rod on CraigsList and started receiving calls from Matt. He wouldn't go away and he kept making promises that he could sell my vehicle. I finally was persuaded to go forward for a 90 day run. That was a big mistake. Matt has nothing to do with you once you agree and pay your fee to go with this company. I was promised there would be followup with inquiries, of which there were none. I did receive a call from someone who asked for more money to advertise in a couple of other actions and on eBay. I declined and when the 90 days was up there was no followup calls. Total waste of money. I listed my RV on Craig's list and the first call I received was from Select Vehicle Marketing. They told my that my asking price was good and convinced me that they were the best game in town for selling my RV and offered a deal ($449.00) of running not one, but two, 7-day eBay auctions, plus they would advertise/market my beautiful, low-mileage 2012 RV all over the place. The first auction did not even reach 50% of my reserve price. After the first auction ended I tried to find my RV online using Google search. I could not locate it advertised online anywhere. I called them and they directed me to one online listing, not even on their site. Half-way through the second 7-day auction (during which we did not receive even one bid) they called me and convinced me that the way to go would be to convert the auction to a 21-day buy-it-now with prime spot advertising (an additional $600). 14 days into the 21 day auction, after not one offer, I called and asked them to reduce the price on the RV by $10,000. They changed the price on the eBay ad, but not on their own site. At the end of 28 days NOTHING. Not once during the entire time did any of their agents (Rebecca was the original and I think Joe took over) did they call me with an update or recommendations as to how to sell my RV. I listed my RV again on Craig's list, and guess who called me right away??? Not one, but two different listing agents from Select Vehicle Marketing wanting me to advertise my RV with them. They don't even keep track of who they already suckered into their scam. I am out over $1000, and not a single offer from a buyer. read more

These guys are relentless when they're asking for your money. They'll promise anything. Once you pay, they won't return calls. If you're already working with websites like autotrader and carsguru they take over those ads without your knowledge or permission. All of their ads list Omaha as the location of your car, which they state they cannot change, so your vehicle will not show up in local searches near you, where your most likely buyers are looking. Bottom line business model: You pay them for promised advertising, they do a few Internet marketing posts, which is done by someone working from home, and because they list your vehicle location as Omaha, your chances of selling are reduced not enhanced. They run all alleged inquiries through them (you do not deal directly with consumers). Therefore you're paying them to advertise their company, not your car. If any inquiries are generated, they simply spin that lead to grow their business. You will not sell your car. In fact, I was unable to verify anyone has ever sold a car through them. I sold my car independently through Craigslist to someone who saw it based on an accurate vehicle location. read more

I was initially excited to work with SVM, they solicited me and I am now regretting that decision. I paid the initial fee for the ads and eBay auctions to have the car not sell for anywhere near my reserve price. The bid that was the closest was around $36,000. After the second auction I was convinced by my salesperson (Nikki Beard) to give an additional $600 to re-post and update my ads, and led to believe that with these additional advertisements there was still a strong chance of it selling for more money. When that was said and done, we still had not sold the vehicle. At this point, I recontacted Nikki and requested she forward me the contact information for the original bidder at $36K. She stated that she would have to "get with the original salesperson I was dealing with and go back and find said information." That was the last personal contact that I had with her. I have attempted multiple emails, phone calls, voicemail, etc. with no return. It seems as though they are putting all their efforts into acquiring new sellers initially and then disappearing communication wise, after they have your money. Any further communication with solicitation for more money will be rudely interpreted and if they do not contact me with MY information for MY buyer, this will be considered fraud and withholding of information. I would NEVER list a vehicle with these people again. I listed my '64 Chevy Impala with them after many, many phone calls and them promising me the moon and delivering absolutely nothing. The only thing delivered was the money from me to them and then they forgot all about me other than to try and get me to let them list it on ebay (for more money) and for which they said they already did when they sold me the ad and they keep calling to get me to list more cars with them. Talk about a huge RIP OFF and this is it. They should be shut down for the way they scam people and that is all it is. One HUGE SCAM. Don't even think twice about doing business with these people unless you have money to throw away. I can't even find my car listed on all the sites they said they used so I really question it was ever listed anywhere. They said it took them longer than expected to list my car due to some technical problems I didn't understand but I really wonder now if it was listed at all as I have not received ONE SINGLE offer to purchase it.
