I called Self Plumbing late on a Friday afternoon and told the receptionist about the problem I was experiancing with a backed up sewer clog in my basement. She said she would submit a requisition, and a service person would arrive shortly. Within thirty minutes, John was here. It took 3 weeks for a plumber to check sump pump, plumber came out and saw the sump pump wasn't engaging so he vacuumed out water and debris and then filled the hole back up halfway with water and noticed the sump pump did not kick in on its own so he lifted up the float to force the sump pump to work. Tried to call them back in to actually fix the issue but the secretary just claimed they fixed the issue and starting arguing instead of offering to send a person to check it out again. When we finally came to an agreement that someone would come out the next day they then failed to show up the the property two separate days when they said they would and when tried to call back they would not answer. Escalated to insurance company and reporting to BBB for being a horrible business. Save your money and go somewhere else where your problems will actually be fixed and customer support is actually worth conversating with. Charged $65 to vacuum out the sump pump hole and acted like that solved everything. Worthless company. read more

We are so happy with Self Plumbing! We called and they showed up the next day to do some plumbing work in our shower. We had tried to call 2 other plumbing businesses in Moberly. 1 of them we had scheduled an appt. and he never showed. Went through Homeserve USA for services. They were supposed to come out one day, and never showed. I called the next day, and they were supposed to come, again they never showed. The weekend past and still no call, no show. Monday morning they appeared, walked up into the house not asking questions.. SMOKING A CIGARETTE!!!! They went outside walking through the mud. They did not wipe their feet and tromped mud through my house. They used our mop bucket and just set our dirty mop on our floor. They also left our gate open, so that our dogs could get out.... They were just very unprofessional. My husband said they appeared to act like they were under the influence of something. Being a former police officer, and knowing the signs of such things, he was very dismayed at this company and their unprofessionalism. read more

The shorter man was nice and was sure not to be damaging things and the other guy not watching where he was going knocked some stuff over. Got the job done but said they cleaned up and no tub was gross sewer water on my walls behind the toilet on the wall was like it was smeared floor was dirty and the office lady very rude.... read more

Very friendly and efficient. I called them at 7:45 and someone was there in less than half an hour. Problem taken care of in less than an hour for less than $100. The guy even helped with another issue. This is the second time I've used Self Plumbing with similar results. I will definitely use them again if needed. read more
