Tried to call them back in to actually fix the issue but the secretary just claimed they fixed the issue and starting arguing instead of offering to send a person to check it out again. When we finally came to an agreement that someone would come out the next day they then failed to show up the the property two separate days when they said they would and when tried to call back they would not answer. Escalated to insurance company and reporting to BBB for being a horrible business. Save your money and go somewhere else where your problems will actually be fixed and customer support is actually worth conversating with. Charged $65 to vacuum out the sump pump hole and acted like that solved everything. Worthless company.

Wayne was recommended to me over fifteen years ago and has always provided expert service. The first effort was in an older (1920s) Federal Hill, Baltimore Row House. It was a very old unit needing repair. Wayne repaired it and got it running in a very short time. More recently Wayne repaired my Sister's unit and got her HVAC running quickly and at a reasonable cost. Most recently I had a Warning that my Controller could not communicate with the Blower. A Blue Dot Service came to the house, turned off the power, then told us we needed a blower, cooling unit, wire harness, new compressor and perhaps other elements - SOOOO we might as well buy a new complete system. AND he just happened to know a Rep that could give me a quote. They tried to sell us a 12-20 THOUSAND DOLLAR SYSTEM. I called Wayne, he found a defective wire harness and repaired it for $300. You can BOTH TRUST and AFFORD Wayne's support. (By the way - you cannot diagnose a system with the power off.) If you are a Senior and on a fixed income like us, YOU NEED to call Wayne, he can be trusted.

Called them for a quote on an outdoor faucet repair and running a frost free to by garden…read more Guy showed up and took all the information. He said he'd be back Monday to repair the faucet and the office would send me a quote for the frost free. Two weeks later I get a call from the office saying the parts for my faucet were in and could they come out tomorrow. Next day guy shows up and starts snooping around my shop (on camera) which is 100' from my back yard where the faucet is. Doesn't come ring the doorbell just starts snooping around. So I go out to see what's up and he says he's there to fix the faucet. I show him to the faucet and the water meter and leave him to work. 20 minutes later the camera's start going off on my shop AGAIN. This time he's walking around to the back side of my shop, again 100' from my house. Anyway, after about an hour later he says it's done. I check it and it no longer leaks but it also doesn't have a stop anymore. When you go to turn it on it will keep turning until it spins off. At this point I just want the creepy dude gone so I just accept it, ask how much I owe and just get that the office will send a bill. Another week or so goes by and I get a bill for over $400. To repair a faucet. Breakdown is: Service call $110. 2 hours labor $220. Parts $85. Typically a service call include 1 hour labor so I got charged 3 hours of labor for a 1 hour job and $85 for $15 in faucet parts. Hell a whole replacement faucet only costs $35. Never go any quotes. Do not use this company.

Are you one of us folks looking for a new heat pump air conditioner/furnace - or heat pump water…read moreheater - for your home that qualifies for the current tax credit? I gotchu! I called some folks and got some estimates. Ended up going with Stephen from Peak Climate Heating and Air Conditioning. I have seriously good recommendations for y'all: - Peak Clilmate: They are official distributors for Lennox products. I had a Lennox air conditioner and furnace (it's the unit I just had to replace) and after literally 26 years it was still doing GREAT! but I decided to get a heat pump because of the tax credits and the fact that the old coolant is no longer made so it's hard/expensive to get. But in my experience for 21 years, Lennox is an excellent choice. They are also more economical (not cheap or crap, but more economical - their pricing seems to be kind of the sweet spot) than many other brands. They also stuck to the estimate and didn't try to add a bunch of little costs afterward - this is CRITICAL to me. - Stephen: Ok, y'all. This dude is impressive. He picked up the freaking phone after hours, CAME THE NEXT MORNING AT 6:30AM (I kid you not) because he was totally understanding of my long-hours work situation so drove 45 minutes to arrive at my home at 6:30am and GOT THERE EARLY. Brownie points from me. He was extremely personable, was very much all about work (not unnecessarily chatty) but was very responsive to all of my questions, did a few things and talked with me about a few things that were very my-situation-specific, and since then has continued to be the most responsive service person I have ever encountered. He told me he would do everything he could to get me set up as soon as possible because he knew I was without a/c. And he did. I cannot recommend Stephen highly enough. - The installers: Stephen installed my new unit with Cody and Brandon. ALL respectful, efficient and hard working, TIDY - no schmutz left anywhere, including from the removal of my own unit and that is unusual for my experiences with service folks lately - and everything seems to have been installed really well. - The unit: I got the Lennox variable-speed heat pump with furnace (Stephen will talk with you about that versus one-speed, and will direct you to whatever specs you want). It is different than my former a/c which just blasted cool air then shut off as needed. It is much quieter and runs at variable speeds as needed, so it's really more like walking into a store and not even noticing the a/c; you are simply comfortable. All of that for supposedly a huge energy savings. - Things I'm still watching: After a year, will I have seen a significant savings as they say I should? If I have any problems during that year, will Peak fix it readily and well? But I have no reason to believe I won't experience the promised savings, and I have no reason to believe that Stephen and his folks at Peak won't continue to be great.
