5 stars? Come on! This is a few stoves inside an old gas station. Can't be that good. Gas station food is horrible right? I'm simply shocked. I've had cubans at a lot of places before. From food trucks, to small dives owned by actual Cuban people, all the way to really nice restaurants. This cannot stack up to a 5 star restaurant.....and yet, not only does it stand up to it, it surpasses all of them. The bread is crisp and soft at the same time, the meats are cooked perfectly, tender, juicy, and seasoned to perfection, cheese is wonderful as well.....I'm salivating just writing about it. In addition, the people are super nice and helpful. And since my wife can't eat bread, the fact that they had a Cuban in a bowl made her simply ecstatic! Seriously, it's worth the drive. I wouldn't say #1 Cuban, best Cubans! The Cuban was OK, on the salty side. I think the balance between ham and pork was the issue. The ham cooked on the grill I think makes the saltiness more pronounced making it too salty when you have 2/3 pieces of ham to 1 piece of pork. The price was reasonable and no complaints with the staff. You can call ahead and place your order so that's a plus. I've tasted better Cubans but I'm also from NJ where I've had many to compare. read more

I had to stop by here after I heard good word of mouth from several people. The sub shop is inside of a gas station, which shocked me, but it didn't turn me away and it shouldn't turn you away either. I made it with about 10 minutes before they closed and the guy that took my order; Chris, also happened to be the owner, didn't seen phased by my late arrival. I had a few questions, he answered them all. Very friendly guy. Subs ordered included a Cuban Sandwich and also a Philly Cheese Steak. I also wanted fries so got an order. It took about under 10 minutes and my name was called. When I got home and saw the size of the sandwiches I was shocked. They're frickin' HUGE!! HUGE!! Both subs were under $9 a piece so great value. The Cuban sub was delicious, the bread nice, soft, and not too doughy. It was toasted to perfection. Inside were all the common fixins including ham, swiss cheese, mustard, and most importantly -- pork. The pork could've had more flavor but that's alright because it tied in nicely with everything else. I did try the philly and it was also delicious. I'd probably get that next time. Fries were typical fries, not homemade but still good. They also offer breakfast subs and wings. Heard their breakfast subs were the bomb!! Overall, friendly staff and delicious food. The meat they use for the Cuban is not quality meat, it's the cheap grocery store meat you can get from the containers at grocery stores. The Cubans are NOT pressed very well, and they are thrown together without a care in the world. 10/10 would NOT recommend. read more

I don't know if it was a bad day or what but, the cook clearly had an attitude and was just throwing sandwiches together without thought. I've been in the gas station where it's located many times and have seen the sandwich shop but never thought about ordering a sandwich. Then last week I saw the reviews of this place on Yelp, and was like I gotta try this place out. I am soooo glad I did! I ordered a breakfast sandwich tonight (they serve these all day) and I was blown away. The best breakfast sandwich I've had since I moved down here from NYC fourteen years ago. Yes, I said the best!
