I really enjoy this sushi shop. They make their inari sushi (the tofu skin wrapped one and one of my favourites) so savory and delicious and juicy...I'm not sure what different things they are doing to it, but the tofu is so delicious. It is quite a sweet sushi, so maybe not for everyone's taste. And they totally converted my opinion on one of my least favorite sushi, the tamago sushi. I never really liked the egg sushi before because it was always kind of bland, but I think the Selfish one is really good. It is still really mild, but the egg is sort of sweet and pleasant. And I really like the small quietness of the place. I used to live by this trendy sushi place which always pumped music and had dim lights and it just wasn't very relaxing for me to eat there. This is a calm place to enjoy the taste of sushi =)

Then it comes that day of the month, when you cannot help but dreaming about a huge portion of fresh sushi and you wont stop until Just Eat DK delivers it at yor place. I'm a sushi lover, I've always been and I'll always be. I cannot stay too much time without falling on temptation, that's why also here in Copenhagen I'm always looking for a new-kinda affordable-good place where to go and please my stomach. Yesterday, after dealing with the fact that even in summer every kitchen in Nørrebro closes at 9/9.30pm (weekdays), I discovered Selfish. Pros: fresh fish - good quality, kitchen open until 9.30pm, two small tables to eat in otherwise you take away, kind staff. Cons: not too much choice on the menu (maybe it is different on lunch break), small portions, a bit expensive (considering we were two and we had a "XL Menu" which it comes with just 22pieces. Yes, normally we eat a bit more). Maybe it is me that had too much high expectations or also when it's late evening and I'm super hungry I'd eat the entire table. The good part is I now know I can rely on it for late evening dinners while everything else is closed :)

One of the best sushi (take away) places in town. The place is small, on the basement level, probably not quite suitable for romantic date night or whatever, but the sushi served here are good and authentic and with good price to match. Order the menu and you won't be disappointed, and it's even cheaper during lunch time. Apart from the menu, they also have special of the day - Mina K ordered it and got the snow crab and botan ebi/ shrimp. That might be pricey, but also totally worth it, judging from her facial expression when devouring the shrimp. Not only sushi, they also have gyoza (Japanese dumpling), I didn't get to try them because they're made of chicken (and I don't eat poultry) but they look so good and there's also other items in the menu including matcha ice cream and black sesame ice cream. This place is suitable for takeaway, but there are small tables for when you decide to dine-in. It's all up to you, but I'd rather splurge money here than other "sushi takeaway" in town. It's worth every penny :)

I had the best sushi ever. The place was quite small maybe it because it's a take away place. I had no idea about it before until i reach there. The place was very welcoming and the food. I will never forget this wonderful food experience and definitely coming back again for more.

Love the sushi they make! The restaurant is rather small (two tables, along with a few counter seats), since I understand that their main business is take-out. But for the times we visited, we never had problem dining in. The owner and staff are very friendly, and I enjoy chatting with them. It's a must-visit-spot in Copenhagen!

After visiting Oki sushi I can easily say that was the best sushi experience I have had in…read moreCopenhagen so far. Me and my girlfriend went the for the "All you can eat" option which includes all varieties of sushi, small starters and lots of skewers and noodles etc. We got a card and a pen and we had to look into the menu and write down which things we wanted (up to 10 pieces per person each time- if you order let's say Uramaki the roll of sushi consists of 4 pieces= you have 6 pieces left to order). Each time they bring you the food you get a new card in case you want to eat more. The max 10 pieces per order is a good way of avoiding food waste and I totally respect this place for doing it. Let's say a little about the food now. We tried many many different kinds of sushi from Futomaki, to Nigiri, Uramaki and Special Maki (managed to fill out the card three times) and all were super delicious. My favourite roll is the Hawaii roll! Yummi! We also order some of the warm options like tempura onion rings, spring rolls, chicken skewers and noodles. The onion rings were amazing- they have a super crunchy texture because of the panko which is the Japanese bread crumb. Every single things we ordered was beautifully places and the plate and the warm things put in lovely small plates or bowls. The staff was very friendly and happy to help with any questions. I can only say good things about this place. Will be back FOR SURE.

Tried the one in Frederiksberg on a weekend night. The sushi itself was ok, nothing special, but…read morethe all you can eat concept comes with lots of problems you don't foresee at first. 1. Unless you're really hungry and used to eating a lot at a time, you likely won't get to order enough off the menu to compensate for the pretty high price for sushi. 2. They save the very best stuff for a la carte of course, so be sure to check the differences between a la carte and all you can eat menus. 3. You only have the table for 2 hours, much of that goes with figuring out the concept, ordering from the cluttered menu which consists of separate books for drinks, a la carte, a paper to fill out All you can Eat options and a tablet to look at pictures of the all you can eat options, waiting to have your order taken, waiting for the food. (Also, why not just make a paper booklet instead of giving guests a clumsy, germ-filled tablet to click on if you can't use it to interact or order anyway?) 4. You get 1 piece of paper to fill out if you choose the all you can eat option. If you order too much and leave more than 3 pieces of sushi on your plate at the end, you pay penalties per piece. So you naturally don't dare to order too much at first. The waiter picks up the paper and pen when taking the order, so by the time you get the food and can judge if you're still hungry and need to order more, half your time is gone. Then you need to go through the entire process of catching a waiter, getting a new piece of paper, filling it out, hoping you haven't ordered too much. If you're unlucky and your time's running out or you're dining late and the kitchen is closing, you risk going away hungry. 5. Why are there barely any items on sushi menus these days which include seaweed? Most of the rolls were inside out/rice with toppings without nori around. The miso soup in particular looked rather pitiful with you exactly 1 piece of thin nori floating about in a tiny bowl. Not exactly luxurious. The hosomaki I ordered was with nori, but I received it without. By the time I got it the kitchen was closing, so I didn't bother telling the staff about the error. 6. Be ready to pay a lot for beverages here. A simple glass of tap water is 25kr and you will pay that every time you want to refill your glass while eating copious amounts of salty fish. Clever. The reason I came away with a decent experience was that I had other reasons to enjoy my evening, and the staff really did their best although they were obviously stressed out, and most of the food was decent. But all the pointless stuff around the meal ended up wasting time instead of expediting a smooth and pleasant experience, and at the end what seemed like a good deal on paper ended up costing the same with less pieces of sushi than I would've gotten with a regular menu. A regular menu of the same price I could've eaten in peace instead of worrying about how much to order, getting kicked out before I'm done eating, and also having the option of bringing the leftovers home if I so desired for a late night snack. Hard not to feel weird about the experience.
