Didn't know this was a chain restaurant when we visited! The set up for the restaurant and the atmosphere gave the feeling it was a stand alone location, not a chain. They are located at the top level of the hotel. It's recommended to have a reservation to dine. The staff was friendly, but wouldn't accommodate any party without a prior reservation. The food was excellent! I remember getting one of the set menus to share. It came with sushi, yakitori, and appetizers. I went to Tivoli for the day and was craving sushi by the end of the day. I looked this place up on Google Maps & thought it looked really fresh. We came around 7PM on a Monday and it wasn't too busy. We were able to walk in and get sat right away outside (I definitely recommend sitting outside). It's got a nice view! Our server was very kind & answered a ton of questions we had about what to choose etc. We started with the tuna tartare which was light and refreshing. I thought the avocado on it would be more like cut up pieces instead of more like guacamole. I thought it would be better that way. I didn't love the texture of the avocado they put. We also got the blanched spinach with the goma sauce which was tasty but I wish it was warm instead of cold! It was a pretty small portion as well. Things I really loved: the seared salmon sushi - it was very fresh & the pieces were large! We got the wagyu stick and MYYYY GOD if steak were butter than that's how I'd describe the texture. Sprinkle a little of the flaky salt on it and it's one of the best things I've put in my mouth. Things I didn't love: the miso cod stick. I've had this before elsewhere and it's been way better. I expected the texture to be buttery and for it to not taste fishy - it was neither of those. It's been a while since I've had a chance for some good sushi in Copenhagen. And the occasional stay at hotel Tivoli gave me the opportunity. Very good food, very fresh fish and super tasteful. Sushi is one of those things that will tell if it's not super good. This place is not the best sushi place in the world in the traditional way, but very great value and food experience. Terrible. Awful service: As if possible, both neglected (seated at the bar even though there were many tables available) and rushed at the same time (plates taken too quickly). The sushi is good at best - not comparable to anything good in Seattle, New York, LA, or Vancouver. The food is overpriced for the quality and the service. The ambiance was stressed and though there were tables available they sat us at the bar where our view was the black outfits of the rushing bartenders. Pricey but yummy! They have an authentic yakitori for the sticks and an open kitchen. Almost every stick I had from the Robust meal was tender and juicy. I also got the miso black cod stick and it was amazingly buttery and soft. The outdoor roofdeck overlooks the courtyard and you can easily see the penthouse pool. Blankets are provided for the chilly days. The swings at the bar are fun too! The salmon carpaccio is worth a mention too! read more

My Swedish friend and her Danish husband took me to this cool and hip rooftop bar on top of the Tivoli Hotel. It's only 13th floor but you get a nice view of the city. The ambiance is very trendy and it gets pretty crowded. The best part of this bar is the swings.... yeah, they have swings to sit on!!! What a brilliant concept! I really enjoyed sitting on the swing sipping a cocktail and watching the night cityscape....... it was definitely a very memorable and unique experience! read more

Great place to get sushi with a great view from the roof top. It's not the best sushi I've had but it's s a little better than average for being in Europe. Good taste but no wow -sensation (even though the staff tries to greet everyone in Japanese). I liked the option of having a delivery to the hotel room but when I called they were too busy to bring the food anyway. It brings down the service experience by not keeping up with promises, unfortunately. They have a large menu with many interesting alternatives - dishes for one, two, four or tailored orders. The pictures of each dish makes it nicer and easier to make a choice. A modern way of presenting the various food alternatives. I had the "mixed emotions" with both sushi and sticks of meat, served with rice - a bit pricey for a regular sushi meal but it is nothing to complain about really (apart from the grilled food being cold - but I suppose that's the risk with pre-order and delivery). Next time I will probably go for sitting in the bar to watch the view rather than eating in the hotel room. read more

A definite five star restaurant! Great view, the food was amazing, even beyond expectations and the service was fast. Loved the interior! Wow! I had heard about this restaurant and it was on my "to visit" list. Yesterday we went there and had the most amazing sushi dinner I have ever had. We had a salad with salmon, crab, avocado and other things which was delicious! The portion was quite large too. Then we had three different kinds of sushi which were all very well made and fresh. And we also had two sticks of beef. Everything was just great! We couldn't stop eating! The service was friendly and they were always coming to ask if we needed something. They brought also warm towels to begin with to clean our hands. They did few small mistakes service wise like forgetting the towels on the table during the whole meal, not bringing any napkins and asking if we want desert but in the end not bringing the menu for us to see. But they were so friendly that I consider that minor details. The interior was great and quite simple. Black chairs and tables. On the other side of the restaurant there were swings where one could enjoy a cocktail and look at the view. Also there was a shoe free area were you have holes on the floor for the legs and the table is very low. So you have to climb in to the table in a way. For smokers they have a large balcony with heating lamps and couches. Generally a great experience, great food, nice views, good service and nice interior! On my first night in Denmark, I was looking for somewhere fabulous to eat dinner and see the sights. After searching on yelp I found this place and made the short walk to the tivoli where it is located. It's on the 12th floor of the hotel which provides for great views Upon entering I was greeted by the hostess and she hung up my coat an scarf for me, a nice touch to begin with. I immediately fell in love with the decor here. So chic and well designed. A few minutes later I was seated and presented with a menu and an explanation of all the different choices to order from. Everyone spoke English very well and were helpful. After many minutes (perhaps a few too many) the server returned to take my order. Perhaps this is just the culture of the country to take a while to order, but it was ok with me anyway I started with an asahi large Japanese light beer per the servers recommendation. For my meal I had the black Alaska roll with salmon and avocado and an order of spicy pork lettuce wraps. Let me just say the food was phenomenal. This was the best sushi I've ever had, normally I prefer to order a cooked type of roll, but this one was so fresh, pure and flavorful that it was knock my socks off good. The pork wrap was so unique, great flavor and top notch ingredients used With all that being said it was pricey, but with the quality of the food and the view of the city it was worth it. Copenhagen is an expensive place to begin with, so this restaurant is typical of prices for nice restaurants around the area. No matter what, I recommend all sushi lovers come here! Oh man. I really wanted to love this place. I love sushi. I love Copenhagen. I'm pretty sure with all the hygge going around, I actually became a better person while I was here. When I was at Sticks 'n' Sushi three weeks ago, from the second my friend and I walked in, we immediately knew we should've turned around. Three fourths of the restaurant was empty, and we wanted a seat near the window to look down at the Tivoli Gardens. The host ignored our request, and sat us all the way in the back at the bar. You'd think this would be a good seat as there are chefs in front of you, but not a single of them said a word to us the entire time. When a waiter came around 30 minutes later to take our order, we quickly ordered and were at least excited for our meal. Forty five minutes later, our food arrived. The people sitting next to us who came in after us already ate and paid their bill before we got our food. When we tried to nicely speak to our waiter, he just rushed away and said, "Yes, yes. Your food is coming." I kid you not, when we got our sushi rolls, I thought I was going to get up and leave as he threw our plates down at us. Very unfortunate as the sushi was good. Great place and location if you wanna get a nice view of the water and city of copenhagen!! The space is really open and clean. While we waited for our table, we enjoyed well crafted drinks on indoor swings. The sushi itself was delicious and fresh. Lots of unique pairings and seasoning. Food was excellent with very nice presetation. The vibe of the resturant is very trendy. Ordered a combo "Sister of Sushi" Sashimi platter and the Spicy Miso soup. Sashimi came on a platter with crushed ice below served on some large leaves. Very nice presetation and good way to keep the sashimi cool. This was plenty for 2 people. I ended up choosing this Sticks n Sushi, which is located on the 12th floor of the Tivoli Hotel because it was the closest one to me, but it's very much a very hip and trendy place with beautiful views of Copenhagen. I came around 8pm and the place was packed. Luckily I was dining alone so they were able to give me a seat at the bar where I got to chat with the "coach" or the manager I think?? She was really cool though and fun to chat with while she worked. I really enjoyed the ambience of the place and could definitely see myself hanging out with friends here if I lived in Copenhagen. I ordered the small chaos which was indeed small. The picture made it look a lot bigger, but it was basically just lots of avocado and four slices of salmon with some fish roe on top of rice; it was basically just a tiny chirashi bowl but of excellent quality I have to say. It was really delicious though, but I wished I had ordered something else because I was satisfied but not full. Service was also super quick--I was in and out in less than an hour even though the place was packed. tldr; great quality food and this location affords you fantastic views of Copenhagen; would highly recommend!! read more

The Vibe is trendy, though the clientele draws a much larger variety of people. You could come dressed up or down. I have done both. Service: These guys were great. I arrived without a reservation. The wait was very brief and I was given a little buzzer and sat down on the swings that overlook an amazing top floor view. The swings are cool. You got to check that out if you're just a tourist in town. The bar staff were really cool. I was working while eating and I could tell they were making effort to have me smile. Nice people. Food: Delightful. The sushi is fresh. They could work a little on the cutting, as I think they just "cut it' versus really understanding how to fully optimize the cut for the texture of the fish. It is in the Tivoli Conference Hotel and offers a great view of Copenhagen. This restaurant is on one of the top floors of the hotel and it is super modern and beautiful. My friends and I order cocktails, wine, tons of appetizers, salads, and tons of different types of sushi! I don't remember exactly what we ordered..but I do remember everyone LOVED their meals!! So amazing! The restaurant look was gorgeous, and I'm partial to black being its my favorite color. But you felt like you were fine dining where as most sushi places over clutter their dining room with oriental nic-nacs. This exterior was classy, and the view was stunning. The bartender chastised a coworker for not having done something for prep and when told he hadn't gotten to it yet, the bartender raised his voice and said "I don't care". After flying all day and night from Houston Texas we were starving. The food here was perfect in quantity as well in flavor. I had the Man Meal which I loved with a mixture of chicken, lamb, pork and scallops. My wife gad the grilled avacado, grilled cauliflower and the crab balls. The waitress was great and took her time explaining the food choices. We sat at the Sushi Bar where we could watch the staff work. Very impressive as the staff all seemed very friendly and professional. We will be back in two weeks after our cruise! read more
