If I could give SMTN zero stars, I would. My partner and I were newly postpartum and looking for a legitimate way to sell our timeshare. After being bombarded with marketing emails about their Maintenance Fee Protection Program, we finally called in. The salesperson was incredibly friendly, reassuring, and made us believe this was a smart investment. They promised that our HOA fees would be reimbursed as long as our listing was available, and that similar listings were selling "left and right." It all sounded great--so we paid $2,400 to list our timeshare, thinking we'd get that back (and more) within a year. Fast forward a year later--our once-responsive salesperson vanished, replaced by generic automated emails. We later found out that in order to get reimbursed for HOA fees, SMTN had to first rent out our timeshare and get paid themselves--something we were never told upfront. And just when we thought this couldn't get worse, we were told we now had to pay another $150 to remain in the "maintenance reimbursement program"--a cost that was conveniently left out of our initial conversation. When I called in to express my frustration, they had the audacity to ask if I had referenced the contract with all the fine print outlining these details. No, I didn't--because we had a newborn, were exhausted, and desperate for help. We were the perfect customers for their scam--too overwhelmed to comb through every hidden clause in a contract while just trying to survive life with a newborn. They know exactly who they're preying on. At this point, it's clear SMTN is just a money trap. They rope you in with false promises, take thousands of dollars, and then disappear. You're left doing all the work yourself to market and sell your listing, while they refuse to provide real customer service. When I asked why I couldn't even get a real person to check in on my listing, they gave me the ridiculous excuse that "everyone is on different time zones." Seriously?? SMTN does not care about you. They only care about getting your money. Unless you want to waste thousands on a useless listing, do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from this company. read more

Paid $3,000 Upfront - No Offers After 1 Year - Now Told to Drop selling price from $36.999 to $6,000 These 5/5 reviews must be paid for. In January 2025, my husband and I paid Sell My Timeshare Now $3,000 upfront to list our timeshare for sale. The agent strongly suggested that comparable units were selling between $30,000-$42,000 and recommended we list ours at $36,999. While he stated there were "no guarantees," the representation given was that similar units were actively selling in that range. After paying the fee, we received no offers and no proactive communication. By May 2025, after seeing no movement, I reached out expressing concern. I learned today (2/11/2026) that there had been zero offers on our unit since listing. Recently, when contacted about renewing the annual dues for our "membership" (the agent who took my $3000 had never mentioned benefits or dues), I told the agent that I was never made aware of any member benefits fees. I then inquired again about the sales status. I was informed there have been no offers since January 2025. I was then told that similar units are currently selling for approximately $6,000 -- a significant difference from the $30k-$42k range originally presented to us. We were advised that if we want a quicker sale, we should lower our price to compete at the $6,000 level. Our timeshare cost us over $24k. At this point, we have paid $3,000 upfront, received no offers in over a year, and are being asked to renew membership. They are a scam claiming to advertise your timeshare to potential buyers but are really just keeping your money. I don't even think there was any real traffic visiting their site. My husband saw the SMTN listing of a prime unit in Aruba for a great price that we honestly thought was a scam. When contacted, the advisor gave a lot of pertinent information but said that the unit was on hold and under tentative contract. He said that we would be contacted in 5 days should the other party not execute a deal. In the meantime, we reached out to the resort to confirm the unit and the maintenance fees. Everything aligned with our information from SMTN. We ultimately executed our sale transaction through SMTN, and similar to other real estate transactions we have undergone, everything was professionally done, excellent legal documentation, transparent and above board. I highly recommend Sell My Timeshare NOW to anyone considering selling their timeshare. SMTN handled everything from finding a buyer, negotiating the sale price, handling the right of first refusal with Marriott, to the closing itself, in an expedient and professional manner, with very little effort on my part. They found a buyer for my deeded gulf-front 2/2 unit at Marriott's Crystal Shores at an appropriate sales price, with a net payout to me of approximately half of my purchase price. Note that time shares are not investments which are expected to appreciate, but rather, resales typically garner no more than 50% of the purchase price for "in demand" properties, and much less for other properties. Sales of deeded weeks appear to be more favorable than points sales. The net amount I would recoup from the sale was presented to me, which was inclusive of ALL closing costs. Communications and directives were timely and simple to understand, and most paperwork was submitted via email, with the exception of the Deed, which was required to be overnighted. The friendly and knowledgeable staff assisted me by phone with respect to various questions I had. Calls were answered immediately; no wait time. The process was much quicker and easier than I anticipated, and SMTN provided prompt payment of the proceeds.
