I took two spindles up there to have the bearrings replaced. It took them 3 1/2 hours to put one bearing in and a long story short I went up there at 8:30 the next morning. They did not get the other one done, they told me to take that one that it was on them but to come to find out they screwed up and did not put a inner seal in there that I provided for them and now my spindle is all messed up because of them. I see why now they told me to take it somewhere else, and that that one was a freebie! very unsatisfied I would not recommend this company to even put a tricycle tire on for me!!!! complete idiots!!! read more

Went to Seminole tire today for my seventh trip in two years to repair shops due the death wobble worsening in the steering of my 2016 f350. Last week I had it inspected at another shop and they balanced the front tires and sent me on my way. Almost lost control on my way home. It was worse than before the balancing. Next I Replaced the front shocks and steering stabilizer and still couldn't drive over 50mph. This morning I limped into Seminole tire ready to spend whatever it took to replace all the bushings and wearable parts in the front end. The service advisor who was a very sharp young lady immediately pointed out one of my front tires had a broken sidewall and was probably causing my issue. She was right. Two new front tires and the wobble is gone!! I spent close to $9000 dollars in the last two years trying to solve this and it took a little lady to point out it was just a defective tire. And one of the cleanest, friendliest and positive service centers I've ever been in. read more

I am not sure why the bad reviews. I had two very good experiences with Seminole tires. I called for an oil change and tire rotation. Courtney gave me an appointment that same day. Granted I did have to wait a bit but that was ok as they fit me in the same day. The cost was competitive. I could have gotten it cheaper if I drove further away but I wanted to stay local. I then discussed a "look over" on a vehicle my so just purchased. Steve and Jacob told me it was no cost to look over the vehicle and let me know any concerns. Jacob called me twice while the vehicle was being looked at and we discussed the issues. They were honest and candid and fair. Stay local. Ask questions ahead of time. read more

Ask them not to use synthetic oil. Got home and looked at bill with glasses only to see they used synthetic. No wonder such an outrageous price! marked for next change at 5000 which if using synthetic you can go 8-10,000 miles, but I am sure the retires don't know that...Asked to repair a leaky tire and they refused. Tried to sell me new tires. Not open at convenient time for those who work. CLOSED SATURDAYS??????!!!! Had to take time off for this, lost money all the way around. 25 years going there under old ownership. Never again. Just tried to charge my daughter $1800 to change her water pump. Looked at the estimate and they were charging $1100 for the part that's online from $150 to $250. Totally crazy. Went elsewhere and the mechanic asked if they were on crack. BAIT AND SWITCH!! I had new tires put on my truck on Friday late afternoon. I was told that my Ball joints were bad and they gave me a quote $1,141.79 to replace complete both lower control arms and upper ball joint and alignment. It was late in the day and I told them I would call on Monday as I needed help to drop it off. I dropped it off Monday morning to do repairs quoted on Friday. Picked it up late Monday afternoon. On the way home it made noise in the front end until the wheel hub cover fell off and noise gone! Upon inspection at home it was obvious that the lower control arms were NOT replaced, They just popped new ball joints in the old control arms instead! AND did not install the adjustable type upper joints as quoted as well. Returned the next morning to point this out to Steve Oldfield and though he knew he had been caught, refused to make any adjustment for the bait and switch. Watch out for this place! Told my daughter to call about having them put in a water pump she just purchased from a reputable local auto parts store. Not only did they refuse to give her any kind of price over the phone, they said they could not install any parts she purchased herself! This place way overcharged me for parts when I had to have an alternator replaced a few years ago. Almost $150 for a $35 alternator. Unless you have money to burn, avoid this place for repairs. (I changed my review from 1 star to 3 stars because after living in Lake Placid for 15 years I realized that ALL the auto shops charge triple the amount for parts, so they are not so bad by comparison). read more
