Well, you live you learn. I have a fleet vehicle and on 9-30-24, I visited this location for a quick oil change. The vehicle after 3-5 days start acting weird(like loss of power). So yesterday, I tried to start my car, and I could hear my connecting rods knocking and a big stain on my pavement.I thought my engine broke or something, so I took it to "PP" shop. They called me with the results. Whoever installed the new oil filter used a tool to tighten it and penetrate it, with result to loosing slowly my oil. Plus, I have the huge oil stain that after 4 hours of brushing it's still there. Update: I opened a case and they declined it, because I took my vehicle to a different brand service store; I didn't know what was the issue. My mother got an oil change here and they checked and filled her tires. 3 hours later one tire was flat. Took the tire to a different shop as valvoline was too far to drive. Somehow the valve stem was ruined. Opened a case and they denied it stating it wasn't their fault. Disgraceful. read more

I called them immediately to let them know and they dismissed me and refused to do anything about it. First I want to apologize to the Alan Jay network of service, and dealers. Took my truck to VIOC for an oil change, they changed the oil for $105.00. First off, that's ridiculous. They WONT check the air pressure in the tires,,,, they are afraid of scratching the rims.(VALVE STEM IS NOT A RIM). At Alan Jay, they change the oil, rotate the tires, adjust tire pressure. Do a complete check up on the vehicle, for way under $105.00. That was a complete rip off of good money. I should have told them n"NO", but, I had someplace to go. PEOPLE, DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT THAT PLACE. Make an appointment with a dealer, or a reputable shop. But not Valvoline instant oil change. It was your basic bullshit response from a company that specializes in ripping people off. I would not go back, if the oil changes were free, for the rest of my life. Last year, got my oil changed here, and they put 0-20w oil instead of 5-20w oil as the manufacturer says. I didn't realize it until a few days later, and didn't think much about it at the time. Going lower viscosity than the recommended oil is bad for your engine I recently found out. So this time I brought my oil and filter, figuring they couldn't screw it up. The next day I checked the oil level and saw the oil is at least a quart over the full mark! I wonder if they even drained all of the old out. I took the wifes mustang there after many years of great service with the prior owner. I didn't know that it was under new ownership until the rude service attendant promptly pointed out the new sign out front after he polity pointed and then curled back his finger at me as though I was an idiot. Funny thing though, I ran into the prior owner a few weeks later and told him about my experience and he shared that sentiment and that he also had talked with other customers that were also very dissapointed with the bad service. Came here to get my truck serviced and they recommended a fuel system cleaning. So I agreed to that which was a big mistake. The next day my truck was acting up so I took it to another mechanic. Come to find out the hose to my turbo came off which cost another $200 to get fixed. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more
