Well, I have a mixed review. They have their strong points and their weak points. Initially when…read morelooking for a place, it took 3-5 days and me calling back several times to get someone to call me back and set up an appointment to see the rental properties. We qualified under their terms and then put our money down for a place. They said we were approved on their end but then the owner came back and disapproved us. They never said on what grounds this decision was based. They did explain that ultimately, the owner decides. Then, Keith worked diligently with me to include texting and calling me back late in the evenings to accommodate seeing the other properties until we finally found one. What I don't understand is the following: Why requests to see a property like some others on Zillow do not have appointments we can schedule ourselves on availability. Why they wont let us put our deposit down on a home we have not seen if we know we want that home. Its cash money people haha. Lastly, when we finally found a place we wanted. they sent our documents via email which is great. I wanted to clarify something in the lease in writing but the docusign does not allow that. Since we are 2 signers, they would not accept a pdf with the added language. I was finally able to get something via email confirmation to the lease and use docusign. Another issue we had was that the home did not have a garbage disposal. They said the owner would not allow us to put one in and pay for any maintenance. Not sure why?? Makes no sense to me. These should be negotiable items. So far, I found the ladies in the office to be very pleasant. That's definitely a feather in their cap. Will update once we move in and state whether the carpets were cleaned well and the minor fixes were done.

On Friday, 6/26, my partner and I scheduled a showing for Monday, 6/29 at 4:30 PM. We were specifically told that no earlier appointments were available, that we were the first people scheduled to view the apartment, and that we would likely have the opportunity to rent it. Based on that information, we both rearranged our work schedules, found coverage for our shifts, inconvenienced several coworkers, and lost income just to make this appointment. Then, just five hours before our scheduled showing, we were told the appointment was canceled because someone else had already rented the apartment. The cancellation itself was frustrating, but the way it was handled made the experience far worse. When I expressed why we were upset after taking time off work and losing wages based on the information we had been given, the Leasing Manager working on Monday, 6/29, told me they didn't understand why I was upset and that this was "just the process." If that's truly their process, it's a process that shows little respect for prospective tenants' time, commitments, or finances. A simple acknowledgment of the inconvenience or a sincere apology would have gone a long way. Instead, the response was dismissive, unprofessional, and completely lacking in empathy. Our time, our income, and the effort we put into rearranging our schedules apparently meant nothing. If you're considering renting here, be aware that even a confirmed showing may not mean much, and don't assume the company values your time the way you value theirs. There are plenty of property management companies that communicate honestly and treat prospective tenants with professionalism. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this one.

The staff here is incredibly rude. We lived here for only a year and they didn't renew our lease…read morenor did they give us a reason why they didn't renew our lease. We had many people prop the outside apartment building door open with vapes, straws, rocks, etc. it made us feel unsafe and all they said was "oh yeah that happens all the time" if it happens all the time why even give a key to the apartment building door in the first place????! WILL NEVER RECOMMEND EVER the only nice thing about this place was the pool and even that kinda sucked. The pool was almost always dirty with leaves like they never had someone come clean it. I think they had someone clean it once while we were there. This place sucks. For the price you'd think they'd be better but fuck this place.

Governor Mifflin apartments are some of the most poorly maintained buildings I've ever been in, and…read morethe people they allow to move in are borderline barbaric in the amount of noise they generate and how inconsiderate they are of other residents. In addition, the company is nickel and diming me on my way out, charging me a late fee for my lease ending because I did it two days late of the allotted 60 day lead time. Not only are these apartments overpriced for what you get, the amount of noise generated from all surrounding apartments is beyond unacceptable. There is very little insulation between each vertical unit, and you can hear screaming kids across the hallway without any difficulty even when you're all the way in the back of your own unit. I can even hear my neighbors upstairs when they're peeing in the bathroom all the way from in my living room! "Are you serious!?" Why yes, yes I am! There are also very few overhead light fixtures in places where you would need them. The bedroom does not have a light and you need to provide your own; same with the living room. The dining area which is open to the living does have a light, though, but it's not placed center enough to light both spaces. The kitchenette is also an embarrassment. They have the cheapest coil electric stove they could buy, and the refrigerator is no different in quality. My oven needs to be set 25 degrees over all recommended temperature settings because it's so antiquated. There is almost no counter space for preparing food, and what little space you have, it is consumed by typical kitchen items like a microwave. The floor in my base level unit is clearly uneven because of cracks within the foundation. This just goes with their whole theme of not maintaining the building but wanting to get people in as fast as possible with little care of quality or safety. They care about making money, but they don't care about providing a quality living space. The company couldn't care less if you feel safe and secure within your living space. At the end of the day, between the noise, the neighbors being savages, and the poor maintenance of the building and units in general, I would never recommend this place to anyone who needs a place to live. I wouldn't even recommend it if rents were halved across the board. My rent increases by four percent every year, and the building has become more and more intolerable to live in over the years. Once I move out in a month, I won't miss this place. If anyone I know or come across thinks about moving in here, I will forewarn them of what they would be getting into if they made the poor choice of actually moving in here. You could argue that it's just me being bitter after my exit, but the reality is that the apartments speak for themselves. They are a disgrace. I would go on to say that I bet the buildings wouldn't even pass inspection. I don't feel safe living here.
