Unfortunately, the issue was a defective coil and, although it was covered by my warranty (I replaced the unit in 2017), it was still a bit of a pricey fix and took over a month because the part had to be manufactured. Keiley was super helpful and kept me updated throughout the process, and I decided to get a preventative maintenance agreement for twice a year service because I didn't want anything like this to happen again. We have had several service visits, including one to our new house right after we moved. I believe the technician Javier has come to every one of the visits, and he is extremely professional and really goes above and beyond. There was an issue right after we moved in (because I installed the thermostat - badly) and even though I believe it was slightly out of the scope of his job, Javier took the time to help me fix my mistakes.

Their most excellent techs gave us a step by step, filled us in on tech terms we didn't understand, gave me a tutorial, let me follow them around to learn a few things, md recommendations, diagnosed the problem, & fixed it in less than an hr. For sure we're using Duncan to install our new system. Totally honest... I want to replace the system but my hubby says next yr. He's the boss...VET... For certain were using Duncan. I have never experienced service people so responsive in my life! The tech, Nick, was amazing, competent, and gave us all info. about their progress. We actually called them on a Friday night and they came out on a Sat. Morning, and had it fixed that afternoon. The owner, Les, even called a couple of times to update us and to see how we were doing. Their prices were also extremely reasonable. Please don't suffer like we did, call Allstar first!

Within a month or two the unit started making a loud noise when it kicked on. They came out and replaced some parts, but within a few months it started making the loud noise again. A tech came out and agreed it was a problem. Now we are getting the run around from All star and the manufacturer Daiken/Goodman. No one is answering us and we have even talked to their homeowner relations department in TN. Customers don't matter with Allstar or they would be helping us with the manufacturer. Unless you love being sent on a wild goose chase, check out other AC companies.
