We didn't declare a set price from day one, which is my fault, and I've never gotten my taxes done like this, but I didn't think it would be so expensive, since it never was in the past and things haven't changed much for me. I brought to his attention the price of my taxes was much steeper than I'd expected, and to my surprise he responded that the price he was going to originally charge me for was more than double what the invoice said... :0 omg! Apparently it took him so much longer than expected and it was so complicated for him, for whatever reasons he had. I'm grateful he didn't charge me four times the amount I was expecting to pay, thank god. He did deduct a little more from my invoice and I was grateful for that, but he only did it because I complained. Moral of the story, next time I get my taxes done I'll do it on a set price ahead of time so there are no surprises. Other than that, they are a professional business, just not right for my needs. Lesson learned.
