The staff welcomed us and took a great deal of time to sit with us go over all the services they offer. We Met with Kat, the Admissions Director who was very knowledgeable and able to answer all our questions. Then Mary, the Executive Director stepped in to visit with us and finally Stephanie, LVN. Stephanie had the sweetest personality and we just know that dad is going to respond well to her. The facility is nice and will meet dad's needs. we also really appreciate that their rate is all inclusive will not increase as dad's condition declines. Other places we visited are corporately owned and double the cost. Whereas Villa South is family owned. Dad doesn't need granite countertops and fancy dining rooms. He needs a place that feels like home and at Villa South, my brother and I believe they can offer that. They have a theatre, lovely garden, and activities to keep dad busy. Obviously dad has not moved in yet, so this review is solely based off of our experience thus far. We are very hopeful for a happy future for dad at Villa South and look forward to working with the pleasant staff at Villa South that we have connected with.

They truly love them and have their best interest at heart. With very difficult disease states to manage most places would have discharged them. Yet the Villa South has worked diligently to address their needs, have been extremely patient at keeping my family happy. The staff communicate well and have always been willing to work with me . He wound up being there for almost four weeks, one of which we had to pay out of pocket while I found a place for him to be closer to where I live. I don't envy these folks or the job they have to do. It takes a special person. Process wise, things were clunky. His case manager was fairly helpful for the things he could do and it was hard to tell where things were failing. During the week we paid for, I was actively trying to get all of the paperwork together so he could be accepted in the community I was moving him into. It was difficult to get everything wrapped up. The day before I was planning on leaving with him, we were still waiting for a doctor to sign the right document which they thought was done the previous week. Getting all this accomplished was difficult. I got in touch with the head administrator and by the end of that day, we had everything over the line. It all seemed unnecessary to struggle so much, but paperwork these days isn't easy. Everyone has different and inconsistent rules. I'm not saying Coastal Palms didn't care for him, but it was not a stress free month to say the least.

Front desk staff (10/29/24) and NP provider MAEGAN J LEDGER here called my husband "pushy" and…read more"persistent" after bringing our 4 year old son here yesterday in office with a 103.1 temp, and strep symptoms. After his visit yesterday because the strep swab test in house came back negative (most likely to catching it TOO EARLY NOT uncommon), they didn't prescribe or help our son in anyway! We left the office with NOTHING. Told us to just keep alternating with motrin and Tylenol until the strep culture came back which would take 3 days...Excuse me, WHAT?!! We called today to communicate that he's not any better less than 24 hours after he was seen yesterday. They would not help us in anyway until this evening at 6pm and that was after basically begging them to call in my son medicine so he can get better. Kids DIE from prolonged, untreated strep. I did not feel comfortable waiting 3+ days to get this treated!! How is it safe to prolong a bacterial infection with no antibiotics, and just treat it multiple times daily for 3+ days with Tylenol & motrin?! This is what the NP instructed us to do! REALLY?! They were very rude and finally agreed to send in my son some antibiotics, and was very rude during that conversation name calling my husband pushy... They just wanted us to come in again, get $$ from us, and I guess felt ok with exposing my sick child again with germs. They don't care, simple as that & they showed that. I will never take my kids back here again. I'm absolutely disgusted with how my children, and my husband were treated here by staff and the NP provider that refused to help my son. Save your money, and time and go somewhere with people who ACTUALLY care.

I have been here at least 5 times (ik it's sounds like a lot, but I had a lot of postpartum…read moreproblems months ago, the flu [different strands], twice during pregnancy, and I had a horrible leg injury as of last week). This place is the best ER there is. I have only been referred to the hospital once from here because they found I had retained placenta and had to be admitted. The doctors and patients are always so nice and willing to help, and they go above and beyond. I have had insurance coming here, and I have had no insurance coming here. Either way, I saved a ton of money and they are always quick to handle the problem. I will always refer this place if someone asks me where they need to go. 11/10, definitely recommend. I would give 6 stars if possible.
