The room she showed us could use a little update but overall it was a nice community. The sales director interduce us to all of the staff members as we walked by and she knew all of the residents names which we thought was great. The place was clean and welcoming. We will definitely keep Creekside on our list for when we are ready to move mom.

Unfortunately, things aren't always what they seem. I was…read moreheartbroken when my grandfather was kicked out after three days because he was a persistent whistler. I was under the understanding that staff was able to deal with aspects of dementia, but not this one. His whistling upset other residents, resulting in them (residents) threatening him with violence. Naturally, he was defensive when he was threatened. They sent him to a mental health facility, and as the new facility informed me (he was no longer welcome back at Creekside, per a staff member). I assumed he was done but was assured by management that they would evaluate him after two weeks at the mental health facility, where he strangely had no issues. I should have pulled him out then, but I wanted him to have a nice room at a clean facility. Ultimately he was determined not to qualify to return to the regular or memory care section. So I paid a $1500 entry fee for three days of service and then for an additional two weeks at a place he would never be allowed back at. Fortunately, the assisted living facility he is at now has been going great, and they tell me he is very getting along with everyone, is helpful, and rarely ever whistles. I don't know the difference, but I am undoubtedly upset with how he was treated at CreekSide. It is very disappointing because the place is beautiful, but it seems like they may lack care skills for those with Dementia or Alzheimers.

Try to call them to talk to them but never answer the phone so went down there to talk to a Jan in the office she said that would not let this happen again, we told her we would be out by the 31st of July, by then all of her things were out and we had invited the whole family to say goodbye to her one more time when I went in on the 30th of July there was a painter in the apartment they had been in there all week long getting the apt ready to rent when we had not even turned in the keys to tell them we were out. It is very disappointed that a facility that should be caring could be so disrespectful. I guess making sure that they get the 4700 a month rent is more important than my mother. My mother would be heartbroken if she knew of this. I am just wandering if it is even legal that they can go in a apt. while our rent is paid up to the end of July. Very Disappointed.

Memory care was a total nightmare for our loved one and our family. If your loved one has…read moredifficulty communicating, do not trust them to be cared for at Harmony. Cleanliness and proper administering of medications was an ongoing problem. Shortly after moving in, most of her clothes were lost when laundered and replaced with clothes that were not hers and that did not fit her. Most of the memory care aids and nurses were really kind, but tended to be over-extended due to being short-staffed while Harmony kept adding evermore residents. When the hospital called Adult Protective Services and the police, a police detective asked Harmony for surveillance footage of the halls. The police detective was told that there are no operating surveillance cameras in the halls. So should there be any cause to pinpoint dates and times that an individual was in the room with your loved one, there is no surveillance record to show that. We moved our loved one to a different facility but she still exhibits the symptoms of PTSD from the time she spent at Harmony. Total nightmare.

Although in memory care, she was still lucid much of the time & in good health. In less than one year at Harmon, she was medically diagnosed as malnourished (by an outside physician) hospitalized & provided IV nourishment. This facility is often short staffed on the evening shift & unable to provide services to residents. What I am saying is not changing one's bedding & having them sleep in urine soaked sheets & night clothes is not what I expected when placing my loved one in their care. Look elsewhere.
