Considering the times (COVID and continued staffing issues for ALL health care/medical entities) I knew this was going to be difficult. Amada came through like champs! Interviewed us to get a care plan in place to cover all of dad's needs, called to review the plan to make sure nothing had been missed, then sent me the most amazingly bright, cheery, knowledgeable, and professional caregiver to take care of dad and give me a break. She was so patient with me (I was too nervous)...dad's a jewel of a human being but his needs are bit intense (meds & restricted fluids) because timing is everything. Sonja didn't miss a beat. Amada Senior Care was truly accommodating, allowing me to set a pretty standard schedule for them to provide the Respite Care so I could schedule my own appointments ahead of time. Having a Master's Degree in Health Care Administration, as well as having worked the field for many years, I have very high expectations...Amada Senior Care has, thus far, exceeded those expectations. I was very quick to leave a review when I felt that they were failing my mother, and so I would also like to say that they are doing something right. They went ahead and prescribed a medication that would take the place of the medication that was taken from her. I want you all to know that the prescribed medication that Iris Medical gave to her has absolutely changed her life....ONE MEDICINE. She is able to stay awake and be active during the waking hours. She feels absolutely amazing and I am so very grateful that Iris has done the right thing.

At first my care was okay, the man that was my first therapist would look at me like a meat on a…read morebone and it made me feel uncomfortable so they switched me therapist after I said something and she was great until she started adding patients to my schedule so instead of one on one therapy to focus on the healing I required there was less and less time for the focus on my healing, I was always stuck on the sit down bicycle when first coming in and again my healing not being met. And the very last time I met with my therapist, she scolded me for missing some appointments because I had strep(didn't want anyone else getting it), and I did accidentally have two appointments at one time, which I apologized for. And her schedule all the sudden changed and all the other therapist started leaving, so I was finally told after not seeing my therapist for almost two months that they were looking for somewhere else that took my insurance. They weren't doing my therapy any more.

During August 2026 my brother spent a total of 24 days here. His first stay was 10 days when his…read moretime was up they sent him back to the hospital then after a few days in the hospital he was sent back for more rehab then sent home after 14 days. His stay was due to a spinal cord injury. During his stay he progressively lost function and independence! He also received a hospital acquired infection in his blood. They kept him for an extra few days while treating him for the infection they caused. While he was there almost every thing was done for him! Instead of having him practice daily how to care for himself independently they did it for him and used equipment that he didn't have for use at home. When he was discharged he was sent home without any home health and still unable to do anything independently for himself! He couldn't get himself into the bed because they used a lift at the rehab and he had to use a slide board at home and wasn't sure how. He couldn't get his shoes on because they did it for him instead of teaching him how to use the tools to do it himself. He couldn't get onto the bed side commode with a slide board because they used a lift. THIS Place is not a rehabilitation facility! It's a glorified nursing facility. If you or your loved ones hopes are to learn how to be independent at home don't go here it's not worth the risk! Not only did they send him home without an after care program they sent him home without having any one that could help him at home! We are currently looking for another rehabilitation facility that will actually teach him and help with setting up after care programs.

My brother had defecated in his bed as he is unable to walk at this time and was left for 3 hours like this despite several requests to change him. It took a call to management before the situation was remedied. A few days later the same situation occurred at which time my brother became upset and began to act out. He suffers from brain injury after several strokes so rather than try to work with him, they sent him to a hospital once again. He will not be returning to this facility and I would not recommend them.
