The woman who cut and styled my hair was very nice and welcoming, but she talked the entire time and I believe it distracted her from doing a good job. I asked Denisse Gomez to even out my hair cause Great clips cut it poorly and she was making it uneven as she was cutting it and it looked as if she fixed it and she didn't cause when i straighten it, it was uneven and before leaving she said "if it's uneven come back and i'll fix it" i no longer was willing to cut more hair off so i asked for a refund and she said they do not give refunds after two days of leaving me on read. but nowhere in this business does it state that to my knowledge. I had my haircut here yesterday by Denise. It was my first time with her and she did an excellent job. My regular hair stylest at another salon had a family emergency and cancelled my appointment. I wanted to get in quickly somewhere because my hair needed a cut. I found the review by Kay N. here on Yelp where she mentioned the stylest Denise. I called and they got me right in. Denise was very personalble and friendly and did a great job on my hair. The others there were very friendly as well. The price was a bargain compared to what I usually have to pay. If you are hesitant to try a new salon, take the leap. I had a great experience and I am thinking about going back for color. read more

Freshly moved into town, was in need of a haircut really bad, and looked this place up. Seemed like it had good reviews. I drag my husband to drive 25 minutes to this place. It's Saturday and the store hours say it closes at 6. We get there at 5 and there are no cars and the store "open" sign is not on but there are two women inside. I go up to the door and the door is OPEN. I walk in and say "are yall open?" and one lady doesn't even look at me and keeps packing away her stuff while the other one looks at me and answers that yeah we are closed and I say "well it says yall close at 6 on the internet" and she responds that yeah we close at 6 but sometimes we close early when there isn't any appointments and there isn't any customers. I just laugh and say ok thanks and walk out. Employees seemed to not realize that there was a perfectly good capable customer in front of them willing to pay them for their services. What's the point of store hours if you don't abide by them. Definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. Don't recommend read more

So I saw this woman in a local business with the CUTEST haircut with this bombshell red color and I had to ask where she had her hair done and that is how I discovered Sensational Hair. From the minute I stepped in I found everyone to be friendly and welcoming. Hannah was my stylist for the day and I was nervous as I'd been turned down by other stylists who "aren't the best with ethnic hair..." Whatever. She sat me down and we talked about exactly what I wanted. She was very professional and this was one of the best hair consultations I've ever had. She got down to business coloring and cutting and she checked in often to make sure I liked the direction we were going in. The end result was better than I could have asked for! If I could give this place zero stars I would. As soon as I walked in the skinny lady at the front who looks like a pterodactyl rolled her eyes before I even said anything. I simply asked for ONE haircut and she proceeded to say, "Well there's only one person here.. so.." (mind you there are no other customers in store, only one other employee sitting in the back doing nothing) So my mother and I, confused, asked, "what do you mean?" Apparently she misunderstood our one question we asked from 5ft away and said, "There's only one person here. I'm the only one that can cut hair and I can't do two at the same time. I can't do the both of you, I'm just one person" I reminded her that it was just ME who wanted a haircut and it seemed she just did not want to do her job or make some money. So rather than making her day worse by my new customer willing to give her my hard earned money presence I told my mom that it's ok, we could just go. As we walked out the door she VERY SARCASTICALLY said, "Well SORRYYY!!" She wasn't. Don't go here. It's dark, shabby, unorganized, very rude excuse for an employee(especially to be at the front!!) looked like she was wearing pajamas to work, just terrible as soon as I walked in. Went to Senational Hair as a walk in at 3pm. Front door says they welcome walk-ins. Store does not close until 6pm. I was told they would not be taking any more walk ins for the day. Poor customer service!!!! So if they won't honor their sign, I can only imagine the calibur of stylist that work at this establishment. read more

I had a nightmare of an experience with this beauty salon. I moved here from San Diego about a month and a half ago. I went to this place and got a highlight that was horrible. The beautician was Nelda. I came back the next day to see if there's anything reasonable that could be done. She insisted that there was nothing wrong. She said that her manager told her I have to pay for whatever improvement that has to be done. This beautician was very rude and insisted nothing was wrong when in fact my brown hair turned blond. I wanted highlights not a head full of blond hair. I am a senior citizen, 74 years old with many years of experience with different hair stylists. I didn't mind paying extra but it was her attitude that was simply unacceptable. Do not to go to this place unless you want to throw your money away or be a victim of total rudeness! read more

well I can't comment much on the work they do but I went for an interview for a stylist position an went great so I thought. I called back to see if I had position as I was instructed to do by the manager an she out right told me I didn't get position cause I didn't speak Spanish yes people this is texas what use to be part of Mexico but it is NOT MEXICO an fyi I am half Hispanic an I do speak some Spanish just goes to show just because a person doesn't fit what u think they should be it just might be so choose your words very carefully next time an btw I found a job at a more modern salon u guys really need to get more modern an get rid of that 1970's look lol anyway just wanted the public an other nonhispanic stylist to know how rude an offensive u were an to think twice before getting a service at your establishment. cause u come off kind of racist! in my book read more
