5 out of 6 last appointment the Dr didn't show!! Yesterday I showed up for my appointment and the drs wife forgot to tell him about my appointment(happened 2 out of 3 times I tried a few weeks previously because of wanting botox, he didn't show either). I needed a couple more spots touched up, so I made an appointment, and of course, she didn't tell him, so we rescheduled for after my hair appointment at 4. I was going to get done early, so I messaged if we could do 3, and she messaged back with yes. So I showed up at 230 and went in at 3... then to be told the Dr is not there. I said fine what about tomorrow she said yes 2:30. So an hour later, I get a call, and she tells me she can't get ahold of the Dr for the appointment today..like what!!! We just talked about this ..so on top of it..he was never going to show. So I decided to give one more chance because I already did most of my botox a few weeks ago, so I wanted to do it with him since he had already started it. I messaged today to make sure my appointment was going to be good. I even asked what time, even though I knew what time.. I wanted to see if they knew it and make sure it was in the calendar. Did I even get a message back ? NOPE! Like WHAT!! You cant even message me, its because you didnt put my in the schedule...like how crazy is this all. So you know u wasn't put in the calendar. So in the matter of just 4 appointment, none of them... did he show up!!! Like what kind of crazy world is this business running in? It's legit crazy! And this happened before a couple of weeks ago as well! So i would say about 75% off my appointments, the dr never showed for. Like talk about being treated like trash. If you want to be treated like this, this is your spot!!! I'm glad I made an appointment yesterday with another place because I knew they would do it again, and they did!! How crazy is that! Ud think they would want to make sure i get treated, but nope..just ignored and not put in the calendar. Like, are they prejudiced? I really am so blown away by this. There is a lady there, the esthetician. I think she is married to Dr Kent? This woman was so rude to me. I have olive skin. More tanned look. This lady said I did not qualify for most treatments because of my skin color. A little offended, not sure why, but I asked for a microneedling. She made me feel so uncomfortable and rude that I actually left crying. Dr Kent was very nice, but that staff was horrible. I guess if I had to work with that lady, I would be unhappy too, sorry. I felt very taken advantage of. Simply went in for a consultation and left spending $700. I would hardly call it sales when I felt like I was never asked what I wanted to do. Very pushy. Good at sales, but this kind of sales shouldn't be for skin or anything to do with health. She had me on the strongest tretinoin morning and night. My friends sister is a dermatologist and was SHOCKED to see me when my skin was falling off and rashing up. She said no one would ever start anyone on that dose unless they don't know what they are doing or just want you to go through product fast enough to buy it again (sales). I wanted the skin resurfacing and eventually found out they charge upwards of $7K for it?! I went to several skin clinics and the highest I heard for that same procedure was $3.5K. This is a review of my experience . I tried to be detailed and fair about everything. My appointment was for facial threads consult. I was given an estimate of $1K. When I arrived, Susan suggested several services to me (laser, peels etc.). I told her my budget was tight. She then said, at the very least, I had to invest in the skincare program ($500) or there was a possibility the doctor would not treat me. I felt pressured to agree, so I did. I acknowledge, I could have left at this time. This moved my estimate up to approximately $1500. Dr. K. Brown is an anesthesiologist and very nice to interact with. We discussed my plan and it was decided that I could also benefit from some Botox. Final Agreed plan prior to procedure: 2-4 threads facial threads, a small amount of lip filler, possibly a small amount under the eyes, 1 syringe of Botox, and Susan's skin care program. Final high estimate $3-3500K. He injected Botox to my crows feet, above my lip line, between my brows, on my nose (?) and on my forehead. We had discussed my forehead and decided against it since in the past it causes my eyelids to droop. I assumed he was injecting the Botox volume we discussed. He did my lips. Then threads, which are very painful, even numbed. I have had several procedures done without anesthesia not a wimp. The threads made my face look weird. Picture starving children. Filler had to be injected in my cheeks to even it out. I was surprised he would place 4 threads without pausing to see the effect first of each first. When trying to correct the problem he seemed frazzled. Injecting, looking, injecting, repeat . No discussion of cost. I took oral arnica as directed & applied topical arnica. I swelled for 12 days. Even with 5 day steroids as directed and icing every 2 hours for 48 hours. I had large bruises on both cheeks, around my mouth, forehead & under both eyes. Looked like I had been in a car crash. Botox and filler before, a couple tiny bruises at most. Not taking medications that would make me bruise. Not anemic. Neither Susan or the doctor will sugar coat their opinion of your looks. If you are poor at saying no to up selling do not go to this practice. Final bill $6641. Susan wrote the amount on piece of paper. No breakdown. They should not charge full price or at all if the procedure does not have the effect they say it will. Not what I hope for, what they say. My lips are okay. The cheek filler made my face look chubby. I am 5'5 and 130 lbs. Never had a chubby face. My eyelids are very droopy. Nothing is grossly disfigured. Thankfully, in 3-6 months it will start to go away. The face wash and hydrating cream are nice. None of the other skin products wow me. I never received a follow up call to check on me. I was most disappointed about that. I read several reviews before and several after, almost all mentioned Susan's pressured sales pitch and non compassionate behavior. And many speak of unexpected high final bills. You should read as many reviews as you can before you make your decision. read more

Susan made me feel like an individual and she took everything into consideration before treating me. The bigger picture is how cool sculpting ultimately helps us on this journey but is not the end all be all. These can be hard conversations to have, and Susan was very genuine. The facility is pristine with everything you need. Various forms of art and murals decorate the walls and even the lighting is thoughtful. Each room has a television with streaming options. Susan was meticulous with my treatment all while making sure I was comfortable. They do not let you experience pain here. There is a doctor on sight which made me very comfortable knowing that if I needed anything medical advice and treatment was available. I received immediate attention at the slightest amount of pain. (Being frozen can kind of hurt) I received my treatments on Friday afternoon and had dinner plans after. They left me in such good condition that I was able to freshen up and get ready for my dinner date. This is the definition of no down time. I have also received after care supplies and instruction. Again, they do not want you to be in pain here and they make sure you are not. Dr Kent Brown is a magician with filler and with Botox/Jeuveau. I'm a huge Jeuveau (neurotoxin) fan... Dr Brown is an anesthesiologist so literally there is little to no pain during/after injection. I like to call him "Edward Injector Hands" because he's such an artist lol. I have been to plastic surgeons before that aren't able to do what he does. The entire office is great. Susan Brown runs the office and is undoubtedly up to date on the most current fillers, neurotoxins, and beauty trends. I recommend them to anyone interested in injectables and skin care treatments. If I could post no stars, I would. I went in to find a way to tighten the skin on my thighs. After sharing my concerns in person, I trusted the staff to suggest the best course of action. The technician suggested velashape and cool tone. Velashape is meant to reduce cellulite and cool tone is for muscle contouring. I am an ultra runner and have plenty of muscle but trusted that the staff would know best. I left there feeling that neither procedure did a thing for me but was told to give it time. A few weeks later I went back asking they felt there was anything else that would work. I had tried coolsculpting once before on my abdomen and hadn't seen any results but after some convincing, I once again, trusted the person involved and allowed it. I wound up going to my doctor and a cosmetic surgeon last week. I now have skin damage, nerve damage and my legs look 10x worse. My doctor said that even if the coolsculpt works, it is only eliminating fat, therefore leaving excess skin behind, which was the issue I went in for in the first place. So, after spending over $3000 on procedures and skin creams they suggested would make a difference, all I have to show for it is more damaged, baggy, crepey skin on my thighs. I have called and sent texts but my messages are not being answered. I am being completely ignored. Buyer Beware!!!! They just want your money. I have had my cool sculpting done here and am very impressed with the results that I continue to see. I decided to return for facial threads. Doc recommended 6 total. 4 to fix my jawline (which was my main concern) and 2 to lift the eye/forehead area. Since the forehead was not too much of a concern to me we went with 4. Doctor Brown does his own maneuver where he adjusts the threads inside. I felt and saw immediate results. I have been getting threads and trying to rebuild my jawline in Tucson for the past year and have not experienced results like the results I have now. I was also given the complete Zo Obagi skincare line. It is expensive but my skin looks poreless and my acne breakouts are under control with less appearance of former acne scars. Horrible experience. They lied to me. The Dr. didn't do what I requested, but what he thought was best because he's been doing it for so long he knows everything. I am no where near pleased. They refuse to do anything to try to make it right. I also believe Dr. Brown was under the influence of something when he treated me. He was very scattered. Please DO NOT go to this place. They will mislead you and refuse to back up their claims. I am currently filing a claim with the medical board, the BBB and reporting it to news stations. I really don't understand the negative reviews of this establishment. I just completed a package of Cool Sculpting here and I really had an excellent experience. The office is very nice and the front desk staff are great! Consultations are complimentary and very thorough! I met with Susan for my consult and she was extremely knowledgable about Cool Sculpting and answered all of my questions. I had been researching it for quite some time and I finally decided to do it. It is a little awkward getting in front of someone in your skivvies and having your problem areas handled but I was impressed how much time went into assessing which hand pieces and which areas would need treatment to get the results I desired. Susan makes the whole process very comfortable :) The same happens before each hand piece is applied to ensure correct placement for the best results! Not to mention I'm pretty sure they have just about the nicest treatment rooms. Giant flat screen tv with Apple TV, movies and tv shows galore and netflix. Plush robes, blankets, and a nice remote control chair so you are super comfy laying back watching a movie for a couple hours. They also have 3 machines (wow!) so you can do multiple hand pieces at once! Susan always comes to check if your comfortable too. I can see this becoming very addicting! 9 weeks ago I went in for a consultation with Susan. I was interested in a CO2 lazer. She explained the procedure to me and told me the price. Next I got to meet Dr. Brown who took all my information and told me I would be a good candidate. My procedure was scheduled to 2 weeks out. I started on the Zo Skin regiment which got my skin ready for the lazer procedure. I had the CO2 lazer done around Memorial Day. Dr. Brown gave me all the medicines which included antibiotics, eye drops, tranquilizer, pain pill, one to prevent fever blisters. Ibuprofin is also taken to prevent swelling. He is also an anesthegiologist so I was put in a twilight sleep for the procedure. There was no pain. A gel was applied after the procedure and I returned for recheck in 48 hours. At that time the post care procedures were explained. It has now been 7 weeks and the results are amazing. The deep wrinkles which were on my cheeks, and crows feet peeled and fell off. The new skin is smooth. The staff of Abby, Gabby, Susan and Dr. Brown were very professional and helpful. On 8/6/16 I spent the entire day and had Cool Sculpting done on several areas and Paid $7,245.00 with no results. After the treatments the areas treated blew up as they indicated they would. I continued to anticipate these areas to shrink as they broke down the fat cells. Unfortunately, that is not the case and every area I had treated never went back to pre cool sculpting size and has become a trouble area where I am unable to shed any weight and look excessively bloated. When I went in to get additional medicated pads after the procedure for pain, I was advised it will take time and make sure to exercise as well....... It has been over a year and I have been completely unhappy with NO positive results from this procedure and it is causing problems I did not have prior. Think twice before getting this procedure done. After researching this again I understand this is not an uncommon complaint. The topical skin care regimen is horrible! If I could leave a zero I would. I was told I would only need to use the product for 3-6 wks and after over 3 months I had minimal improvement, spent over $1200 dollars on products and ended up in urgent care for what was thought to be shingles but actually was a severe atopic dermatitis reaction. Even after that resolved Susan continued to tell me to follow her regimen which was causing a severe perioribital reaction, essentially the skin was burning off and peeling around my mouth. I went to a dermatologist for a second opinion who said STOP using the product, the combination, strength and duration of their regimen was causing extreme adverse reactions in my skin. He gave me a mild steroid cream to calm the skin, and sunscreen. ALL the while the office knew the challenges I was having and never called to check on me! Susan only knows one size fits all approach, she doesn't understand unique customizable treatment. Once I stopped treatment I was finally comfortable and I started to feel normal again, it was an absolute nightmare! When I fully healed I received 3 microdermabrasion treatments over 3 months at Massage Envy and used a little PCA serum for hydration and pigment control and 85% of my hyperpigmentation is gone at a fraction of the cost and pain free!!! Sensational Skin needs to ensure a doctor is involved, Susan is not a doctor and should be supervised. read more

I have read and watch video's regarding cold sculpting fat removal. I am fit, eat low carb but my inner thighs and arms I have been unhappy with even when I was my thinnest weight. I learned about this clinic from a close friend who had had a bunch of areas done. Susan did the coolsculpting on me. She spent a lot of time consulting and showing how she would treat my arms and bra area. She explained the procedure thoroughly, and what to expect during and after the procedure. She offered to start immediately, having 1 machine available. She put the cold sculpting on my arm. A few minuets later my hands a little numb, she moved another machine and put one suction on my back. I think the thing that impressed me the most, was how detailed the plan was and specific to me and how the different applicators work. I am scheduled to come back to do my knees and sides in October with a new small device. Furthermore, if you thought about doing this, go for it!! I had the cash to pay for it but then they wanted another $350.00 for skin cream! My skin is perfect and I have been going to a top dermatologist in Bervetly Hills. They wanted me to take it for 6 weeks before doing surgery. I have a tropical vacation I'm going on in 8 weeks and I wanted to do the surgery in 2 weeks. They gave me back the money and said unless I buy their pore cream and other creams( just another way to make $359) they wouldn't do it. Inward upset at the time and still I tell everyone not to go to there. I found the most wonderful place the Body Sculpting Center who can do your eyes right away and don't add extra charges, plus besides doing my Breasts I'm getting my tummy done for my trip, all in 1 surgery at a great price. For the tummy and eyes at Body Sculpting at Skinezone you would only get your eyes done after 6 weeks. They were very unprofessional with me and I had gotten off of a 16 g Hour shift they called the police on me and made it look like I took something, when I don't I work in a hospital, p,us I only take something when I have surgery or the dentist. Because of them I lost my position for not showing up at my night shift for an ER. They have wrecked my life and all I wNted was a console. The other doctor on Scotsdale avenue is going to do all 3 surges for me with no 6 week wait. The surgeon looked at my skin and said it was beautiful I look 10-15 years younger. I never got 1 complainant from the other place only if I don't buy their products they won't do it. I do my surgery next week abs I'm very excited espy because not only is he a good surgeon out for your money he does the surgery right there he owns it. Not impressed. The only reason I am giving this review 2 stars is because the front staff lady was very polite. I had a CoolSculpting consult with Susan and all I can say is that while she is extremely enthusiastic about CoolSculpting that the consult was unprofessional. She was clearly trying to up-sell me (I came in for two areas that bother me) and she made the point that most people need several areas of CoolSculpting done (like 8!!!) to be satisfied. She said the company recommends doing more than one or two spots to get a better all over result. This may make sense for some people but it absolutely does not for me. When I told her I just had one uneven side I wanted to address she tried to convince me to do the other side, although I clearly stated I was happy with it and did not want to touch it. When I asked her if there may be nerve pain and numbness after the procedure she literally said word for word "who cares?". I told her "I do", and she said to expect it. Hmm... a little professionalism may go a long way here. Although she was nice enough she was unrefined and I felt I was dealing with a used car salesman. I have had two other consults this week, both of which were extremely professional, without any attempts at unnecessary up-selling happening. Sensational skin or should I say Susan, was so overpowering and rushed me here and rushed me there and did cool sculpting on my upper back where it should never have been done. And I didn't know that at the time but later on about a month I started getting pain back there and it's where she did cool sculpting and I developed a lipoma that was the size of a grapefruit. I had to surgically have it removed which I almost died on the table. Then I had to have blood transfusions, this company almost killed me. Please do not go to Sensational Skin. Susan is just after your money and nothing else she does not care about you. By the time I left there being from pillar to post in that office, They said I old them $12,000. And when I went back and show them where I had to have the surgery for the lipoma they refused to do anything and it was the one place that cool sculpting is never supposed to be done right under the neck in the back. Because I talk to the company. I am still having severe nerve damage pain in my upper back because of them. It will always be there. I see a pain specialist for it. I had an appointment about two weeks ago and the more I thought about it the madder I became. First, the receptionist was telling a client to not eat Brussels Sprouts because they were so high in calories and fat. I knew she was wrong and gave the client a look that said exactly that. Second, I was ushered into an office and given paperwork to fill out and then I was left there well past my appointment time. Finally, Susan, came in all apologetic and placed me in a room to discuss what I would like to have cool sculpted. Here's where my disappointment began. Susan seemed very helpful and eager until I started asking about pricing. She said all the clients have large budgets and gave me some pricing which I felt would need huge budgets! Then she put on a video of a Dr. Oz episode which explained briefly how cool sculpting worked and the results. I was put off that Sensational skin used Dr. Oz episodes to explain the process. My personal opinion is that Dr. Oz is a joke and to use an episode from his show was strange. Why doesn't Sensational Skin have their own testimonials and process in video form? The more questions I asked the more Susan became disinterested in me and then tried to sell me on their over priced skin products. If I didn't have a good sense of myself I would have felt fat and ugly by the time I left. I'm still interested in cool sculpting but will find another provider. read more

Susan, It seems as though you have confused me with another patient, as none of the information in your response is accurate. Its not surprising to hear that another patient was also unsatisfied. Your response has also proven that confidentiality is not a priority; given that this is a medical office, you are regulated by federal laws (HIPAA) that prohibit you from releasing patient information, especially in a public forum. DO NOT GO HERE!!! It is very rare that I take the time to write reviews, even when I have a bad experience. But I feel that this is a story that needs to be shared. I hope that whoever is seeing this will take the time to read it through. Here is my story: I bought a Groupon for their laser eyelift sometime in December. On January 2nd, I called to schedule the treatment. They told me that I needed to come in first for an initial consultation (with the doctor) and scheduled me for January 4th. I never met the doctor. Instead I was given a waiver to sign that prevented me from bringing any lawsuits against the business and another paper stating I had received a notice of their privacy practices and use of patient information - which I asked for, but never actually received. After that, I was joined by a member of the office staff who talked to me for five minutes regarding the procedure before moving on to attempting to sell me on other procedures, starting with a full skin resurfacing. When that failed, she moved on to having my lower eyes done, my crows feet, a brow lift, ultherapy. After an hour, she finally gave up and went back to the treatment that I had come in for, and the medication prep that I would have to do beforehand. I would need a facial cleanser, a toner, an exfoliant, Retin-A, prescription strength Hydroquinone, and sunscreen with zinc oxide. Luckily, she had a travel-sized kit that I could purchase for $240 (that would somehow cover 2 weeks of prep and 2 weeks of aftercare). I told her that it wasn't necessary, as I already had the Retin-A and Hydroquinone and after reviewing the ingredients, I knew where I could get the other items. So she tried to sell me on another kit, this one larger, but with a few free items. Again I declined. Eventually she gave me very minimal instructions on how to use the items, but not until the very end did she explain that I had to use them on my entire face. This did not make sense to me, as I was only having my eyelids done. Nor did I want to, as while Retin-A is often used to treat acne, it makes me break out in a very bad way. The woman could not tell me why I needed to use it across my face, but instead repeatedly showed me pictures of former clients and how nice it made their skin look. In the end, she simply told me that the doctor would not do the procedure unless I followed the instructions and treated my entire face. I wanted the procedure done, so I agreed and we scheduled a follow-up appointment for the 10th to meet the doctor, who would review my progress. I went shopping immediately after, and between Walmart and Amazon, I had acquired all the other treatments for about $30. All with virtually identical ingredients as the kit she had tried to sell me. As soon as I got home, I began the treatments and my face immediately started to break out. But I continued the treatments throughout the week until my appointment with the doctor. I never saw the doctor. I was shown to back, into a medical suite and told that the doctor would be with me shortly, but instead the same woman I had talked to before came in and informed me that the doctor was not going to treat me, because I did not buy their products and that the results would not come out well since I had declined to have my lower eyes done. I showed her the products I was using. She said it didn't matter, because legally, the doctor needed to write the prescriptions. I said okay, he can write me the scripts and I will have them filled at the pharmacy, where my insurance will pay for it. She told me that would not work, because they needed to make sure I would be using the right medication and so I needed to purchase it through them. Then she then told me that I wasn't a good candidate for the procedure as the Retin-A made my skin break out (as I told her it would). I asked to see the doctor, but she refused. If they were going to refuse to provide service because I would not buy their medication, they could have told me that from the beginning. There was no need for me to go and spend extra money for products that I would not have normally used. There was no reason for me to spend an entire week in embarrassment with the acne of a teenager. And there was no reason to waste my time or inconvenience my friend (who drove me for a second time) just for them to tell me they weren't going to treat me or allow me to see the doctor. These people are highly unprofessional and do not care about their clients, only how much money they can get out of them. Go elsewhere! read more

5 STARS ALL AROUND!!! I had the most amazing experience in this office. All of the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable, i felt so comfortable. When I came in for my Coolsculpting consultation and they made sure to go over absolutely everything with me about the process. Susan and Gabrielle made sure i did not feel pressured into doing the treatment and they gave me the best deal i had come across - and i had been to multiple consultations. When it came time for my treatment Susan and Gabrielle took great care of me, giving me time and explaining everything to me as they were doing it. I had 8 spots treated and they had 4 machines in the office to get it all done in 1 day instead of multiple different visits. When my Coolsculpting was done they ensured i knew the aftercare and what to expect. Jennifer at the front desk made sure to get me scheduled for my follow up appt 8 weeks later - she was the sweetest. Here i am now - down 35lbs looking and feeling the best i ever have thanks to the team at Sensational Skin. I am SO happy i decided to go here for my Coolsculpting. Bought a "Weekly Deal" for IPL hair removal. Susan did a great job of explaining the procedure and what else SS has available without making me feel pressured to buy any other procedures. I have had 2 of my 6 treatments so far and have not had any undesirable side effects. I would definitely recommend anyone considering IPL hair removal go and see Susan.
