Had a drip line that needed repaired, a technician came out an fix it, an in the process caused my 6 sprinkler zones to stop working, they were working perfectly before he came. I have been rescheduled 4 times, 2 for someone calling in sick I was told, an the other 2 was no shows, all 4 times was rescheduled to days I didn't agree upon, nor would of been told about if I didn't call myself to ask about it. I had another company fix the problem, and Senske can send my bill to collections for all I care. I wont be making any purchases in the future anyways. Take my advise an hire a small local company for irrigation problems. I'm sure Senske was great 70 years ago, but big time corporate has made them terrible. read more

I'm not trying to be annoying to you all but this is not fair at all. I went up to senske where a lady and two men asked me if my lights were plugged in. I wouldn't leave my house without trying to program the lights nor making sure their plugged in. I appreciate the help they gave me by telling me there will be someone to fix my lights the next day. My lights are STILL not on. My father in law went up to senkse TODAY where they asked him the same "Are the lights plugged in" They also told him that there will be someone out to fix them... Today Senske fertilized my neighbor's lawn and not mine. Another time the tech said that service was provided, but was not. It was evident as I was home all day. Another time, too much granular was placed in spots and I still have dead areas that have never been fixed. I am beyond frustrated. Anyone know of other businesses that do a better job than Senske? Frustrated. Booked a sprinkler blow-out with Senske. Had to rebook, due to a conflict and they canceled the appointment, instead of rebooking. It's the end of the season and now there are few options. Not left in a good spot. Really Frustrated. We have hired Senske to put up our Christmas Lights for 4 years. We also have them put up wreaths and swags. Each year I have had to show their "professional technicians" where to place the greeneries and prepare them. This year we were not home when they installed. Clear lights were supposed to be colored lights this year, didn't happen. New lights on fence won't come on. Wreaths supposed to be on windows were put on porch posts, This meant new holes drilled in the grout with upside down teardrop swags. The bows on the teardrops look like someone sat on them. The bows for the wreaths I spent a few hours last year reworking are gone. It is an embarrassing mess, I have been trying for 3 hours for someone to contact me, their phone receptionists have also tried. No luck yet!! read more

Senske was amazing in the past. We have used them since 2019. But, this year the lawn looks way worse than previous years and the tree management caused our mature maple to die. Accidents happen but how a company responds is telling. A field rep named Dave Wilson, agreed to come out on multiple occasions but no showed every time without calling. Additionally, I was on hold more than 10 minutes until the call ended. I called back and after a few minutes a rep picked up and was very nice. He gave me a number for another field rep named Ryan Edward and I called to leave a message. I am also supposed to get a call from a manager named Chuck. We'll see if anyone calls. This was the first year I prepaid and the lack of service could be the result of paying ahead instead of making them earn my business with each service. read more

Senske use to have good customer service but the last year they have gone down hill quick. I've had services completed that didn't work because it rained almost immediately after they left and have been trying to get the problem solved. They have charged me a higher price almost every visit the last year and I have had to call to have it adjusted. They say it has been taken care but continues to happen. They are to call prior to coming out since we have dogs that need to be brought in which has not happened the last couple times so they skip the back. Not ok. Also I've have made 2 attempts now in the last 10 days to reach a manager re: these and other issues and have been told they are unavailable and will call me. I have had no call back. Well Senske you may have lost another customer. So I have to edit my review after receiving a call finally from a supervisor. Andy returned my call and was awesome. Hired them to take care of aphid problem in tree. They said it was too early to spray for aphids but would be out when time was right. Two weeks later leaves started coming in and were decimated by aphids. Next weeks Senske showed up and sprayed tree and sent me a bill. Call and complained and they refused to refund for service. When I refused to pay they sent it for collection. read more

I had Senske come look at a broken sprinkler valve, When they came out a week later to look at it, they quoted me an outrageous price and a second broken valve. They came to my house when I only had one broken sprinkler valve, charged me $70, and left me with two broken valves. They also left my sprinkler box open in my front yard. I'm surprised by some of the reviews I just read. I have had zero issues dealing with Senske. The reps who answer the phones are helpful and knowledgeable. Techs are friendly and all seem to know what they're doing. I asked to be called by the techs whenever they are in route to the house so I can respond if I ever foget to unlock the back gate. I receive a call every time. Lawn looks great. I just set up my backflow preventer inspection because for some reason I forgot to include it in my annual renewal. Ari was the rep, she was able to apply my discount for paying annually and the test is set for tomorrow. I couldn't ask for or expect better service. read more

I called Senske to get an estimate for tree pruning...that is when the trouble started. The guy was late by 45 minutes with no call, but when he showed he was knowledgeable and friendly so I decided to go with it. I gave them a deposit of $543 and was told I would hear from Brad Senske in the next day or two to schedule my service. I did not hear back, I called and requested a call, waited another week and no call. I then requested to cancel the pruning and was told I had to wait for a call to do that. I waited another week and called again I was told that they would have someone call me, but would also start the paperwork up refund my money. Waited another week and was told it would be refunded by Friday November 27th and left a message for the branch manager. Still no call as of December 1st and no refund. I will never recommend Senske to anyone. Beware once they get your money. read more

We had a quote for a 3 tree removal done on MARCH 1, 2021 by Jose. He was extremely professional and direct in wanting to get us scheduled ASAP as he did not want our trees to bloom and wanted to "kick off their season" with our removal as he put it. Cool. He said the auditor was going to be calling us to take that deposit and then I would receive another call to then be schedule. A couple weeks went by and I did not receive a phone call, instead I had to call and speak with somebody in customer service who tried to then get ahold of your auditor at the time only to get back on the line and tell me she could not be reached. She then took my payment and noted that the auditor would be giving me a call to verify the deposit. Later that day I received a message saying they had received my deposit and Ben would be calling to schedule that tree removal. On March 29th Ben called to get us scheduled for May 5th. Both my husband and myself were extremely surprised it was out that far. We were under the understanding it would be a lot sooner than that when we talked with Jose. On May 5th at 930am we had yet to receive a phone call verifying arrival and so I instructed my husband to call in which he was informed by the customer service rep that we were actually scheduled for the 21st of May. He then advised them that was NOT correct and he had specifically requested that date off as he wanted to be present at the time of removal. We were then told that the technician had changed that date, HOWEVER, we were NOT made aware until we had to call. Ben Senske then called at 730am on Saturday the 15th to inform me that we had to reschedule from the 21st to the 27th as "one of his guys is having a tooth extracted that day". 730 ON A GODDAMN SATURDAY!! I understand shit happens, but it just seemed shady to me! I lost my cool with him and told him this was becoming asinine, we have now been rescheduled for the 3RD TIME!!! I said this was ridiculous. I have had to reschedule and move around appts due to the consistent changing schedule on your end. I told him if we were rescheduled ANOTHER TIME after the 27th that I would like to be compensated as this has become way more of a hassle than it EVER should have been!! He agreed there would be compensation if there would be a need to reschedule but assured me there wouldn't be. Even went as far to say he was noting that conversation on my account. Which I called back to check that it was noted, as I was informed it was! I received yet another phone call from Ben Senske on May 26th at 430pm to inform me we needed to reschedule AGAIN! to Friday the 28th - completing it on Tuesday June 1st- as his "guys are in Dayton and were not going to be able to finish that job and wouldn't be able to make it tomorrow to mine." The fact that I have waited almost 2.5 months since we had our deposit paid and the service has been on decline ever since that quote is absolutely unexpectable. When you have somebody who also holds the company name and has had such a lack of customer service, that's a HUGE reflection on your company. Which I am sure his predecessors have worked HARD to create the name and customer service that keeps customers coming back as well of spreading the word of mouth for their services. After this encounter it has been an absolute nightmare and put a horrid taste in my mouth. I will not refer ANYBODY I know to this company as this has been a poor look especially when you have somebody who holds your company name not only as a logo but also as their surname! I called for a quote in College Place to remove two trees. I was told to expect an expert on Wednesday February 1, 2018 at 9am for a quote. Wednesday at 9:15 I was called from Senske saying people were sick and my quote needed to be moved to Friday, February 2, 2018 at 9am. I agreed, but Friday at 9:20am I got a call saying they couldn't make it and they would like to come next week. I was very frustrated and said I would never use a company that missed two appointments that they set up. Bottom line, don't use Senske. read more

There is a very poor level of communications and timing of services. This may be a regional problem with the local office but is not addressed by the home office. In addition the applications did not green up the lawn during the summer and the last application, which is a spring pre-emergence, was sprayed on top of the yard leaves where it won't reach the lawn. We were told this application needed to be watered in but with our irrigation shut down for the winter that is not possible. We will not use Senske again. read more

They came out to spray for an ant problem, fast courteous. Sadly worked for less than 30 days but they wanted to charge again. Avoid.

They came out ONCE, after waiting 3 weeks from the first call (not including a missed appointment on their part in which they did NOT even notify me that they couldn't come). They identified a broken sprinkler pipe that they couldn't fix without ordering parts. I had to call SEVERAL times to schedule an appointment to repair the pipe. After 3 more weeks, in which my lawn was dying in the eastern WA DESERT sun, I finally hired another company that fixed everything. THEN Senske NEVER sent me a bill BUT did turn it over to COLLECTIONS. Once I received the collections bill I paid it immediate. I will NEVER recommend Senske to anyone. read more

I had senske trim 2 trees to shape and wind sail them. They topped one that was only a few years old ( cut off the main trunk) and it died. I have been calling for months to get them to replace it but have gotten the run around. You cannot count on Senske to do what they say they will do. They do not come when they say they will for irrigation issues. They will not give you a timeframe for arrival, only the day They will come and do not even contact you to let you know they will not be there. I have been waiting two days for them to get here after the scheduled appointment time. When I used their lawn spraying, I still had many weeds. Find someone else... Senske must learn about basic soil and biological science. Learn and read about the products sold. Don't apply Merit to frozen ground and expect the land owner to turn on their winterized watering system to soak frozen snow covered soil. The freeze level was at 6"! If in doubt measure! It is useless to try and use this product this way. As stated on your billing statement. TERMS AND CONDITIONS "Senske is responsible for scheduling and timely treatment" Last year an attempt to sell me codling month prevention on apples with no knowledge on the timing and use of the insecticide. The improper timing would have resulted in the unnecessary killing of native bees without the slightest stoppage of codling month. Steer clear. I hired these guys for lawn and tree care service. My lawn has never had more weeds than it does now. In May they came out and sprayed while it was raining which basically negated the spray completely. It didn't keep them from charging me though. They said they would come out every 6 weeks but after 9 weeks I finally had to call them. They said it had been too hot and that is why they hadn't provided service so my lawn looks ridiculous. Poor customer service. They don't message or call prior to showing up and then have the nerve to try and come and upsell more products when they can't provide the service they have already sold me. After looking on the Internet for a company to spray my trees for insects I called Senske tree and lawn service for a estimate. A very professional gentleman came out and gave me a reasonable estimate to spray the trees. He noted that I had a dog and said I would be contacted to schedule a time for them to come and spray. I was contacted through a email that said if this time does not work I could call and reschedule. I did call and set up a AM time so that I would be there to put my pet inside while they sprayed my trees. When I had not heard from them at about 11:15 AM I called and was told they would be there within the hour. When they did not show up again I called again. I told the office person that this was my first experience with Senske and it was not a good one and was told that my expectations were to high and that the driver could use his discretion as to when he could get there because it was not a Confirmed appointment. I said it most certainly was but apparently not it was not with them. Still wanting it done but now having to go in to work I arranged for another family member to be wait because they again said the driver with be there shortly again a lie and finally told they would be there around 5PM for my AM appointment. I canceled my service and wonder how they stay in business making excuses and being dishonest. I will never use them and recommend others to stay clear. read more

ONLY ONE STAR BECAUSE NO STAR IS NOT AVAILABLE. This is the WORST customer service I have experienced from a company in along time. It started with a bid from an employee who no longer works for them, to never being scheduled for lawn care. They said this would be "the best your yard will ever look." I was sold lawn service was once a month, but they have only been here 3 times this year. A complete lack of communication within their organization, including a supervisor never calling back for complaints. After the run around and a mess with the maintenance department fixing my irrigation issue, they "begged" me to stay on and offered me a free monthly service, (never saw it). They said they would do an insect service, the guy shows up, sprays front of house and leaves. Never finished the job, hence the continuing insect problem. They come back for another treatment, and the guy says " my name was on the last job, but I've never been here before." So I call again because they haven't come back for lawn service, and to cancel my service, but they promised a supervisor would call me right back. That was Monday morning, this is Thursday. Then the guy shows up to spray my lawn, and says how terrible it looks because of the weeds, but he can't treat the weeds. I asked him to leave, and called again. The operators don't understand the lack of communication either. Each employee that has come out states the problem about lack of communication and service. If I could give zero stars I would! I have never had worse customer service or treatment from anyone. I inquired about pricing via email and I guess the inside sales lady (Whitney Stout) assumed I agreed to services. Needless to say she sent someone out to service our property without any type of agreement or confirmation of one. For argument sake I was going to pay the fee for that service but the more I thought about it the more I thought no, it's the principal! Especially after the treatment I received! She was rude and completely unprofessional from the start of our correspondence, which was another reason I was compelled NOT to use them. She argued with me and insisted I agreed to services. If I had been treated a bit more kindly from the start things may have turned out differently. I understand that miscommunications happen, but when they do treat potential customers with a bit more respect and consideration. It goes a long way for you and the company you work for. I USED TO BE a senske customer. While I have little complaints about the application service, the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. We had an arrangement that they would call first to coordinate visits with me and that seldom happened and when it did, they could not show up on the time or day scheduled. Looking into it, the applicator personnel are nice people and trying hard, the office staff at HQ can never get it right and do not communicate. I finally said enough and left. read more

Last summer I called them out to work on my sprinklers, they screwed up my system and turned it from 4 stations to 3. This year they came out to fix my timer box that died. The first guy that came out had no idea what he was doing the second guy came and said he fixed it, but the next morning the sprinklers were still not working. So they came out again and he changed the box, but he never checked to make sure it worked before he left and again, still not working. They want to charge me AGAIN, to fix something that was never properly fixed in the first place. I will never go to this company again! read more

Pretty much the same issue as the two other bad reviews. Had an appointment at 10am to have the inside and outside of the house sprayed for insects. Waited until 11 and no one had showed up yet. I called and they said they couldn't reach the technician but left a message. Another hour later got a call from the technician who wanted to reschedule because she claimed I wasn't listed on her schedule for a 10am appointment. I told her I absolutely could not reschedule and she agreed to come right then. Finally, she arrived at 12:30, stayed for maybe 10 minutes and did the bare minimum. Not at all what I was expecting. I used Senske for years. A few months ago a new guy came and sprayed while it was pouring rain. It rained all day! I told him he wasn't supposed to do that and he told me to call the office and I wouldn't be charged for it. I called and they said they would not charge me for it because they aren't supposed to spray when it's raining because it's pointless and useless. I started getting bills for NOTHING! I called and told them that I wasn't supposed to get a bill because when you spray during rain it doesn't work and I was told I wouldn't be charged. They told me unless I reschedule I have to pay. I said "you made the mistake, not me". Don't hold a gun to my head and tell me I have to use your service, because I don't. They said I have to pay. They are thief's! They are making me pay for a mistake their technician made. It's like going to the grocery store and NOT buying anything, yet they won't let you leave the store without paying a 77.00 bill for NOTHING! I will tell my friends, neighbors, family, etc., exactly what they did to me (it is all on tape and was recorded) and hope that you all cancel their service because they have stolen money from me by making me pay for nothing, also not being accountable for their mistake.
