I have been a patient at Princess Anne Family Medicine for 10-15 years. I was switched from Tracy…read moreLeonard to Tara Bedard. Uncertain if everyone there was hit in the head with a rock but...... My first appt. with Tara, she ended up being out sick or something and Tracy Leonard filled in for her, 6 months later (next appt.), I get a call and was told she won't be around and they have to change the appt. The nurse told me I wouldn't be charged for the canceled visit (Really? I hope not....). A week later I get a call to make sure I'm prepared for my televisit? I told the nurse "You and I spoke last week, you canceled the appt. and moved my lab and visit appt. Silence....."Oh......OK". Then my visit rolls around (did my labs previous to the visit). I usually get the call before the televisit, but no. I called the office....voice mail, three times. Received no follow-up, nothing. My records were alo requested. The person requesting them, had to repeatedly make the request due to no response. I called them and Tara Bedard's nurse must've been hit in the head again with the rock from before! It took them forever to finally send the records off. The nurse actually asked me how she should send them? I asked if she was given instructions DUH! I already found a new PCP. Having a few chronic health conditions, I try to surround myself with good, competent medical providers. Princess Anne Family Practice couldn't find water if they fell out of a boat. Stupidity and ignorance doesn't fly in my book when it comes to my health.

This practice has demonstrated a persistent and dangerous failure in medication management…read moreinvolving my child's controlled prescription. For multiple consecutive months, the provider has submitted the prescription incorrectly, directly resulting in my child being forced to go without a medically necessary medication. These are provider errors, not pharmacy issues. The most concerning aspect is the lack of urgency and accountability once these errors are identified. Corrections routinely take days, despite the well-known regulatory restrictions and clinical importance surrounding controlled substances. Repeatedly depriving a pediatric patient of essential medication due to preventable errors reflects a serious breach of the standard of care. This is not an administrative inconvenience -- it is a patient safety issue with real clinical consequences. This pattern rises well beyond isolated mistakes and warrants immediate internal review, provider oversight, and corrective action. Parents should not have to repeatedly intervene to prevent lapses in care.

This practice was recommended to me by a mom friend with three littles. I was easily able to make…read morean appointment for my newborn for the following day from the hospital after she was born. I wasn't especially impressed with the check-in nurse who was pretty rough with our 2-day old newborn while measuring her and taking her temperature. I suppose she sees so many newbies that it's no big deal to her, but our baby was very upset by the rectal exam and measurement and it pulled my heartstrings. She didn't try to console her or talk to her - just shoved it in, let her cry and pee on the table, and waited 30 seconds with no interaction while she was visibly horribly upset. Oh, new moms! We waited for quite a while for the doctor (probably 20 minutes or more) while our undressed daughter laid on their table (we covered her and played with her) but once Dr. Dison came in we were more impressed with him. He's warm and friendly and was very gentle with our girl and took great time with us to answer all our questions and provide more info on what we needed to do in the coming two weeks until they see her again. The following day, I called to speak to a nurse about one of her ears and left a message - they called back within 2 hours and I was able to make an appointment to have her seen in two days. They have two locations - the other is at Concert drive at Princess Anne near the amphitheater. I'm mindful of the reviews here and will keep an eye on how this goes long-term... will updates as needed. -Update - Same nurse, still not impressed when visited Concert Drive and was less impressed with the doctor. I wasn't given any real answer on her ear and was told she might have a tongue tie and send to "plastics" to have both looked at. I feel that I wasted 2 days waiting and wasted the office visit as well and the money. We're actually looking elsewhere closer to our home. It's not worth the drive and the nurse really did it for us.
