We live in Somerset, trying to reply to a Violation Letter with No Reply. I have called but Nickie states I have not spoken to you before ( i spoke to her 2 times today about 20 minutes apart, Shes very busy so Hold please ) I left a call back number but they call and when I pick up they hang up. I have been a resident here since the beginning 2002, Sentry has always been the same, Horrible to deal with but quick to send out the Violations. Our Violation is to Trim Branches over the Sidewalk, we have contracted the Landscaper who Provides the Landscaping to the HOA. Hopefully Someone wiill read this and Reply or Not.....as usual. many years ago we fired Sentry from this community, might be time to get Bids from Other Management Companies. I wish I could submit a negative 5 stars, the organization does not care about the residents it supposedly manages. Try reaching Richard Drake, he will call you back from a blocked number and he will not leave a voicemail. I offered to meet him at his office and he flat out refused my invite. I even offered to pick up the President of my association and we will both meet with him and adamantly refused. What is he/Sentry afraid of? Horrible organization! I am a Board member of my HOA and even I found it extremely difficult to get responses from either our community manager or the Divisional President. Due to the lack of support to our residents and the HOA Board we changed management companies this year. Despite receiving over 60 days notice of the handover, Sentry is still fumbling through passing our HOA's records to the new management company. In addition, Sentry did not take action to ensure that our residents would not be charged by them after the official changeover resulting in multiple residents now wondering how they will be reimbursed for the incorrect charges. Bottom line - find a different management company to use. read more

I am a renter, Sentry manages the HOA of the community where I live. I have lived in this neighborhood a little over a year. We have received several HOA violation notices, yard looks distressed (this one was sent before we even rented the house, palm frond too lone (that one was pretty amusing.. we do trim them, sidewalk/driving needing pressure washed, weeds in yard, a utility trailer on side of house..which you can barely see. Yet, most of my neighbors (who are owners) have ALL of these violations & more. They have broken down cars, trailers In front & side yard, trash everywhere for the past year we have been here. Yet, they never have to correct. While we get threatened with fines & lawsuit. What is point if of HOA & mgmt if they never enforce?! I'd love to not have to look at broken down cars & trash. Feels like we are being discriminated bc we are renters. read more

These guys are so inept, and they use the lack of FL legislation to scare little old ladies into paying fees and Liens. I'm a soldier taking care of my mom's business remotely. She has high BP and gets harassment notices from them regularly even though they dropped the ball. We don't skip out of our bills, but when they send you one 4 months late and then say it's our fault??.....I have written proof that they're inept. I even got a lawyer and their VP told her ot pound sand. As soon as I get back from Korea I'm moving my mom away from these thieves! PS: Incidentally, if you've had dealings with these yahoos, I'm looking for people for a possible lawsuit against them, including the guy that's the HOA president and the VP that told my lawyer they don't care about the Soldiers and Sailors Relief Act (a federal statute)!!! read more

Without a doubt this company has to have the best record for the worst management company in Florida. Where to begin.....I have been trying to get a remote programed for our community gate for over a year. If you call no one ever answers the phone so you have to email, and GOOD LUCK if you get a response in return. For over a year I've gotten nothing but excuses and the run around on why I have to use the damn keypad through COVID and the rain, after paying $30 for this keychain ornament because that's all it is at this point. Thankfully, OUR GATE WAS BROKEN FOR OVER A MONTH where I didn't need the key pad to get in. I can't get my issue resolved but you have enough time to ride around the neighborhood and hand out letters to people for violations that didn't even occur. Not sure if you managed to come to our neighborhood on the wrong day....wouldn't be surprised but if the cans are at the end of the sidewalk it's because its TRASH DAY not because the whole community leaves their cans at the street corner. Good thing I have a camera to show ON TRASH DAY the can getting taken out and put back away. I don't need you to be a perfect management company. Hell I don't even need you to be great. Just be good!!! And before you comment under my damn post about how customer service is your priority or your sorry you dropped the ball, RESPOND TO MY EMAIL ABOUT FIXING MY PROBLEM AND THEN FIX IT. I'm trying to save you all face by not posting your BS excuses from last year and scratching just the surface of your piss poor performance as a management company. Please fix the issues. read more

These people are CRIMINAL, period! "Paint the ENTIRE house???" One of my best friends lives in Clermont and they live in a very decent, well maintained house. These crooks have been sending them THREATENING letters, relentlessly telling them to paint their house. Paint where?? Who in their right mind just wakes up in the morning and starts threatening home owners to "paint their houses" ???? In most places, i have seen HOA send polite notification to home owners to paint their houses, but they usually "specify" where the house needs painting or re-touching, and especially newer houses. But these crooks don't care about none of that, they just send dumb letters to home owners, randomly, after their stupid "inspection" threatening action if you don't follow their commands. Seriously, how can you tell someone to just "paint the whole house" out of No where??? Sentry Management, you should be ASHAMED of yourself..... To my fellow neighbors, is there anything anyone can do to remove themselves from these crooked HOA or at least switch to a different association? These people are so disgusting. read more

I usually do not leave comments but this time I have to. I have been dealing with this company for years and when there is a problem they are the worst to deal with. Claire is in charge of our association and she is not helpful at all. The only time that she returns a phone call is when you go to her supervisor. I should not have to do that. I have been trying to get an issue taken care of for 2 months now, still no resolution. I agree with The B, "expect the worst" because that is what you are going to get. read more

We live in a development managed by Sentry. We have lived here for 5 months. For 5 months we have been trying to get a pool key to our neighborhood pool. Every single time I ask, "when is our key going to be ready?" I get the same excuse, "the computer is off line." For 5 months? The summer is almost over and we cannot use the pool. They tell us to wait until someone in the neighborhood is swimming and ask them to let us in! We don't get return phone calls after numerous messages. It's awful! So much for the HOA fee's going to good use! read more

Although I am aware it is not fair to judge the whole management team as a whole, I must say the new Community Association Manager for my community is very inept for her position. What a lack of professionalism! I have been trying to communicate with this lady for over 2wks, gone to the office in person, but of course, no one is there (3 different occasions) to then be treated like dirt, due to me being a tenant, not an owner. Mind you, I have no problem following rules and regulations nor do I take issue with her not being able to assist me as I am a "simple tenant & not owner" as she kindly reiterated numerouse times. Nevertheless, the lady is very difficult, very unprofessional and unethical. She speaks over you on the phone, laughs at the residents situations and is barely ever available. Today I got lucky but not so lucky! My experience with Sentry Management or should I say, with this specific individual makes me feel disgusted. I am at awe with the treatment I have received today. Quit frankly, as crazy as this sounds, I see I am not the only one feeling the animosity and lack of professionalism we will be receiving from this new HOA. Bass Lake, Lord help us all! read more
