I visited this establishment on Sunday 4/20/25 in search of only one item, Thai Basil, to accompany my homemade Pho Ga. My young companions and I did end up browsing the aisles to see what products the store offers. I must admit the cleanliness of the store was definitely a positive. The aisles and shelves are very organized and things are grouped in such a manner that it makes items easier to locate. Although they did have Thai Basil in stock, it was old and of poor quality so I did not purchase it. Quite a bit of the produce was not in the best shape. I did however purchase a non-produce item. The staff member at the cash register was very kind, interacted with genuine consideration of the young children whom were with me, answering several of their questions. He then offered them both a Pocky snack free of charge for both of them, they were ecstatic! If I am in the area and have need of non-produce items, then I will return to this establishment. read more

We were on the way through the shopping plaza and I wanted to stop in. They have such a great selection of frozen dumplings, egg rolls, bao buns. Condiments I've never seen before , mochi , ice cream. Fish balls (not too sure about trying those simply because I'm not a fish fan). They also have a tank with HUGE crabs. I will say this I'm born and raised in New York and spent a lot of time in China Town and I'm accustomed to the smell of fish. So if you're not you may be surprised when you walk in. I was stoked to be able to find king trumpet and Snow White/seafood mushrooms that I needed for a particular dish, The new owners were there to check us out; they were very friendly and answered any questions I had. This is a Korean market. It does have somewhat of a general Asian selection, but leans heavily towards Korean ingredients. If you like seaweed, mushrooms, and sesame oil, this is probably a good thing. I did, however, find a lot of things that could be vegetarian but aren't (like mushroom soup for example), and a lot of very high-salt, high-carb indulgences, which is also typical of Korean food. They do have some fresh vegetables and baked goods as well as a lot of frozen stuff and noodles. It was a cleaner, better shopping experience than some of the other Asian markets in town. read more

Been going here for years. It's a Korean grocery store with kimchi, prepared Korean side dishes, ramyeon (ramen), gochujang, and other Korean staples. They also have some produce usually Korean radish, napa cabbage, ginger. All for a good price. If you need other basic Asian grocery items you can check here as well. The owners are friendly. I think this is one of the best markets in town and I would buy everything here if I wasn't vegan (I love me some vegan cheese XD). It is always clean, their produce is fresh, the selection is well thought out organized and reasonably priced, and the owners are kind helpful people. I have been to a lot of IFSs (not just in town) and the owners at Seoul have their ordering and rotating down to an art. I have never in my 10+ years shopping seen anything rotting or expired or off or have a sticky unknown substance on the packaging and I used to go basically weekly. Also other stores might be bigger or have more options but this is the only place with everything I need for my average Asian recipes. They are Korea oriented but honestly that's only if you buy like prepackaged foods and stuff. Like at the ingredient level there is a surprising amount of selection from a wide variety of food cultures for such a small space. You can tell they cater to people who cook as well as to people who just want to make some tteok-bokki as fast as possible. They even sometimes have some really special ingredients that other stores don't typically carry like green shiso leaves (they're SO hard to find!), umeboshi, natto, and a dope mushroom selection. And it's all so reasonably priced! Also the owners. They are so nice! I want to give them my money if that makes sense. Like they are so helpful if you have a recipe or store stock question. As many of your might drive pass this store and not even know it exists, this little store hides a lot of great flavor and culture. It is located a nested between Sam's club and that big strip joint across from McDonald's on New Circle Road. After living in Philippines for a few years, there is just something about little hole in the wall Asian Markets that I love. They carry many of the same products that I have grown accustom to cooking with that you just can not find in Kroger or Wal-Mart. They import most of their stock from Asia. So you may not be able to tell what you are buying unless you ask. They carry a large variety of fresh produce and canned veggies accustomed to Asian cuisine. I normally stock of on dried taro leaves, bean sprouts, lemon grass, and Asian sauces here. This market also carry boba (tapioca pearls) and thai tea here so I can make "Bubble Tea" at home. I am so addicted to that stuff. YUMM! I also pick up my Asian candies I have a sweet tooth for like Hi-Chew or MyChew in Manilla (aka Asian Starbursts if you will) and ginger candies. The owners are both super friendly and helpful. They remember me every time I go in here. The first couple of times I came in here, they kind of held my hand as I shopped for the ingredients to make Pancit Canton and Laing. But now, I go in there and shop like a Champ. When I am checking out I stock up on my Green Tea Mochi and get a Melon Pop to go. The melon pops are taste like ice cream and a honey dew melon had a baby. So good. This is my go-to place for Korean groceries in Lexington. Great selection of all basic needs--kimchi, produce, seasonings, and frozen meats. The cashier is helpful and very kind. OMG These are the BEST people ever! My husband and bought a half a gallon of kimchee here, got it home and it tasted, well, not like kimchee. I don't know what was wrong with it, but it was some kind of premade stuff that gets shipped in I guess. Anyway, we brought it back to the store thinking the lady would refuse us a refund because we did have the receipt, but she was BEYOND NICE! This lady went out of her way to help us, and even replaced our two jars with a humongous jar of delicious kimchee, free of charge! From now on, this is the only asian market I will shop at!
