With so many sales people in this store, you would think that they would stop conversing with one another when customers walk in. They don't. I asked where a certain perfume was, which was fine. They pointed and told me where to go. however , the shelves were quite empty. What I was looking for was not there. So ,I stood around for about 10 minutes or more looking for someone to ask a question ; finally, a lovely associate with long dark black hair came up to me and said, how can I help you? What are you looking for?. she was the only one and she did a great job. This is quite common for the Sephora in Augusta, Georgia. I guess they have to draw from the local area to get sales people. I sent my husband there to buy a new cologne for himself. I told him to ask for a sample before buying so that he can wear it a day before purchasing a bottle. Turns out they don't do that anymore which is fine. The problem was that the sales associate treated him like he was trying to get free stuff. Buyers Beware: The two stars for this location is mostly for their customer service because as far as merchandise goes it's the same as every other Sephora out there. My wife bought me the men's cologne sample pack, at the end of which you pick your favorite cologne, and you get a bottle of the one you choose. Most of the colognes smelled pretty good, the spice bomb stunk so bad that when I sprayed it on my shirt I immediately took my shirt off and threw it in the trash, didn't even try washing it first, just threw it away. But the Invictus was amazing so that's the one I chose. When I went to get my bottle of Invictus Aqua I was informed they don't carry that cologne. So they sold a sample pack full of lies and empty promises. I asked if I could get just the standard Invictus instead since they don't carry the one in the sample pack. The manager said she'd find out and let me know. She did not let me know. I called once a week for over three months asking and was given the shoulder shrug. Finally after a few months I threw a fit and they finally acquiesced. So if you go to this location, think carefully before making a deal with them, and if you do, make sure to have some lawyer talk ready for when they don't hold up their end. Something to the effect of, "I'm not asking for an upgrade, I'm merely asking for you to make a dispensation due to the fact that you can't fulfill the obligation you placed upon yourself when entering into the transactional agreement." Nice store, Brandy is a very helpful staff member. Some of the other staff members are not. I shop here very often and I am a VIB here. The girls at the register are rude, condescending, unprofessional and incompetent. On several occasions. I was taken back because the floor staff is super friendly and proficient in all things to do with beauty, in stark contrast to the register staff. I find it unfortunate that the guests have to be mistreated upon checkout. Leaving us with a sour feeling that lingers after you leave. I love to go in this store and look, try and ask questions about products then purchase ON LINE where my checkout experience is filled with all the beauty insider perks that the incompetent checkout staff can not offer me. read more

This Sephora location is located inside the Augusta mall, and is your typical Sephora. I don't find anything particularly special about it - other than it's oftentimes quite busy. I can generally find whatever I'm looking for with relative ease and don't generally need assistance. The service is normally acceptable - nothing to write home about. Sometimes I've walked in and gotten really no assistance; other times, I've been asked multiple times if I need help. Overall, I'm not overly impressed with this location - they also stopped carrying my favorite perfume (Juicy Couture), which is a bummer. read more

I love Sephora! I can get lost in a store and spend hours browsing. I usually order online to prevent this from happening. Great brand/product selections. Today I ran in the store to get a few things before leaving town. I was in there a solid 10 minutes and no one asked if they could help me. When I was ready to check out I approached the counter and finally spoke to the associate, about which register I should use. She was friendly enough, but overall to have 4-5 employees in a store and none of them speak to a customer? Come on. This never happens in NYC or Atlanta when I visit a Sephora. read more

I love Sephora. The product line is extensive. The associates knowledgeable and friendly. Mister and I both love cologne. I love that they will make a sample of colognes to take with you. I can't express enough how many times I've fallen in love with a scent only to find that the dry down sucks or the fragrance dies quickly. The samples allow me try them before I buy them. Sephora has the reputation of being a shop that caters primarily to female clientele. But believe it or not, they have a huge section for men in the store. They've got an excellent selection of the finest colognes and the staff is generally very helpful in helping you find what you're looking for. This is definitely my go-to shop if I need anything face care related. This shop has tester bottles for nearly every face care product, so you know exactly what you're getting when you buy it. As a man I'm always apprehensive to admit that I'm a Cliniquoholic. I buy everything Clinique from the face wash, the liquid soap cleanser, the exfoliating scrub, the scruffing lotion, the base lotion, the deep moisturizing lotion, even all the way to the anti-aging antioxidant lotion. I am serious about skin care!!! Dudes these days for some reason feel that hygiene isn't a worthy discipline, and not manly to adhere to. I have always experienced good customer service at this location, however I was really disappointed this time around. I was looking for some suggestions for new lipstick since I am not really a lipstick girl. Anyway the guy just showed me the Nars products and just walked off... Sephora's service is better than that. In general, this store is very nice, but more cluttered than the other stores I have frequented in Atlanta. They carry the same products but I feel that they don't really change out their samples... they look kinda gross if you ask me. Absolutely horrible experience! The girl knew nothing about makeup. My 12 year old knows more about makeup application. However I ignored that and became anointed when ms hammet kept trying to talk me into products that didn't even match my skin type. Then!! When I go to pay she trying to talk me into paying cash for 10 minutes even though I don't even carry cash she informs me there is an atm close by. I asked her why and she said she can pay with her discount. She said it would save me any money but I don't understand this at all. Who's she scamming!!!?? His girl is seriously up to no good. Wow this is the worst location I've ever been to with customer service. Upon walking in no one wants to help you and the people are rude here. Came in today 9/11/2018 and a couple of employees was standing on the floor talking (which there was no other employees on the floor) I walked up to one and before I could get a word out she says "I'm on break" and walks off... ummm cool if your on break but I've worked in customer service my whole life and that was not the way to handle it she could of got someone to help me or idk how about just let me get my question out and point me in the right direction. The people at the door greeted me wonderfully, but when I began browsing the selections this old, black lady who worked there was just watching me from around the corner. She didn't even ask us if we needed any help, was slow with the register, and forgot to give me my product bought. We were visiting for Christmas and our daughter attempted to use an IT cosmetics eyebrow product while dressing for an evening event. Unfortunately as she opened the brand new applicator and eyebrow color product literally fell out and down the hotel drain epic fail....since our daughter is loyal Sephora customer easily verifiable account we went to Augusta Sephora for replacement of defective product. She was treated very rudely almost accusatory by we believe a manager who actually asked if she had removed product from the applicator? Guess they must have sketchy local clients not sure. She begrudgingly replaced product "just this one time ". Sephora has now lost two customers due to poor attitude. Maybe that explains why on the day after Christmas at 10 am they had zero other customers..! read more

Not a bad Sephora in the scheme of things. It is a good size and the employees are nice. However, I went it to try some foundation and could have probably done a better job color matching myself. It is hard to match colors inside though, and their return policy is wonderful, so this would hardly stop me from shopping here! The only thing I will warn people about, is when they have a particular line that has their reps there, be careful! they are much more pushy than normal Sephora sales people and they kind of drive me nuts. I have only experienced the pushiness that this Sephora, not at others I have shopped at. And, again, not with the normal sales people, just the line reps. read more

I'm not sure what has happened to Sephora's customer service. I will start at the beginning. I placed a order on http://sephora.com December 3 to take advantage of their 20 off 75 sale for being a VIB member. So I'm thinking this order will arrive quickly like other orders I placed. To my dismay, they used USPS as their carrier. It is now December 24 and I still haven't received the package. The last time the package was scanned was over a week ago in Atlanta which is two hours away from my home. I have tried on multiple occasions to remedy the situation. I have been in contact with well over Half a dozen customer reps. The first Sephora rep told me if the order is not here by December 22 to come back and they will issue a re-shipment or refund. OK easy enough. I come back on the 22nd talk to another rep and another rep told me to wait till the 24th, knowing that the previous rep told me the 22nd! So I come back on the 24th, this rep tells me to wait closer to the end of the day! So I wait I speak to another rep who says that They won't give me a refund or a re-shipment at all because the items are still in transit keep in mind this item was ordered three weeks ago and hasn't been seen or heard from or scan in over a week. I am not sure how a company can get away with such blatant lying. Which is what occurred. Telling a customer one thing, they're not sticking to your word is lying plain and simple. read more
