The Sephora in Coconut Creek is convenient, but my experience with customer service has been consistently disappointing. The store is clean; unfortunately, the attitude and level of assistance from both management and some regular employees left much to be desired. When I had questions or needed help finding products, I felt as though I was inconveniencing the staff rather than receiving customer service. Several employees came across as unfriendly, dismissive, and uninterested in helping customers. Sephora is known for providing a welcoming beauty experience, but this particular location falls short in that area. I hope management takes customer feedback seriously and invests in improving employee training and customer service standards because the store itself has great potential. Based on my experience, I would shop here only if I know exactly what I need and do not need any help. read more

This Sephora is in a great location- coconut creek promenade. Perfect mix of outdoor shopping, great atmosphere and restaurants all together. However, this particular Sephora location has fallen short of their customer service. I was reluctant to write a review, but when I saw their star rating, and read a few of the others, I recognize I was not alone in my experience. The customer service is inexperienced, not aware of simple questions (I.e. a promotion advertised throughout the store and not knowing about it), and also rude in their interactions with guest. It's honestly strange, and my only experience has been at this particular location. They could use improvement on that front. I also noticed items I would have liked to purchase while in store, were unavailable (amika hair care for example), thus just making it less ideal to go in person. The store is also a bit smaller (or so it feels) as it is jam packed or at least feels so when walking around (not sure if this is just adding on top of an already seemingly disappointing visit or if that's an experience for others too). Overall, I wouldn't return here for the intention of shopping at Sephora, I'll stick to online or another location, unless I'm with friends for dinner at promenade and we wander in together. read more

I visited this Sephora location with my younger sister and a small group of her friends for her birthday. They are respectful teenagers, and we were simply there to shop -- which we did. Unfortunately, our interaction with an employee named Lilian felt unwelcoming. She made a few unnecessary and somewhat sarcastic comments that made us uncomfortable. I also noticed that she repeatedly looked at the teenagers in a judgmental way throughout our visit. While they may not have paid much attention, both my sister and I found it noticeable and uncomfortable, especially since they were not doing anything wrong. Teenagers express themselves in different ways, including how they dress, and that should not affect how they are treated. Everyone deserves to feel welcome regardless of their appearance. I'm sharing this feedback in hopes of a more respectful and inclusive experience for future customers. read more

Yes, I admit it. I probably spend way to much on make-up, skin, and hair care. Lately, Sephora has lots of competition, but I still find it easy for online shopping. I rarely go to the stores because in this area, most of the locations were in malls, but that seems to be changing. This location is at the Promenade at Coconut Creek. During the day, parking on the street was easy. I imagine that at other times, you might have to use one of the plaza's garages. The store had all the luxury brands that Sephora is known for. There seemed to be plenty of salespeople willing to help. I was looking for a product and the makeup artist took her time trying a few different brands on me. My original purpose in going to the store had been to return some items. The returns were taken without any issue. Sephora will take a return even if the product has been opened and tried. Good shopping experience but honestly, I can't wait until the new Davie Sephora location opens this week! read more

I had to book this location which was super far away from my house because all the other locations were booked! I arrived super late because I got lost..I called for directions and the staff that answered was not very helpful. She told me that they are located next to a restaurant, but doesn't know the name and was basically clueless to provide directions! When I finally arrived I was greeted and immediately told that I was late, but they would do their best to help! Overall my makeup was flawless!!! Cathy did a wonderful job and was very patient! Saw the awesome Monika today and got an update on my makeup. I tried the Sephora brand for the first time and really liked it. The store brand is also super affordable. It costs what you pay in the drugstore but you can get a free consultation and tutorial at Sephora. If you open a store card it is 15 percent off on your first purchase. read more

I booked an appointment for a 60 minute full face for my engagement party. I called them to let them know it was for my engagement party and to communicate I needed it to be on time. Less than 3 days before my party they call me and cancel on me. I asked them if there is anything they could do find another artist, anything, and they said no. I was absolutely devastated. Thankfully the Sephora locations in Boca Raton were much more accommodating. But either way it's a huge set back. Furthermore, the first time I called they were extremely rude and told me that they'd be on time if my look was simple and now this. I think the worst part is the lack of empathy and effort from this staff. I would never ever go here / steer clear if you have a big event they do not care!! read more

I'm in the Promenade plaza quite often and I was looking forward to having some extra time to check the store out, unfortunately after about fifteen minutes I left feeling quite disappointed. I'm not a "mall person" but for my future Sephora trips I will go to Boca Town Center like I usually do. I'm not thrilled with that store either but it's a much nicer store and they have a much larger selection of beauty products. This store is smaller so they don't have the room to carry all the products that the other stores carry. The sales associates were a little flustered since they were short handed. I waited a solid ten minutes for my turn for someone to help me. She did answer my question but she didn't offer me any other options or make any suggestions. She answered my question and then moved on to the next customer who was waiting for her turn. For the first time in my life I left a Sephora store without buying a thing, not even a lipstick. I am in the Promenade all the time so at some point I will pop in again. Hopefully next time I will actually buy something. If you get frustrated shopping in the store just remember they are near Starbucks so you can go grab a coffee and chill out. read more

Sephora continually proves to be the best cosmetic and beauty store... and my last service visit confirmed it yet again. I booked a Full Face makeup service appointment for my professional headshots and was THRILLED with the results. After researching artist recommendations, I booked my appointment with Monica. So glad I did! She was charismatic, knowledgable, attentive, professional, and a joy to talk to. One of my favorite things about Sephora is that they are not married to one product. The beauticians have the freedom to choose the best product for the client, regardless of which brand. I was so in love with the products she used that I purchased the Nars foundation, Fresh no-rinse cleanser, and Lord Jones moisturizer. I've been using them every day since and love the quality and luxuriousness of each one. I am a big fan of learning from my artist, so I was thrilled when Monica gave me tips on makeup application, exfoliation, and skincare throughout the service. My only suggestion for the Coconut Creek store is to start carrying Lady Gaga's brand, Haus Labs. When I called to ask if they carried Haus Labs products prior to my appointment, they informed me that their store does not yet sell the line yet. So.... I brought all of my Haus Labs products with me to the service appointment! Monica and I both loved the results of the Haus Labs' gel-powder highlighter, pigment paint, and lip oil. They really accentuated the final look. All in all, I am very impressed with the quality and expertise that I received during my most recent visit. I will definitely be booking Monica to do my makeup for my next event! read more

I went in to try some new fragrances that I read up on. It's a bit annoying that you can't smell fragrances on your own so a associate has to give you samples. I waited around a bit for assistance because the store was busy. Once I got to smell a few fragrances on my list I bought a few of my faves. read more

Great location! Workers were very helpful and I was greeted upon walking in. I was constantly asked if I needed assistance by multiple people which I appreciated. The only thing I didn't like was that the item that was looking for wasn't on the floor. I opened my app and approached a worker that I assuming was the store manager and told her that app shows that they have what I'm looking for. She advised that she had them in the back. Like why? I'm glad I inquired about it because I was about to leave and go search somewhere else; which I do not live in that area at all! I live down by MIA airport. Everytime I walk into this Sephora, I realize why I usually make the trip to boca raton town center store. The staff is usually clustered in one corner of the store or they're mostly in the back rooms. The atmosphere is very negative and unfriendly. The staff tries so hard to be fake nice only so they can keep an eye on you Incase you're trying to shoplift. The beauty advisors are more like security guards, they are not interested in selling or helping at all. They're just too caught up in making sure they're no thefts that they neglect the actual customer. I've heard way too many stories from my friends complaining about this same issue. Every Sephora I've been to manages to help the customer by giving beauty advice to the best of their knowledge while keeping an eye on the floor. The other stores manage to do all that while respecting their customer and their space to explore the store. It's just sad that people I know have to make a trip to another Sephora store to avoid such negative atmosphere. I feel so strongly about this because I love Sephora and I shop there all the time! This store is way too brand new to have these kind of issues! I can't wait for when the management and staff changes so I can go back to this store again since it's so close to my house! Till then I'll be going to Sephora at boca town center which is always a pleasant experience. read more

I've been shopping at Sephora since 2001. This one is pretty good sized. They carry NARS, Urban Decay, Laura Mercier, IT cosmetics, Fenty, Clinique, Lancôme has a bunch of others. They of course have skin care, fragrance and hair care. Pretty good selection though I did have a little bit of a problem locating some items however the employees were great with helping me find what I needed. I took off a star because the store has items stocked in a odd war. IT cosmetics are to the right when you walk in the store however the concealer (IT brand) is kept in the back of the store. Same with some other brands. I don't really want to go on a scavenger hunt when I shop. Parking at the Promanade is what it is...during the week it's ok. On weekends not so great. read more

I was in the promenade grabbing lunch and I needed to get more spf moisturizer so I decided to run in really quickly just to get one. I am not sure if it's because of COVID or maybe I came in at a bad time previously BUT I was not crowded by an employee like the last time and I was able to grab what I needed quickly without any up selling. I have shopped at Sephora and been a Rouge member for years and I am appalled by the reviews I am reading. Prior to this store opening, I had shopped at the Boca store and always left disappointed. The lighting in the Boca Sephora was horrible and when I walked outside my foundation color was always off, which meant I would need to come back to do a return. I was thrilled when the Coconut Creek store opened, especially because of the natural lighting from their location. Over the past few months, I have been changing my skincare routine to "clean" products. It started with a beauty bar reservation with Beverlee. She took the time to assess my current skincare routine and understand my needs and what I was looking to chance. She was fantastic and left my face feeling incredible after the facial. My next experience was with Shari, in skincare, and she has been fantastic. She has taken the time to hear my concerns, provide samples, welcomes me back and remembers my concerns and asked how each product worked. If something didn't work, she provides other suggestions and takes all the time needed to make me feel heard and comfortable. As a long-time Sephora customer, I feel like this Sephora has been graded unfairly, as they are not in a major mall/shopping center and don't carry the inventory that a store like Boca does. With that said, could every store improve customer service/experience? Yes - everyone can always do better. I left this review to encourage those who enjoy shopping at Sephora, but do not want to have to enter a mall to get their products, this is an incredible store! Clearly anyone who has shopped here with a negative experience has NEVER shopped at Ulta, because they are THE ABSOLUTE WORST!! read more

This new store has only open 2 days. On entry, I was immediately greeted and offered a basket... off to a good start. I made my way through the store seeing many staff members either helping other customers or adjusting the displays. I have several products I tend to look for / buy at Sephora so after my initial circle through I asked for direction. Sadly, I was told Bliss products are no longer carried by the company and the other brand had minimal inventory in this location. This all confirmed my observation that this is a smaller store. Everyone I encountered was very friendly and happy to offer assistance in this clean, brightly lit store. I definitely got the new business vibe and hope it continues. Happy Shopping! read more

Horrible service. I've frequent three times already with my partner. 1st occasion I was surprised by the skeleton crew available to attend clientele. I left because my partner was not attended and her questions where unanswered. 2nd time we visited, three employees where standing around talking amongst themselves and again neither myself or my partner where greeted as we enter. Now comes the 3rd and last time I visit this store. We came in to buy a product that we have already received a sample for in brickell (amazing service btw, I wrote a complimentary review on how exceptional the level of service was) and again no one attended us but since she knew what she wanted we didn't need anyone's help. I waited (I s**** you not) 5 minutes by the register and not one soul came to assist us. I went on the hunt for a cashier. I found one (I have never been spoken to in the manner this individual spoke to me) I approached her and pleasantly said: "good evening, I'm looking for a cashier, can you help me?" She opened her ditsy eyes wide open and sarcastically said "umm. I. Can. Help. You With. That" (for some odd reason she paused after every word in her sentence, a little racist in my opinion because I was Latino and obviously was profiled as such) I then mentioned to the cashier "my partner and I waited for 5 minutes and no one came " (not that big of a deal, reason why I said that was so that she didn't feel inconvenient by me). Her response was one of the most obnoxious responses I've ever heard. She literally smiled, opened up her ditsy eyes, again and with the same pause, said "Mhmmmm. I. Don't. Think. It's. Been 5. Minutes." And then had the audacity to sell my partner a mascara and a Sephora CC, talk about unethical, unconventional, sales practice, treat you like s**** and then cross-sell you on a product, lol. Anyhow, long story long, your visit to this store will be less than, mundane, and just utterly terrible. FYI: I didn't get the name of the cashier, if I did I would've definitely named her on here but my visit was tonight 08/07/2019 at 8:50PM. I have a really big issue with the whole Sephora/Sephora JCPenney not exchanging or returning each other's things. Sephora is Sephora! Period! There should be no issue of where you exchange things. I received a concealer as a GIFT and as a courtesy I had them look up the account of the person who gave it to me. Well that was a big mistake on my part, they wouldn't exchange it because the person got it at a JCPenney Sephora. The item I was trying to exchange is a SEPHORA BRAND item!!! It was an even exchange because the color is wrong for me. This store is literally across the street from my house and the JCPenney one is over 10 miles away & inside a mall that has horrible parking. Horrible way to treat a customer!!! I'm sure if I go back after Christmas and say it was a gift they will exchange it so what's the difference now???? I even emailed Sephora customer service about this and they were just as unhelpful. All they did was apologize. Like I said to them, your apology does NOTHING for me. They really need to revamp their policies & get it together!!!! read more

I went to Sephora on Thursday, the 12th, to pick up an online order. I told the associate that I did not have my pickup email with me, so she verified my purchase and identity, and I was able to pick up my item (a single body mist). I was out on my bicycle the following evening when the sky opened and began pouring rain and lightening. I ran into the store again to pick up the lip balm that I ordered online while in the store on the previous day (the 12th). I told a different associate that I again did not have anything with me due to the rainy circumstances. She insisted that she needed my pickup email per policy, so I asked to kindly speak with a manager. Someone approached me looking like a linebacker, did not identify herself, did not offer a simple greeting nor ask how I might be helped. I only received a dead stare. I asked whom she was, and apparently, she was Nicole, a store manager. I explained why I was there, and she denied my pickup without the purchase email. I was not asked for any verifying details despite my having told her that I am a long-time store VIB and that I have identification. This monstrous woman could care less and was happy to seek to cancel my order (although her sorely lacking competence prevented her from figuring out how to) once I informed her to do so since she REFUSED to release MY PRE-PAID PROPERTY!! This woman, a representative of Sephora, was only concerned with demonstrating to me that Sephora could CARE LESS about my loyal dollars over the years and that my future business is not wanted or needed. She was happy to indicate that A LIP BALM was enough to sever ties with a long-term, repeat business customer and to send me to the many other available beauty competitors!! I was SHOCKED that Sephora has this as a culture and customer service policy! In all of my years of doing business with them, I had never received such poor, abrasive service nor had I been aware of such a cold, insensitive culture. Patrons go into the store seeking to look and feel good. This horrific woman dismantled all of that! A truly lovely and sensitive service rep assisted me when I called in to voice my concerns, and she should be commended! I was ultimately offered a few points entitling me to free samples (not unlike what the store already provides to customers). What a shame. Now I know. read more
