After having my daughter I've struggled getting back into the swing of taking care of me, not just a tiny human. Having not invested much time in myself for nearly 4yrs, and hitting a new decade, I needed help finding makeup for mature skin that isn't heavy or cakey and a routine that isn't time consuming. My husband had bought me a gift card last Christmas and I figured I should use it before this Christmas. So, I decided to do a beauty lesson here, which is completely out of my comfort zone. During the initial conversation, I explained I would like to find a foundation that is lightweight amd wouldn't settle in the creases, specifically around my eyes, like my current foundation. I shared that techniques that would help me look refreshed, professional for work, and natural without having a hundred steps would be incredibly helpful because I have to get myself and my daughter ready every morning. The products used we're great... if I we're in my 20s again. The multistep, nearly 40 minute routine was fine...if I didn't have 2 people to get ready every morning by 6:30a. The final look was lovely...for someone else. Prior to even leaving the chair from the lesson, the multiple layers of liquid foundation, concealer and powder had begun to settle into ALL the areas I expressed a desire to conceal. I became incredibly self self-conscious. I decided to purchase a few of the products because I thought maybe I could use less of them and they would be what I was looking for, based on how the young lady described them. Then, I immediately went to my car and used my daughter's wipes to wipe everything off. It took almost 10 wipes to get through the layers! Feeling so defeated, I went to lunch with a friend then decided to go to another Sephora location to return what I purchased and ask another person for assistance. This turned out to be a blessing because Ciara at the Gahanna location to the time to help me find the perfect foundation and concealer, a light setting mist, the perfect gloss, and an under eye cream. She was amazing! I share all this to say, if you're in your 40s, or other mature decade, and you're wanting help navigating the multitudes of makeup on the market these days that will work for mature and aging skin, a beauty lesson is a waste of $90. Find a knowledgeable associate and work with them to find the things that work! It was a way better experience and I ended up with exactly what I was hoping to find. read more

I recently called to see if they had a couple of colognes and perfumes from Tom Ford that I was wanting to purchase for myself and as a gift for a friend since the app will say one thing and the store another, which is highly annoying. The girl who answered the phone was very rude and not helpful at all. Her attitude was total garbage! I ended up ordering the perfume on the app and my friend drove over to pick it up since she lived kinda close and it was for her, but she too said the girl was a total b*tch to her as well. Wow!!! I spend a lot of money at Sephora, but that might have to stop after dealing with this person. Train your employees better. If they are having a bad day they need to learn how to check that when they walk into work. It's called customer service for a reason. Smdh! read more

I love Sephora and have been going to their locations for a long time. However, I find that this particular location is packed no matter the time of day. I really wish they would move to a larger store. The demand is certainly there. I love the staff here: everyone is so helpful and willing to help, even when they are packed. A few times they have been out of stock of shades I needed, but they often doesn't last long. The check out line is prompt too! They have just got to figure out a better way to set up the space so it's not so crowded! It's a zoo in there; very over stimulating. read more

I just want to say that "Austin" is one of the best attendants I have ever come around in a Sephora and has an amazing personality that just makes you keep coming back for more. I had a lot of questions as my Lancôme brand switched up numbers for foundation and concealer & he took the time to help me match what I currently had that suited my skin and help me find my pop of color Matte lip sticks which made me jump for joy. The attentive to detail and even helping me jog my memory on a product I forgot which we figured out together made my day as my husband stood by and watched the interaction. I will be coming back for sure as I want more pop of color Matte lip sticks. He deserves more than employee of the month in my opinion. Thanks in advance. read more

This is a nice Sephora location. It seems to stay busy but staff is always there to greet you and are nice and helpful. I stopped in Saturday afternoon for a few things. It was busy and the line to checkout was long but it moved very quickly. The store was clean and in general they keep it nice and organized. read more

Getting one-on-one attention can be challenging in a busy and popular store like Sephora, but they manage to make it happen every time!!! Today I went in for a new foundation and ended up getting a custom full-face makeover where my makeup artist went through each piece step by step, walking me through how to recreate the look on my own. I loved getting to learn how to improve my process while getting to look beautiful in the process. Marissa is seriously one of the nicest and most chill people who will help you find products you'll love and make you look like a queen. I also worked with 3 other women in the store who helped me find everything I needed and also things I didn't know I needed! Highly recommend this location as they carry a lot of brands and you can park close by if you're lucky ! read more

I have shopped quite a bit at the Easton Sephora and have encountered less than motivated sales women. i have always purchased quite a bit from this store but all of a sudden I couldn't make any returns. During Covid, you had to guess at color shades since you couldn't use any testers so returns were inevitable. The Polaris store is set up much differently. The manager there assured me that I could still return any items that didn't work out. I wish they had better training on more mature skin. Whenever I ask about products with that in mind; I can tell they're just guessing and don't really know what's best. As a result, I now shop at Nordstroms for all my beauty products. They have a lot more experience working with mature skin and their customer service is beyond exceptional. I just got too frustrated with Sephora so I no longer shop there read more

Sephora Sephora (In my Shakira voice)! Let's face it. I visit you often because you have things, that for some reason, I feel like I just gotta have! This is mainly makeup products and usually very specific items that I know I can't find at Ulta or at a specialty shop like MAC. This location in particular is in the heart of Easton Town Center, outside closer to Macy's and the Apple store. It is almost always busy af. It doesn't matter the day, the time, or if the holidays are around or corner or not. It can be very frustrating moving around or really even looking for something because people are constantly bombarding you from every direction. Pro tip - try to avoid coming here on the weekends. I'm even guilty of leaving with nothing because I honestly just couldn't stand to be in there with so much going on. Loud music, colors, people, things, I feel like I'm spiraling! I also have to agree with some of the other reviews on this page. It's hard for me to shop in peace and enjoy myself because every five seconds, not only is another customer bumping into me but an associate is trying to lend me and a hand in some way. I was in there this past weekend and I swear I had 5 different people try to help me in the whole 10 minutes that I was in there. My sister and I were having fun picking out different shades for each other and we were totally fine on our own. Just let us liveeeee!! Now, as you likely already noticed, I do give this spot a solid three stars. One thing I really do like about Sephora is that as you buy, you collect points that you can then use to get free items. It's like every now and then you get a little surprise present! I also appreciate that Sephora allows you to get samples of products you've never tried. This is another reason why I'll swing by here instead of Ulta. Ulta doesn't let you sample anything and if I'm going to spend forty bucks on a foundation, I want to make sure I'm going to like it. Returns here are also hassle free. I'm a beauty insider member (free) so even if I loose my receipt, they can pull up the information they need in order to get it taken care of easily. Also, while I prefer to be left to shop on my own, everyone is really nice. I've never run into anyone being rude like others mentioned. Will I return? Yes. Will I be excited about it? Naaaaa. First reviewer, long time shopper. I really, really LOVE sephora, and makeup in general.... However, this location lacks SO much. I haven't really had a great experience since my first time here. The staff isn't very helpful, and quite rude at times. They act as if they really want to help you until you actually need help, or have real questions relating to the products. I'm a fan of this Sephora because unlike the others they don't try to push me when I come inside. I find when a sales associate pushes you it just does not work out. I knew exactly what I wanted and I got it. It was the La Vie Est Belle perfume. I know, now your picturing oh my she likes people hanging from strings like the commercial with Julia Roberts in a room with people being attached to strings. No, that is comical but the fragrance does smell really good and sweet. Plus I find when I put it on, it lasts throughout the day unlike some of the other fine fragrances I have. Sephora has plenty of good brands from make-up to hair styling products you will find it all. What's nice about it all being there is that they let you sample the products. I came in with someone recently and they gave her half the tube of Urban Decay as a sample. How neat is that? Ok, I may be over exaggerating a bit but come on guys. This store has everything you need from a special night out or just to look cleaned up and polished. Sephora will have it or if you really need just ask them and they will be happy to show you what they have available in the store. read more

This location is one of the worst Sephoras that I've shopped. They are sold out of everything all the time - bare shelves and messy testers. Every time I go to buy multiple items I come out empty handed. The experience is never pleasant - the staff is also very meh. I see there are mixed reviews, but I've had nothing but good experiences so far. I'm new to the world of Sephora. The gal who helped me on my very first visit was absolutely outstanding. Explained what I was looking for and she had a product for everything. Not just any product, THE product to make my dreams come true. For the first time in my life, my mascara doesn't budge. My eyeliner doesn't melt. My lipstick isn't dry. My powder doesn't settle into my fine lines. Yes, it was pricey, but I left completely happy. She set me up with my own beauty insider account and their app takes a lot of the guesswork out of figuring out what to buy. She also sent me home with samples so I didn't have to commit to buying a product that I was on the fence about. Much appreciated! I do wish they had a parking lot that was closer, but I'm willing to walk a couple of blocks. read more

This post is for Marissa- if you ever need to get your make up done for a special occasion or in my case need to learn makeup basics, marissa is amazing! I had to learn to do makeup for my friend's wedding and I was scheduled a mini makeover session for eyes and Marissa not only taught me how to apply eyeshadow beautifully but she also helped me with my eyebrows (my mom too). She was so generous with her knowledge and is a professional! I can speak from experience because I was helped by 3 other workers for mini makeovers and no one was as good as Marissa. I came in here yesterday morning to purchase a few items of makeup and was highly disappointed in the following and probing of an associate named Kim. The store was very slow and dead with little to no customers because of the ice/snow storm Columbus got slammed with Friday night but it was no excuse for an associate to continuously bug me. She even said it herself, " I know I'm harassing you, but there's no one in the store and I just want to see what items you got!" Ummmm, you are scary what is your problem?! A customer should never feel uncomfortable or cornered in a store where they are shopping. Some people shop as therapy or casualty and are not on a mission to do list needing assistance so that the associate can hit their sales quota for the day. A human is a human, relax. I've worked in retail in college as well as a MAC makeup artist for years. It's is disrespectful to treat customers like this because it can come off rude in so many ways. Boy did I get lucky today! I walked into Sephora and they were having a 15% off sale this weekend! I decided to pick up a few extra items since the sale was going on. It was the second time I've been in there within the past week. Different people have waited on me but they were both very nice and very helpful, as all of their associates always are. I love going in to Sephora! There are so many choices on every product you can ever imagine! If you are a member of Sephora's Insider Club, you can collect points and use them when YOU want to, and they don't expire at the end of the month like gas station points do. You can use your points for different items and different items are worth a certain number of points. You have your choice of the different items, or you can hold onto your points until there's something you want. Love how it works! Well gotta go. Do not schedule an appointment here! Poor customer service and staff that have no desire to work, lazy!!!!! I had recommended this location to a friend of mine that arrived from out of state for a wedding. Her appointment was scheduled for 11:00 am, she arrived at 11:10, they explained they would not take her because they have a 10 minute grace period and our booked, however she was within the grace period, keep in mind there was one staff member doing makeup and the stylist was sitting on a stool on her phone doing nothing! The salon was empty!!! The manager claimed she arrived at 11:11, impossible my friend called me at 11:11 to pick her up. The manager refused to honor the appointment, even with an empty salon. So unprofessional, go somewhere else!! So glad we did not waste our money here! read more

Sweetie loves this place, along with Ulta. They have the kinds of makeup she needs, and can't find most places. I don't think she needs any, and I almost choked on the prices here, but they do have a wide variety and apparently it's good stuff. Today, she actually took me to get stuff for me. She said I need some shave stuff and a face mask. I guess... If you saw me, you would not say I am metrosexual; I doubt you would even say I am well groomed, though I do shoot for that. Since we got married I have found myself places I would never have imagined going, and maybe I should be embarrassed or something but I really don't care. If she wants to go, I'll go along for the ride. We always have fun, making smartass comments and gasping at the prices, and we walk out with a few little things. Service was great. read more

Long time shopper of sephora, love the store in general and this is not a review based on the whole company but this store in particular... NO customer service! I was roaming the store for 1/2 hour trying to find someone to help me! Every time I approached someone they gave me attitude, said they were busy. Okay fine your busy, but could you find someone who is not? There were what looked like 5 associates gathered in a circle discussing something, completely ignoring anyone who needed help. Absolutely love my experience at Sephora. It was easy to navigate the store wasn't too crowded and I was able to obtain everything a girl could ever want. I made an appointment to have a face consultation and I was pleased with the outcome. Taylor was the bomb. These people are awesome. I was a jerk customer that came in five minutes before close but I really needed to restock eyeliner and eyeshadow primer. And one of the ladies there was gathering trash but still stopped to help me. And when I asked her the difference between felt tip eyeliner and brush eyeliner she gave me all the information I could ever need including how to clean out the brush tip. This store is the worst. It looks worse than a Big Lots in the sketchy part of town. Most of the displays are broken and the stock is missing. I cannot believe that regional management is allowing this to stay in business given the solid reputation of the brand. Customer service...where? Most of the girls here are sweet, laid back and helpful but recently had a bad experience where this older lady kept staring my friend and I down and attempting to slyly follow us around the store. My first run in with Sephora was on the Champs Elysees in Paris, where an absolute army of bilingual staff pointed me to a line of wonderful fragrance gifts for my wife (Kenzo line). Also sending me home with plenty of free samples and a better understanding of "la culture de parfum". When I saw that there were sephora stores back here in the states, I assumed (my mistake) that the level of service and selection would be equally as good. Let me tell you ... it's not. The store is only about 1/10th the size of the Parisian flagship, and the lady I spoke to had her eyes glaze over when I mentioned shopping in Paris and liking Kenzo products. It's not that the American version is bad, it's just that the French flagship is exponentially better. Here, a person eventually helped me (after me walking blindly around as the only male in the store for five minutes), but quickly tried to point to something and left me on my own again. In France, the same person that greeted me at the entrance followed me around for my entire time in the store. There was a good "sampler" kit I got, that had a gift card for a full version of your favorite sample (ended up being Prada). This did make a good gift, and was well received, but my initial impression was just not as favorable as my past experience. If I'm ever going to a premium perfume shop again in America, I hope my service experience will be just a bit better. read more
