Today (Friday Jan 30th), I went in along with my beautiful and quiet 11yo autistic son. We were initially greeted by the most lovely and warm woman (think transgender, regardless a beautiful human being), whose smile lit my soul up with a moment of joy. I immediately smiled back and waved hello. Then, headed for the glasses display as I desperately need a new pair (I'm on my 3rd pair), and it's my little guilty pleasure. Not even 5 minute later--just enough time to try on a gorgeous pair of sunglasses I intended to purchase immediately, had a pretty gold hue to the frame, and was great with my skin tone. Sadly, as my autistic son commented on the frame (he said I looked beautiful in them), an "angry with life", woman came and stained my day with a toxic tone of voice and energy vibe. Apparently she chose today to be the day to make it a practice of bullying and aggressively chastising children with autism. She got into my space and that of my son's, terrifying him (again, autistic child). With venom in her voice explained that we were NOT welcome in the store, as my son had a small cup of ice cream he was finishing in his hand. There was no grace or professionalism in her ugly stare and very hostile tone and body language. I was literally shocked and considered arguing as I wanted that frame. But, with my son starting to panic and get shaky--decided to just leave. I hope this review makes its way to management. Probably won't, as it's Chanel. But, you never know.

This was one of the worst experiences I've had at any Bath & Body Works. Buying, and even exchanging candles, should be relaxing and enjoyable, not stressful. I brought in brand-new, never-burned fall candles that that are currently on the shelves. When I received my online order after blind buying, I decided that I did not like several of the scents. These were brand new candles, I had my online order number, and my Bath & Body Works app contains my complete purchase history. This should have been a simple drama free exchange. Instead, Marley instructed what an apparently new employee to process the transaction as a "no receipt" return. I immediately said I was not comfortable with that because I did have proof of purchase. Customers should not be asked to process legitimate purchases as "no receipt" returns simply because the company's online and in-store systems don't communicate effectively. Throughout this unnerving lengthy interaction, I did not raise my voice. Marley, however, repeatedly raised her voice and becoming increasingly agitated. She proceeded to waste even more time "mansplaining" some policy to me that has never been my experience doing an in store exchange. instead of listening and trying to resolve the issue, she kept this incessant verbal loop going. I even told her there was no need for the situation to escalate over a simple candle exchange. The interaction took place at the front cash wrap, in full view of other customers, making what should have been a routine exchange feel like a public ordeal. I left feeling embarrassed and singled out. To make matters even more confusing, after processing the return, Marley rang up the replacement candles as a new purchase and showed a total of approximately $65. I had brought in current candles to exchange for other current candles of the exact same price that were on the sales floor. To save my sanity, I asked her to simply give me back the candles I brought in because I had used a 20% coupon. She told me I could not buy them back for the same price. This was my final breaking point with Bath & Body Works. Just a money grab... Bath & Body Works mass markets to what they call "consumers," not customers, to purchase seasonal collections, "limited-edition" fragrances, and online "exclusives'l many of which are blind buys because customers cannot smell them before purchasing. If that is the company's business model, then the exchange process should be easy, respectful, and customer-friendly when someone simply doesn't enjoy a fragrance. Instead, what should have taken just a few minutes turned into a 40-minute ordeal. It was 40 minutes of my vacation time that I will never get back. I walked into the store excited to smell more of the new fall collection and exchange a few candle scents. I left feeling upset and embarrassed over what should have been a routine transaction. More importantly, this ordeal was not fair to the other customers waiting in line. If I had been one of those customers observing this ridiculous drama over a simple exchange, I would have put down my basket and walked out. I have seen shoplifters running out with overflowing baskets being treated better than I was in this store. This experience has made me seriously reconsider shopping with Bath & Body Works. Premium customer service is about treating loyal customers with courtesy, respect, and professionalism. This company will never move beyond its current status given the increasing lack of service as made blatantly obvious in this store visit.

My partner booked a soap making class for our anniversary and we had the best time pouring, mixing,…read moreand talking with Jordan! It was so much fun and Jordan made the process fast and easy. He was very fun and hyped us up the entire time. He was also informative about soap techniques and did his best to guide us through the process of making our own loaves, and stepped in if we needed assistance. You get to pick your own scent, up to 3 colors, addons like glitter, oatmeal, exfoliants, etc., and what size you want (we did the half-size which is about 7 bars). I believe it was around $40-50 per person and to book, just call Buff City and say you'd like to book a soap making class! You'll receive PPE for your clothes and goggles for your face so you don't have to worry about the mess. The soap making process took only about 30 minutes to maybe an hour because we spent quite a bit of time picking out our customizations. The soap has to settle and isn't safe to use for about 3 days, so you'll have to return to the store to pick up. I came back a day later after making the soap to cut it, but you can choose to have them cut it for you if I remember correctly, and it was such a workout! I loved experiencing every part of the soap making process and didn't want to skip the soap cutting because this always looked like the best part from what I've seen on TikTok. Because I went a day later, the soap was already pretty solid and so it was difficult for me to cut, but I was able to do both loaves by myself so it's definitely doable! My partner chose one of Buff's already mixed scents to use (I think it was "Commando") for his purple and gold bars while I mixed coconut, honey, and oatmilk for mine! Both smell and look really nice in my opinion and I know this is an activity we'll do from time to time once we run out of soap. Thank you so much again, Jordan!!

Half spilled out, after immediately notifying the staff they asked if she planned to buy it. Feeling pressured and embarrassed, she paid full price, $20 of her babysitting money for half a bag. I called the store after my daughter came home, clearly shaken by the experience. The associate admitted he remembered the incident and that the spill was still on the floor. He also explained they often have open bags for customers to test. Rather than offering a replacement with me on the phone, he said it was "fine for them" she paid full price for a half empty tester product and chose to debate me on my logic. I can't help but feel like they were simply taking advantage of the situation. Accidents happen, but customer service is the one advantage brick-and-mortar stores have over online shopping. If stores lose sight of that, they lose their customers too. I imagine Buff City will read this review. I don't want a refund, I don't want a full bag. I just hope Buff City considers retraining staff to handle these kinds of situations and to prioritize customer care. Do better.

I definitely was charged for a full set only to loose half of them on the way home and the other half overnight! Let's not forget about the new "bonding" serum she used which felt like she stuck a torch directly in my eye! The next day we exchanged a few text messages and she said she would refund me my money. Well it's the day before Christmas Eve, she ended up blocking me on her cell phone and never returned any of my calls. Keep in mind I never lost my temper... I was actually in tears because she took away something I wanted for the holidays! Jennifer is very unprofessional, is cold hearted and untrustworthy! Save your money and skip right past this lash bar! I ended up having to dispute the charge with BofA and was able to get my money back. Luckily for me I saved all of her messages.

Speeding through to the after and roughly 3 hours after; I'm finding grief that has been left on my eyes, there are areas of tint that were not removed, and my eyes are still sensitive. First impressions can be the most important aspect of any customer service area, but it blew most trust out of the water with Kaitlyn. With this being my first eyelash lift and tint, I thought I as a customer would have been more important that whatever conversation was with her friend. Additionally, I asked about aftercare; she never brought it up.
