I cannot say enough good thing about this store! I went recently with a friend who made a Makeup Consultation appointment to get her wedding makeup trial done and we had such a good experience. We didn't get seated at exactly 2:15p (which was our apt time), but the product specialists really were great about acknowledging us and making us feel welcome. Once my friend was seated, they immediately went to work on prepping her skin (toner, moisturizer, etc). The first guy was really great about explaining the benefits and features of all the products. After her skin was prepped, her makeup artists Jessica started asking all of the important questions to get an idea of what kind of look my friend was going for. Jessica really listened and took into consideration everything my friend asked for. The end result was beautiful, and we both appreciated how Jessica explained how to use all of the products! The "studio space" is a little small, and since I was just observing I felt like I was constantly in the way of other customers...but that's definitely not the stores fault. In the end, I ended up buying some products for myself since we got such true and honest feedback from the makeup artist. Sephora refused to give me my money back when a package didn't show up after ordering it online and I bought it in store because the status said it was delivered when tracking it. The tracking option is never accurate and many packages delayed or never show up after saying that it was delivered. I honestly have been shopping there for over 20 years and I've never been so mad. I am a lawyer and they are in breach of contract and it's also fraudulent to claim you honor your retune policy but online and you don't! read more

I want to give a huge shout out to their beauty consultant, Lauren! I came in today after a crisis at Ulta where their employee matched my pale ghost skin with an orange foundation. Lauren was very patient and kind to me and made DAMN SURE I walked out with a foundation shade that actually matched my skin. She had this cool app on her phone that scanned my skin and ended up telling her I was a shade or two darker than I actually am. Instead of just selling me what her phone said, she said "I don't think that's the right color for you. Here, let's try this and this and this" and we found my perfect color. Sephora for life. Oooooooo child! I'm in the process of 'woosa-ing' as I exit this Sephora. This is my first time stepping into a Sephora and quite possibly the last bc of this lovely 1st experience. Sarcasm emphasized. Came in to peruse at the what the fuss is about as well as purchase a FENTY lipstick. Not one associate approached me when I entered or looked at a few shelves of things. Found my lipstick and made my way to the counter until my saw the mini-sized Christmas products- I stopped to check out. Completely oblivious to the fact that the concealer I picked up was not marked "tester" - I proceed to test it out on my skin. I liked it and was about to add one to my purchase until the unpleasant associate Amaz reprimanded me in a manner that left me without words - not because what she was saying was eloquent but because she must've had a lapse in memory that she was speaking to another adult. The degrading way in which she spoke to me was that of speaking to a child that you are about to give a spanking to. LOVELY 1st time experience Sephora!! The proper way to correct me Amaz, would have been to educate me where that product is and where I can test it out. Thank you for your holiday customer service. If I could leave ZERO stars I would. I have gone to this Sephora at the Galleria Dallas several times and my experience was never less than pleasant until my latest visit. I go in with my 1 year old son and my 17 year old sister, we were both there to look for Christmas gifts and some things we needed personally, we split up because I wanted to purchase gifts and one of them included hers so we went our separate ways and as I am looking around at the products I head towards the wall that I believe is on the right that holds all of the perfumes and colognes, as I do so my phone rings, it is my sister when I answer it I just happen to look up and lock eyes with my sister who is at the same wall more towards the entrance she starts telling me how this lady is watching her and I'm confused so I head her way so she can just tell me in person as opposed to over the phone and as I'm doing so I see a lady literally just peeking around a corner and watching her I get to her and she explains to me how this woman is literally just following her around and talking over her walkie talkie giving a description of my sister, I was confused so I asked her what she was doing and she said she was just looking at lashes and she gestured towards the lashes in her hand so of course I am uncomfortable and so is my sister so we head towards this woman and I ask her (without an attitude and without yelling) if there is an issue so that we can resolve it, as soon as I ask her she sees who my sister is and her entire demeanor changes to defense mode and she begins YELLING FRANTICALLY in front of all the customers and the security guard and another man that we're standing with her so I am immediately appalled and not to mention embarrassed she finally she says "I WILL NOT BE ACCUSED OF ANYTHING IN MY OWN STORE" at this moment I ask to speak for a manager and she says very sarcastically that she IS the manager so I tell her as a manager she should be allot more professional and I would like her name and the number to corporate and instead of giving me it she YELLS "1-800 Sephora" and walks away. The man next to her does nothing and neither does the security guard. At this point not only am I mad and embarrassed that I am being treated this way in front of so many other customers but I look down at my son who has been in his stroller in the middle of myself and this woman this whole time and I can see it in his face that he is just so scared and confused so I am now just raging in anger at the fact that she did this in front of my ONE YEAR OLD so I am now crying from rage and I go look for another employee because I just cannot even believe that someone so unprofessional and so ghetto could be the manager I finally find another employee and I tell her what happened and she asks me to point out the woman and so I do and she confirms that the woman I am talking about is the manager but she says that there is other managers and that she was going -continued in pictures attached to the review read more

Went in for my custom makeover appointment. I seriously love getting my makeup down at Sephora! The makeover Itself is complimentary but you have to purchase at least 50 dollars worth of product, um...easy! I was apprehensive this time because I asked for an 80s look for an event but they were so excited! After getting a quick skin treatment, the party began with lots and lots of color! My make up artist did such a great job, I could never have pulled off the look she gave me on my own. I ended up purchasing lashes, eyelid primer, Clinique make up wipes, and a new product I've never owned, Bye Bye Makeup. Now that I've tried it, I can't believe I have been living my life without it. It's a Sunday, the Dallas Galleria is packed, as is this store. I count at least 15 staff members standing around and adjusting products on the shelves. I went in and spent $200 on a bottle of cologne. I'm quick, fast and efficient. I know what I want when I go to the mall. With cologne in hand, I head to the checkout counter where I see 4 customers in line and ONE person checking them out. Loudly I said, "15 staff members standing around with one cashier on a busy Sunday afternoon?" They all look and no one makes a move. WTF? Piss poor customer service and where was the manager? I was in the area and in need of a summer foundation, so I popped in. When I entered, there was a group of employees in a group chatting, and I made my way through the store and sampled a few brands before someone offered to assist. This girl was like a walking color palate. And I say that in the best way. I told her what I was looking for, and she spent about seven minutes with me finding the perfect shade for me after I spend this weekend by the pool. The samples were mixed up and they didn't have one for the color I wanted to look at, so she opened one up to try, and it was the winner. At other Sephora's, I have found the employees welcoming and helpful and was feeling a little out off until she came up to me. Some people still know good customer service, and I appreciate it. Jeffrey approached us while we were looking at products and pulled my son to the side to "rehydrate his curls"....long story short we bought EVERYTHING Jeffrey recommended because the products completely redefined my son's hair in under 30 seconds, effortlessly. Listen. The Covid19 situation in stores right now is beyond annoying especially when you know exactly what you need. Or think you do. It was kind of frustrating waiting outside of the store since it seemed they were only letting 4-5 people on at a time. But when I did get in Minnie really helped me out. We hit wall after wall after wall becauSe they didn't have my color in the two foundations I wanted. So I went to an older foundation I used to use and Minnie helped me update my color match. What gives with all the glitter in my eyeliner? Really...I thought I was seeing stars. Nope. I was seeing glitter. And so was everyone else. It's all freaking over my face, in my eyes, on my eyes, under my eyes. IT'S IN MY HAIR. I used to absolutely LOVE Sephora brand twist up waterproof eyeliner. I like the metallic blue. I like the silver. I like the gray. But my all time favorite was black with glitter. Just a touch of glitter to glitz up my day. However I bought the purple with glitter. Would you like a lttle purple eyeliner with that glitter. Were Cheech and Chong on eyeliner compsition duty that day? "Dude...what if we put ALL the glitter in that ONE purple eyeliner thingy? I really planned on avoiding all shopping malls this holiday season. Sadly, as I built my gifts for my coworkers, I found myself in need of a few finishing items for the ladies. This weekend, I slapped on some battle gear & decided to brave the Galleria... early... on Sunday... when *hopefully* people are still at church or brunch. Surprisingly, the mall wasn't too crowded when I arrived. I headed straight for Sephora so I could find the gifts & haul booty. I browsed the whole store for fun and noticed a lot of perfume & cologne options, and a slew of make-up items. Ladies - try the dry shampoo. It'll change your life, I swear. There were fun little items, too, but nothing quite like I expected. None of the sales associates seemed to notice me there - a consistent problem at most beauty places, I've noticed - save for one at the very back of the store. He asked me what I was looking for, and once I explained it was something small for co-workers & I was on a budget, he dragged me immediately to the gift set area. He handed me a very reasonably priced gift set that had 12 items: 6 lotions & 6 body washes, all in matching scents. That's easily 6 matching gifts, or 12 stocking stuffers! Well, well, well, looks like I covered the ladies in my office and a few friends, too. And for under $5 each, yay! This man truly saved the day. I'd never been so happy at forking over some cash for small containers of smelly-good lotions. And the cashier was friendly, too. Ok, so this store can get a little expensive depending on what you're buying. I doubt I'll shop there regularly for common needs, but I might for certain specialty items at least :) read more

I had the best experience with Brooke. She was exceptionally kind during my visit! She helped me to find the PERFECT fragrance and Danessa Myricks cream contour which I had been struggling to identify the right color for my complexion. I went home amazed by her customer service. Similarly, she was incredibly patient in teaching me how to use the brush and how she applies it for best results. The Burberry HER is my new favorite everyday fragrance and I would've never found it without her recommendation. I've visited since to say hello and she was just as kind. NO STARS ! Sephora at galleria mall fix your staff. They represent you! My make up artist was probably new and still learning and that's fine! Practice makes perfect but nobody came to check her work! Nobody said Sarah(the makeup artist name)her cheeks aren't contoured correctly and you need to BLEND BLEND BLEND everywhere! I walked out looking like a clown! With lines on my cheeks!!! I was so upset especially because none of the make up artist helped her out! They were all there! Pretty frustrated by my recent visit here which is in drastic contrast with my past experiences at other locations. No one would help me. Two different employees tried to call someone to help me as (both said they worked in a different part of the store) but no one came either time. As I was leaving I saw 3-4 employees standing at the front, one doing paperwork and the others discussing food. I came to Sephora for the expertise I am used to receiving and literally just needed an informed opinion on color 'a' or color 'b'. I am beyond pleased (and pleasantly surprised) with my experience getting a custom makeover this past weekend! Dave started off with addressing some of my skincare needs and pretty much nailed all of my concerns (oily skin, prone to blemishes, and dry chapped lips - lovely, I know). I liked that he took his time, was gentle and introduced me to some steps in my skincare regimen that I would normally skip. He was very sweet and made me feel relaxed! Then, Madison came in to do my makeup and surpassed any other experience I've had getting my makeup done! Everything from my warm smokey eye, sculpted cheeks and perfect cat-eye eyeliner were as they say ---- "on fleek"! Madison even managed to make my small eyes look bigger (usually makeup artists usually make them look smaller by putting heavy makeup). Next time I am in the DFW area, I am definitely going to ask for Dave and Madison! read more

I've been to every Sephora in the DFW and this location has always been my favorite. It's clean and well stocked in a wide range of colors. As a dark-skinned woman I understand how frustrating makeup shopping can be but there have been times where a brand actually does carry my shade but a Sephora location just doesn't have it in their store's range (smh). Thankfully this location hasn't given me that problem. The associates are always friendly and the store is always clean. Almaz in the fragrance department is a sweetheart! They're very thorough when they help you out and give detailed advice. I was welcomed when I walked in the door and immediately offered help which made my shopping experience fast and easy. I even got suggestions specific to what I was trying to do, but she didn't actually try and force me to buy other things. The only frustration I had was that although there was plenty of staff in the store they were only running one register and there were about five people in line. I found that a little frustrating, especially since I ran here on my lunch break. It's a good sized store though and had a good selection and because I work right next to the Galleria I'll probably be back when I need more makeup! read more

A little on the small side. Someone helped me find the Dew Me by Urban Decay but once she did no one else really tried to help. Until some one tried to sell me the 'fat girl' brand. Not sure if she was just pushing the product becuase I was standing there or what but not interested in slathering my skin in caffeine and hoping the cellulite goes away. If you are i've got some ocean front property in Arizona you might be interesting in seeing. Also - When i finally was able to hunt someone down to help me with some makeup forever products, they were out of stock and i was told to 'just go to one of our bigger stores' I guess i'd rather have the option to order it and have it mailed or SOMETHING anything. Enter with caution! I only say that because you will ALWAYS leave here with something and spend more than you expected. This is really a kid in a candy store concept expect with makeup! They have so makeup brands from low to high end and everything can be tested before you purchase it. All of the staff here is very friendly and always helps you find a product when you're not exactly sure on what brand you may need to go with. I will start by saying I love Sephora, and often visit several times a year. I typically visit the NorthPark location, and on occasion, the Watters Creek location in Allen. I came here around noon on a Monday so needless to say it wasn't busy. I made several trips around the store, and was passed by several associates, some more than once and no one ever said hello, or asked if I needed help. I've always gotten help at the other locations. If I need a Sephora fix I will head to NorthPark next time. The staff here needs a refresher course in service. read more

This five star review is for MUA Fernando, not necessarily for the store overall. Anyway Fernando did my make up over the weekend and I've literally never looked better. I've had my make up down at Sephora several times (mainly locations in Southern California) but this was my first time doing it at a Sephora and Dallas and wow-- wish I could bring him to California with me. He was so personable and fun to chat with during the hour that he did my make up. He listened to what I wanted and had me check everything he did as he went-- I'm super particular about my eyebrows and more often than not people over do it which results in me going home and trying to get rid of the over down eyebrows without taking off any of the other make up, this didn't happen with Fernando-- he did a perfect job on the first try and had me check before applying a little more. He was the sweetest guys and is deserving of nothing but great praise. I will be requesting him anytime I'm back in Dallas and needing my face beat read more

I had my Brow Wiz break on me yet again (manufacturer's fault) and I brought it there and they gave me a new one (had my receipt and damaged product with me) and were real polite about it and didn't treat me like I was lying lol I'll return to this store! read more
