I had an opportunity to visit Sephora in Deptford Mall. I was focused when I walked in today, I wanted a professional color match for eye concealer. I needed a fair, objective opinion....so here I am. I believe as brown and black complexions ages, we need more attention to our eyes as we mature. Emily listened and suggested some great concealer based on products I used in the past, but with a different base to give it a different look. I took my time tried on some samples, no rush. Extremely relaxing. The customer service is A+ Loved the individual attention and application of the products. Well lit displays of great products and the SAMPLES are plentiful. The eye sent my hubby's prescription over at 12noon on 9/5/2025. I came to pick up through the driveway at 6pm and was told it would take 30 minutes. I decided not to come back. I came in at 11:30am and was told it will take 20 minutes for pick up. I wanted to know why it still wasn't ready. I was told it was not expedited. That's why it wasn't filled. Unacceptable. A teenage girl's dream come true! My daughter's eyes doubled in size when we entered! We were greeted by a gorgeous young girl w/ an amazing (classy, not overdone) made up shimmering face. She was helpful, along with the other beauties in here. The prices are high but you know that going in. What can you do?! We all deserve splurges, and this is a place to do it! I usually get overwhelmed by Sephora but this time wasn't like that thanks to Billie! She was very straightforward and helped to suggest foundations for my shade. I was looking for a collection and it was sadly only online but she colored matched me so I could order later on. Billie was very professional and blunt which I appreciated. Oftentimes I've gotten service from the sorority girl type who are like "OMG everything is soooooo cute on you" and I know that is far from the truth. Just made an even exchange on a product (same type, different color) that was a gift and had the receipt. I had to pay $10+. They said because purchaser used their credits toward the purchase of it, I couldn't do an even exchange. No other explanations, only the computer wouldn't let them. Beware. Greg was my makeup artist for my birthday. He was super excited and very interested in my look of choice. His experience is impressive, his knowledge is extensive, he is a professional, and truly a delight. He asked what make up I usually wear, asked if I knew what kind of look I wanted, and kept me informed on the process, as well as, products. Greg did such a beautiful job with my birthday look, I received compliments galore on my beat. I would fully recommend him. His personality is welcoming and I would recommend him to everyone. I have read all the previous reviews and I don't understand why they got so few stars!! On a whim I went to Deptford Mall with my husband and my son I had to go in Sephora to buy a kabuki brush. My husband had beat me in because we have constantly been looking for so forward to repackage and re-launch their body butter. To my amazement they finally did!! I was so happy not only to a found my coveted body cream again after not having it for a year but to find that every single person that I dealt with in that store we're not only nice but extremely accommodating! In the past I have always found that the Defort location was much better than the Cherry Hill location for a few reasons one being that they have more available in stock because it is not as high of a travel store as Cherry Hill and the second reason is because I've always found the employees to be a lot more inviting helpful and nice then Cherry Hill ever was. I say go in again and give Sephora at Deptford Mall a second try if you've had a bad experience maybe they have gotten different employees I don't know all I know is that this will definitely be my go to Sephora! read more

Booked a mini brow and foundation for this store. Mini brow looked good but they do the minimum and it's a required $30 purchase. Already had the foundation appointment which was a disaster. Stopped in today to get my Smashbox mascara. I searched the entire store for it. I walked around aimlessly and was never even greeted by any of the associates. Finally, I asked the cashier if she could help me. She directed me to another associate who was nice enough and found the mascara for me. This has more to do with Sephora and not really the store itself. Was looking for Kiehl's products, checked their website and it said Kiehls was one of the brands they sell. Went to my local JC Penney and was told that Kiehl's was only sold in the stand alone store and the closest to me was an hour away at the Deptford Mall. I double checked to make sure there was a stand alone store at the mall, I checked the website to browse the Kiehl's products they had and left early enough so I'd be there when they opened. Get into the store, sales girls standing right there since they just unlocked the door and asked me if I was looking for something in particular. I told her and she said we don't sell Kiehl"s. I said the sales girl at JC Penney said you did because she told me to come here. Your website also said the brand I wanted was here. She said sometimes they get sample/small sizes but that is it. She said I could order from the Sephora website. Why post on your website you sell the products in your store when you don't? I can go to Kiehl's website and order from there! Will not be returning because of the way they do business. read more

Unfortunately i don't remember her name but the girl was so nice to me she did everything i asked for and even ended up helping fix my hair for my wedding cuz hair salon in that same mall messed it up really bad! Because of Ashley at the Deptford Mall location, Sephora has lost a frequent customer. She refused to return an item I purchased but was not satisfied with. I asked to speak with someone higher than her and she refused to do that also. This issue will definitely be taken up the chain. read more

The store is nicely organized and all, but the associates were so rude to me. I went to get a foundation match and for some reason, they didn't use the new Pantone matcher on me. I was directed to a sales associate who laughed at me when I told her I couldn't find a match before in Urban Decay's shades; they were all too dark. She directed me to MUFE's HD foundation, without asking me ANYTHING about my skin type, coverage needs, etc. I also found it strange she'd recommend it to me, being so pale, because it had no SPF. I have yellow undertones, and the lightest "yellow" shade in the range is 117, which is orange on me. The saleswoman applied it and I could see a streak of orange down my neck. I mentioned it and she sighed, then snapped "Well, I BLENDED it. It's fine!!" Um, no. I need something that actually matches. Nice that you're so proud of your blending, though. I asked her if they had smaller sizes or samples so I could try more shades on my own time. She stared at me. "We don't DO samples." Alright then. I won't come back. This was embarrassing. read more

I hate coming in here , unfortunately it's the closest Sephora to me . When I usually come in I'm not wearing makeup , I feel like this has a lot to due with the way I am treated , on top of looking a lot younger than I am . I also come in with my BF a lot as soon as I enter I am HOUNDED by associates . I am usually asked if I'm looking for something , if I need help , etc about 10 times within a mabey 15 min span . Even my boyfriend gets annoyed and thinks it's odd. People follow us around constantly, even though I say I'm fine and just browsing, it's extreme . I feel like I can never relax . I am somewhat familiar about what goes on in theses type of stores (I used to work at a ulta) I know what it said over the headsets and what to look out for .which is part of the reason I quit . These beauty are extremely biased , if your not coming in with a full face of makeup and well dressed they will suspect you of stealing right off the bat . Sorry sometimes I wana relax and not be "made up " just let me shop . There is no reason in such a small store with a very limited amount of customers that I needed to be followed you can even watch me from afar I know it's your job but it's to much . Horrible. I just came here yesterday and wasn't greeted or asked for help I just walked around to see if it would change. Two women were at the front one stood behind the cash register and the other walked around to get a product. But soon realized she was helping no one. I walked in line to look at the sample sizes looked at them both still nothing. So just when I finally thought I could get service she walked past me to look in the mirror to fix her damn hair. I had money to spend on some pricey products too. I'll never shop here again. Cherry hill will forever get my money and service! I wish I still were a secret shopper!!! I'll keep spreading the word of this store to not shop where you aren't wanted. read more
