Aside from the Apple Store, this Sephora is the second busiest store in the Galleria Mall in Fort Lauderdale. Stores seem to be closing every few months here but this store is packed with happy ladies hunting for their sacred cosmetic product. My wife and her friend went nuts in the store rummaging through different shades of their favorite lip stick, shampoo and foundation. Staff positioned at every aisle for assistance and probably as a theft deterrent. Our friend bought a hair product from Morraccanoil and then gave her a cute tiny black and white striped bag to carry it in. My wife purchased Dry Shampoo from the same company for $14.99. I'll be honest, the store itself can be hit or miss on service, I once checked out and was told they used my 20% off rouge discount... and they didn't. However, my gal VALARIE who does custom makeup at this location... is SUPERIOR. She is friendly, kind, open and very accommodating. I loved her style, and how she did our consultation before the appointment got started, and the way she carried herself. It was a exceptional experience from start to finish because of her and her level of professionalism. Not only that, but I felt the level of authenticity was unlike anything I've experienced before at Sephora. She was honest and open about her experience with the company (she loves Sephora!) and also about topics we could connect on like skincare, aging, and stress reduction. Don't expect to get help unless you actively seek out a sales associate. I think the security guard in the back of the store noticed me more than the sales people (he even said bye when I was leaving) and I thought that was ironic because several of the ladies looked me in the eyes and literally walked past me before I could ask for help. 30min later and once I found someone to help me color match foundation, she was very helpful and introduced me to a bunch of products that would be beneficial for my skin. I didn't find her pushy because I was open to trying new things - the makeup line I've been using for 10+ years discontinued two of my products and I was looking for alternatives. I left feeling like I accomplished what I went in to do but it would have been nice to get help sooner. The store didn't seem overly busy for a Saturday afternoon as there were quite a few sales people on the floor and no wait time in line. Because we are on a plane this week we can't buy big bottles but this one employee offered us a sample of urban decay so that we could just sample it. It's about 3 applications and I thought that was awesome. To think, a bottle of Urban Decay foundation is kind of expensive (and I should know since this is one of the products I use on others) so to give a small sample of it in a plastic tiny little bottle was really smart. At least we were able to take it on the plane because we needed it for a night out and the rest we took home. This is what I call excellent customer service and this is why Sephora usually gets my business. Customer Service and awesome product always go hand in hand for sure. read more

I usually shop at the Sephora closer to me in Coral Springs but I went to Fort Lauderdale Beach on this day and decided to shop here after. For the most part I knew what I needed because I sampled a foundation and loved it so I wanted to purchase the full size bottle. Upon entering the store absolutely none of the associates greeted me (it was about 2 of them assisting guest and about 4 more doing nothing) I shrugged it off as maybe no one saw me so I headed to the Lancome section and picked out my foundation shade. Then I headed over to Fenty Beauty to grab a Gloss Bomb, still no one asked if I needed help, no greeting or anything. It took me a couple seconds to figure out where Tatcha was located (I literally walked from the front of the store close to the entrance and towards the back to reach to Tatcha) I passed numerous associates and the cashier at the register and still no one greeted me or asked if I needed assistance. But as soon as I walk over to the Tatcha section and pick up the Silk Canvas Primer for $52, not only 1 but 2 associates asked if I needed help. All of a sudden because I have about $130 worth of products in my hands the associates notice me. I was shopping with my friend and I said to her "Wow, I've been in the store over 10 minutes before any associate acknowledged me." I know the manager overhead me hit she kept doing whatever it was that was occupying her time. They had 1 cashier and after she saw the upset look on my face she paged someone to come ring up my purchase, she was nice but at that point I was over my whole experience and paid for my items and left. Customer Service is important, whether you're spending money or not. If I didn't know what I wanted to purchase my experience would've been worse. I left the store with a bad taste in my mouth and I wouldn't recommend anyone shop here to avoid being profiled and ignored. read more

I went to this Sephora on 3/27 for an appointment my mom made. My mom made it as a surprise for my birthday so I was not involved in the scheduling. I arrived early (a few minutes after 4pm for a 4:30 appointment). When I arrived, I learned I was scheduled for a personal shopper experience and not a make-up session (eyes only due to Covid). Clearly there was a miscommunication with scheduling. The issue is how the MANAGER Sylvana responded (my associate was pleasant and tried to get approval since the store was EMPTY and the make-up artist was not doing a single thing!). The manager came over and she was everything short of accommodating. She was condescending and told me I needed 2 hours notice to make an appointment (I had an appointment, just the wrong kind as explained above). I explained to her I had a birthday dinner and my mom made the appointment as a surprise. You would think as a manager, she would make an exception given the circumstances. Nope. I made a purchase (out of necessity) and as I'm leaving the store, she yells out to me "'make an appointment next time"! Not thank for coming, sorry for the inconvenience, or any professional pleasantries. Staff, especially managers should act in a manner that is reflective of your business model. If Sylvana is a representation of Sephora's brand, I will never shop at this location or give my business to Sephora again. read more

I have a confession. I am addicted to cosmetic stores. Like a moth to a flame I wandered in here today and was greeted by several sales clerks. One thing I noticed about Sephora is that they seem to never be under staffed. I was offered help more times than I needed it and got lots of product tips from the girls. The store is small so it gets a little confusing for me, especially since I am so used to Ulta! All in all, it's a good store with a excellent selection on all things beauty. read more

If you're looking for quality cosmetic and styling products and a nice selection all in one place, Sephora will satisfy. Smashbox, Bobbi Brown, Lancome, NARS, Laura Mercier, Phyto, and many more .. basically a selection of what you usually go to several counters at a department store to buy. Almost like a miniature version of Ulta, with all of the high-end goodies. Great selection at regular retail prices, though customer service can be itchy at times. read more

I had a great experience in search for my first eyebrow pencil. I asked for someone to help me pick one out and show me how to apply it properly. They filled in my brows to show me how to apply it, and I was on my way. On top of that, my husband was looking for fragrances and they were super happy to fill as many sample scents as we wanted. They are starting up some new classes that are both free and some that cost monies. I would love to attend the free smokey eyes class. read more

We decided to stroll in here to look at a few items and the service was absolutely superb. Though the ladies were busy busy they did take time to help each of us find what we're looking for. I found the knowledge level of each employee very attractive they knew their's products quite well and would come up with other ideas if what you were looking for wasn't quite right. It's nice to let someone do the work for you when you're looking for facial products since there's so many to choose from. I ended up buying a lotion for under eye health and preventative of lines. I picked out my gift then was strolling along the perfume section... there was one Ive been wanting and when I saw it for $48 I was PUMPED! But, then, they were out of it. So the girl went to the back and found some, only to find out that it was not $48, but 90 something. WTF with your labeling? Think Im being too harsh? Welp, I went for my back up. Gucci by Gucci. My all time fave. For $55 how can I got wrong for a small bottle? Nope guess again. That too was "out" so she had to go back and find it, and again.... guess what? So this review is a little late, since I visited this Sephora last in January, but let's just say it wasn't a pleasant experience. I'd like to say I'm an expert when it comes to finding what I need at Sephora, since I've been shopping there for several years, but since every layout is different at each store, I was in need of assistance. When I asked an older employee about a mascara I was looking for, she gave me attitude and was acting like she didn't even know what I was talking about. I just remember looking at my boyfriend and giving him this look like this woman is a loon and should NOT be working here. Well...after she didn't help me at all and basically walked off, voilà! I found the mascara on my own. They need to hire people who actually know what they are talking about and know the products and the locations in the store. I went to this Sephora on a Saturday afternoon for a 2:30pm makeup appointment. My makeup artist Monika was so talented. I told her I was going to a wedding and showed her a picture of my dress. She ran with that information and knew exactly what to do. I looked flawless. I give this location 5 stars because of Monika and not for the products offered. This is a much smaller Sephora branded store than some of the others in the area (Aventura, Pembroke Pines) and it shows. I don't mind coming in here for the most part. Typically they have what I need. But the reason for this mediocre review is twofold based on my last two experiences here. Came in here on Monday around noon knowing exactly what I needed but not exactly where it was in the store. However, I also like to browse and swatch and all that jazz. I walked in and an older (50-60?) lady asked me if I needed anything. "No thanks, I'm just looking". Snarky look, but ok. I turn the corner after grabbing the eyeliner I wanted, again I get asked the same question. No thanks, still looking and doing fine. Not even 2 minutes later, the same lady comes up very close in my personal space and asks me A THIRD TIME if there's something she can help me find. Was I not clear the first two times? I was kind of rude in saying no the third time then went to checkout since I had both things I went in for by that point. Checkout was not problematic, but it was obvious that either this lady was very bored or hadn't been meeting her sales goals lately. I'm fairly certain Sephora girls don't get commission sales but it felt like it. The time before that-I asked for help from an employee for a moisturizer recommendation for my ultra dry skin that wouldn't break the bank. Miss Sephora Employee recommends three night creams which were all over $90. Thanks, but no thanks. I would be willing to consider 50 or 60 because I recognize the importance of good skin care, but then she got rude with me when I got angry that they were all out of my price range. Not the best customer service, trying to sell me something I'll love but can't have. This store is also a much smaller store than Aventura and the product displays show it. It's way more likely they won't have as wide a variety of product or be out of stock of something, just because of the size of the store (it's probably 20% of the size of Aventura). I've only had one time where there was something I needed be out of stock, but it was a tad annoying seeing it was a staple product for me. I'll keep coming here because it's convenient-but for quick in and out trips like the one I just had, not for major shopping. read more

I am not from around here I'm here on vacation and realized while checking my bag today to go to sephora because I didn't bring my setting powder. When I went to the store all of the floor members acted like they were too good to be bothered even if they weren't attending someone else.
