    Custom Makeover by Valarie
    Grace L.

I'll be honest, the store itself can be hit or miss on service, I once checked out and was told they used my 20% off rouge discount... and they didn't. However, my gal VALARIE who does custom makeup at this location... is SUPERIOR. She is friendly, kind, open and very accommodating. I loved her style, and how she did our consultation before the appointment got started, and the way she carried herself. It was a exceptional experience from start to finish because of her and her level of professionalism. Not only that, but I felt the level of authenticity was unlike anything I've experienced before at Sephora. She was honest and open about her experience with the company (she loves Sephora!) and also about topics we could connect on like skincare, aging, and stress reduction. I was so so so happy with the final result and could not have asked for a better associate to help me! If you're going here for custom makeup, please ask for her! She's funky, fun and so so fresh.

Recently went to a Lady Gaga concert with one of my friends. As neither of us can do makeup, we decided to go to Sephora to have it done. We were able to easily make both appointments online and when we got there, we were taken right away. Our artist listened to what we both wanted and was quick and diligent. When I noticed a spot I didn't quite like, she fixed it no problem. Would deff check out again if needed to!

Cute store highly stocked with items. Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable about the items they carry. Picked up w new fragrance and tried some beauty items while I was there.

Don't expect to get help unless you actively seek out a sales associate. I think the security guard in the back of the store noticed me more than the sales people (he even said bye when I was leaving) and I thought that was ironic because several of the ladies looked me in the eyes and literally walked past me before I could ask for help. 30min later and once I found someone to help me color match foundation, she was very helpful and introduced me to a bunch of products that would be beneficial for my skin. I didn't find her pushy because I was open to trying new things - the makeup line I've been using for 10+ years discontinued two of my products and I was looking for alternatives. I left feeling like I accomplished what I went in to do but it would have been nice to get help sooner. The store didn't seem overly busy for a Saturday afternoon as there were quite a few sales people on the floor and no wait time in line. This Sephora is a good place to go if you know what you're getting.

I usually shop at the Sephora closer to me in Coral Springs but I went to Fort Lauderdale Beach on this day and decided to shop here after. For the most part I knew what I needed because I sampled a foundation and loved it so I wanted to purchase the full size bottle. Upon entering the store absolutely none of the associates greeted me (it was about 2 of them assisting guest and about 4 more doing nothing) I shrugged it off as maybe no one saw me so I headed to the Lancome section and picked out my foundation shade. Then I headed over to Fenty Beauty to grab a Gloss Bomb, still no one asked if I needed help, no greeting or anything. It took me a couple seconds to figure out where Tatcha was located (I literally walked from the front of the store close to the entrance and towards the back to reach to Tatcha) I passed numerous associates and the cashier at the register and still no one greeted me or asked if I needed assistance. But as soon as I walk over to the Tatcha section and pick up the Silk Canvas Primer for $52, not only 1 but 2 associates asked if I needed help. All of a sudden because I have about $130 worth of products in my hands the associates notice me. I was shopping with my friend and I said to her "Wow, I've been in the store over 10 minutes before any associate acknowledged me." I know the manager overhead me hit she kept doing whatever it was that was occupying her time. They had 1 cashier and after she saw the upset look on my face she paged someone to come ring up my purchase, she was nice but at that point I was over my whole experience and paid for my items and left. Customer Service is important, whether you're spending money or not. If I didn't know what I wanted to purchase my experience would've been worse. I left the store with a bad taste in my mouth and I wouldn't recommend anyone shop here to avoid being profiled and ignored.

Finally got the Tartelette palette in bloom!

I also expressed interest in a cologne of which she gave me a small sample to take with me.

Have you ever walked up to a perfume/cologne counter and felt overwhelmed by the choices? I have…read moreand Perfume Connection doesn't make it easy. Their showcases are stocked with perfumes and colognes. The middle island is filled to the brim, both on the glass shelves and in the cabinets below. They even have a warehouse that holds excess inventory. There's no shortage of options here - you are bound to find something you like. Their prices are fair, and they accept up to $10 in 'Festivalue Dollars", $1 flea market currency that can be used for every $5 American spent. (You get flea market currency at information desks in the building.) There are several perfume counters in the flea market but what makes this one unique - besides their inventory of hard to find scents like Bond #9 - is that the employees know their perfumes and colognes. They are able to translate my likes into a scent profile so they present perfumes that represent my likes. They aren't just order-takers or disengaged counter help. They actually work with me to sort out the perfumes that 'speak' to me and help me to narrow down the ones that I like best. Ultimately I leave with perfume that I like that day and months later. That is why I keep returning to them! They also have discontinued colognes (like Pur-Sang) and perfumes (like Bulgari Omnia brown) so we can keep getting scents that are hard to find. Today hubby got Armani Code and Pur-Sang and I got Gucci Premiere to go along with recent purchases of Narciso Rodriguez for Her and Bulgari Jasmine Noir. Thankfully their prices enable me to buy expensive brands! This store, like most in the flea market and beyond, offers 'tester' bottles as well as traditional bottles. Tester bottles have the same perfume/cologne but lack the fancy packaging. The bottles of my perfume are beautiful - likely because the perfume is high end - and I don't keep the boxes so I don't care about that. I only care about the perfume. Their tester boxes are usually sealed and stored appropriately, so I know the perfume is in tact, unused, and unspoiled by heat. I've shopped here for a few years and have never had an issue - but they have a generous return policy if we find we don't like the perfume/cologne after the purchase. They're located where Market Street meets Carnival within the flea market building.

I went to pick up a package for a friend that was supposedly delivered here at 12:14 PM yesterday. First they told me they wouldn't give it to me, despite the fact that I showed them a screenshot of the Delivery and offered to put him on the phone. Then they said oh if you can have him forward the email where we can read the barcode, we'll give it to you. He did, but there's no barcode that appears. There was an order number which I had already given them and a delivery date and time. With no less than 17 people behind me in the line and only two people at the register despite over a dozen people working at the store, putting mostly returned merchandise back, he proceeded to fail to give me the package which Nordstrom delivered to an address unrelated to the customer despite Ted being requested to deliver at the store. Meanwhile, I had an impulse purchase, and their system wouldn't recognize me despite me standing there with my ID and explained it to them that I had a new ZIP Code less than two months old. None of the previous ZIP Codes worked either. The apparent manager said oh after three times it locks you out, which was proven wrong when I put the first ZIP Code, which is the correct one in for the second time and it let me in but the new sales lady who didn't know what she was doing and called the manager over in the first place pressed cancel, and I said I'm done and chose to live without a pair of sketchers. I think I'm gonna live without walking into Nordstrom rack for at least the rest of 2026. This was a terrible terrible retail experience on every level.
