This was hands down the WORST customer service I've ever experienced at any Ulta, and it happened at the Tower Shops location around 8PM last night. I went in simply to pick up an online order, and instead of receiving even the slightest bit of help, I was met with eye-rolling, attitude, and pure rudeness from all three employees working. Their exact solution? To tell me they were understaffed and that I could "go grab the item myself." Except I couldn't -- because it was locked up, and unbelievably, none of them even had the key. When (who i think) was the manager finally appeared, I expected at least some professionalism. Instead, she was just as rude and dismissive, immediately jumping to defend her staff as if I had been the one mistreating them -- when in reality, it was the complete opposite. Not once did anyone apologize or attempt to correct the situation. The way I was spoken to and brushed off was completely unacceptable. I left the store in absolute disbelief that a company as big as Ulta would allow a location to operate this way. The lack of basic respect, accountability, or customer care was shocking. I will never set foot in this store again, and I would strongly advise others to avoid this location if you don't want to be treated like an inconvenience. read more

This is my go-to Ulta location! I usually find every product I need here, however, sometimes Ulta does only offer certain products online (so be mindful of that). Staff is usually pretty friendly if you need help, although, occasionally they do huddle together too much when a customer is looking for help from someone. I find that if you just go up to them, then they are happy to help. I like that they don't pester me in the store, and let me shop in peace. The biggest downside of this location for me is how busy the Tower Shops are. Traffic and parking can be a nightmare at certain times of the day, so be aware when planning to go here. read more

He is so talented and it's gotten to the point where I just sit down in his chair and he works magic. I don't even have to tell him, he just knows what I like! He does a great job of coloring my hair with blonde highlights and it never turns brassy colored which is an issue I always had in the past. My cut is always perfect for my head/face shape. In New York I was getting InviroChi Organic formaldehyde free anti frizz hair smoothing treatments that lasted almost a year. Funny With the Florida heat and humidity I couldn't find it here. I called the company and they pointed me to Andrew. He's 45 minutes away but I enjoyed my three hour visit. He used a similar product with great results. I recently went in looking for my favorite Too Faced brand Better than Sex mascara. I intended for this to be an in/out visit, but the Hask hair products caught my eye and I picked up a bottle of the shampoo and the conditioner. Everyone I encountered was welcoming and the associate at checkout was patient and helpful in getting a manager to apply the advertised coupon when it just wouldn't work because there was a glitch. It took 15 minutes tops and I was out of there! To my surprise, I found the very same Hask products at the pharmacy the very next day with a BOGO 50% off--under $10 total! I paid nearly twice as much for these products at Ulta. [tsk-tsk] Oh well--I learned my lesson! I need to shop around first if I want to be frugal. Will I still buy from this Ulta, which is my favorite location? You bet! I usually like this location however I was a little frustrated at my last visit. The store was not crowded which is surprising since its getting so close to Christmas. I was looking for a certain item which they didn't have on the shelf so I was trying to find an associate to help me. I walked through the entire store but didn't see anyone other than the salon people and the cashiers so I asked one of the cashiers if someone could help me. The salon here is a professional salon. Andrew is amazing. He fixed my hair after I had gone to school salon where students butchered my hair, burned my scalp, and got water down my back. I have a confession to make. I am a VIB Rouge at Sephora and after my latest purchase at Ulta, I am now a Platinum member. To those of you who may not know what that entails, will clue you in. It means I spend way too much money on skin & hair care and cosmetics. I buy most items online but since Ulta opened, I visit there occasionally. For many years I was solely a Sephora girl. For me Ulta did not have the selection of high end beauty brands I wanted. Recently, though, Ulta has really stepped up its game. This store does not have all of the brands available online but it has many high end brands like Dior, Lancome, Clinique, Julep, It, Philosophy, Kate Somerville, Nars, Stila, Tarte, Smashbox, Kylie, and Flesh. There are tons more cosmetic, fragrance, and hair care brands. If high end is not your thing, there are also regular drugstore brands from NYX to Revlon. The ladies in the cosmetics section are usually very nice and try to help, but I do not always find them to be very knowledgeable about the products or very good at make-up application. Sometimes there are representatives from the cosmetics companies there for special promotions and they do a much better job. If you are interested in finding out about special promotions you can sign up st the store. Several times I have been disappointed at this store when I have gone to get a specific item, only to find out they were sold out. This Ulta has a salon and a Benefit Brow Bar. My experience at the Brow Bar was terrible but I think that would be another review! The store is located in the Tower Shops. Parking is plentiful but at certain times it can get very busy. Nice to be able to be able to run in and get high quality cosmetics without going to the mall. read more

I came in here one morning to get some help with finding the right product for my eyebrows. I'm pale, so the few inexpensive cosmetics I bought at Target were just too dark on my brows. I was greeted by a few people who were stocking a shelf up front. I told them what I needed and a very friendly lady helped me out. She applied 3 different brow products on me and I quickly learned that I was actually using a product that was a little too light on me. She explained some basics about the products and how they work. I ended up picking a great color for my brows, but it was costly. Then I grabbed a brow gel from a less expensive line. I don't think I had been in an Ulta before, other than buying from them online. I browsed the store after, they have so many great products here. Beauty gurus will love this place! It's more than just makeup, they have a lot of hair products such as flat irons, blow dryer, curling irons, shampoo, brushes and so much more. I was also surprised to learn that they do hair cuts and blow outs at this location as well. My only gripe is that the prices are on the high side, but at least you can try the items before you buy. read more

Their systems were down so she called before my appointment to let me know they could only take cash. I arrived a little late due to having to stop at the bank and at Sally's to purchase lashes. She even sent me photo recommendations to help me choose the correct kind of lashes for my maternity photo shoot. She did a great job on my hair and was very helpful in helping me set my son to sit nearby while I got my hair done. Since everyone was running behind, the person who was supposed to do my makeup had her next appointment show up once my hair was done. If you're going to tomorrow night's Elite event, I'll understand if you keep staring at me. I finally found a way to make my eyebrows look good. (There are parts that have little hair so it's hard to make them look full. There, I've said it.) So you'd have thought that I would have sought someone to make them look good - I did a few years ago but she did harm to my face that required my doctor to do a small dermatological procedure. I got chicken. I didn't want to trust anyone. But then yesterday I went to Ulta Beauty because I read on Yelp that there are these Benefit (cosmetics) Brow Bars in Ulta and some Macy's stores. I walked in to Ulta yesterday and got an appointment in a half hour. Going to Trader Joes in the same lot, I banged out my grocery shopping while awaiting my appointment. I returned for my appointment and Veronica sat me down. She cleaned my eyebrows. She shaped them and showed them to me before filling them in ( I got the "brow wax and tint"). I learned that that means she shapes the eyebrow and then uses a tint to fill them in so they look great for about 3 weeks. I never did that before. And when you check out the pics you'll HAVE to agree the eyebrows look great. I woke up today and even though I took my makeup off last night, my eyebrows are looking rather great! I made my next appointment before I left the store. (My mom wants great eyebrows too so I have to make her appointment today.) Veronica was a delight. She is very knowledgeable and skilled. We talked and laughed throughout. When we were done, we hugged and kissed each other's cheek. I'm not a girlie-girl and this was a stretch for me but she was just wonderful. We laughed and became quick friends. I signed up to join the Ulta customer base. I get points for dollars spent, birthday gifts, special discounts, etc. I didn't buy anything else while I was there because I'm gonna have trouble. They have the Bulgari perfumes I love and the Benefit mascaras I swear by (and purchased through the net, not knowing I could but it locally). They offer some upscale costmetics and I heard they do hair and makeup. Even when I checked out at the counter, I was treated like I was in a spa and not a retail store. The woman at the counter entered my info to make me a rewards customer even though there was a line. She also talked into her mic to get a peer to help a customer. And she agreed that Veronica rocked. She was calm and I swear must have worked in upscale spas to have the rap down so well. I loved it. I felt loved there. I've been in the mood of updating my everyday makeup routine so I visited Ulta today and had the pleasure of working with Josephine. Josephine was phenomenal!!! They have this new policy in place where they can't color match you at the moment so you are able to return makeup if need be. Let me tell you, Josephine is a master of her craft. She was able to match my foundation perfectly just by looking at my neck. She was friendly, upbeat, and just really knew her makeup. She helped me and my sister get all new goodies. She gave us insight on expensive, cheap, and even sale section products. Nothing was off limits. She new her stuff. It was obvious she wasn't trying to sell us on the most expensive stuff but really helping us in getting great quality makeup. I purchased shampoo and some leave in conditioner and moose from the brand EVA- NYC. I went to Ulta's salon for the first time this Friday. I scheduled a wash and blow dry as well as make up services for my engagement photos. Both of these services were performed by Edy. To begin with, I think the cost of the make up services was way more than what it was worth. The make up was something I could've done by myself at home. Regardless, that wasn't even the worst part. I wasn't pleased with my hair so once Edy was done with my make up, I asked her to fix my hair a bit. She started to have a bit of an attitude which wasn't cool. She didn't fix it how I wanted it so I ended up rushing home before our photos and fixing it myself. While I was fixing parts of my hair, I felt a large chunk on the right side of my head. It turns out Edy must have either burnt my hair or something she was using melted into my hair. As a result, CHUNKS of hair were falling out all over my countertop. You can see in the photos that it wasn't just a few pieces. It also continued to happen as we were in the car on the way to photos. Not a good way to start what is supposed to be a happy carefree evening. I call the store after our photos and no one answers. So I called again yesterday morning and spoke to one of the assistant managers. He tells me that he can't help but he will have his manager give me a call later that day. No one ever called me back. I called again today and was told that the manager was "too busy" to return my call yesterday and she is too busy to contact me today but she will call me tomorrow. As a manager, you can take 5 minutes out of your day to speak with an unhappy client ESPECIALLY when it involves my hair falling out because of their services. I also called and emailed the corporate offices and am waiting to hear back from them. read more
