This location is stingy and the employees are incredibly rude. First of all, they made some poor girl act as a perfume "bouncer" (she was a very helpful employee by the way), and apparently I was testing too many as when I left the area, another worker loudly told her to do her job as the bouncer. I find it incredibly ridiculous how they're guarding testers from customers who have spent hundreds of dollars at Sephora in the past and had no issues with any other location. Incredibly cheap and unprofessional move. However, I do wonder if the pay is so good that employees would guard the testers like dragons hoarding gold. Maybe I should apply to a *different* location. read more

Oh how I wish this Sephora was not on the other side of the mall. Its probably just as well because I would be there quite often. This location is well laid out and very well stocked with product. Everything looked shiny and bright not the least bit rummaged over or dusty. That's saying alot in a makeup store where people are constantly using the samples. The staff was very engaging and helpful. And of course it was my birthday month so I got my choice of a free gift. I've been a rewards member forever and the gifts never disappoint and points never expire. Fantastic!! I bought a $95 perfume sampler here last week after 2 different employees reassured me they I could absolutely return it if I found the one I really wanted. Went to return it tonight and was told it was a final sale and they were unable to return it. Ashley and Tommy the store managers, whose job it is to train employees on store policies, were rude and unhelpful, told me there was nothing they could do. Nobody in the store was polite or willing to try to rectify their mistake! Why is it my fault that I was given misinformation by the employees and I'm the one out $95. Will never shop there again!!! went to return/exchange one size shimmer setting spray and also purchase a face soap. cashier was extremely rude. when taking the mist she gave me an attitude and mocked me saying "wow thats crazy it's halfway empty." it wasn't. used 2 times, once to test to see if it worked because they had been known issues with the product and the second time was for a date. she got a manager or supervisor who was much better tempered and had manners and basic house training unlike the first girl. manager told me it was outside the return window which is fine but the original rep again was being extra saying "that's hella outside the window " and giving me dirty looks. I went to this Sephora in attempt to return perfume. A brown skinned African American girl came to the register with the worst attitude ever took the perfume. Looked up my account sighed and rolled her eyes and said they had a strict 60 day policy on returns but it was day 55. But still acted like she didnt want to give the bottle back after She refused my return. As i walked out she said "bbbyyyyyeee"--in a condescending way. As i walked out associates were talking amongst themselves and joking as customers were looking for help. It's just not the best Sephora. Before Covid samples were often dirty and makeup palettes on display would be destroyed by little kids. During COVID, you couldn't touch anything and they could not make up samples either. Other local Sephora's allowed you to touch and smell the products. The woman in charge of the cosmeticians is remarkably rude. As the store provided the wrong directions, we went in circles until we found it; as a result, we arrived 15 minutes late to our appointment with the cosmetician I'd booked for an hour 3 months in advance.The minute we walked in, this woman announced that she'd cancelled our appointment because it's "policy" to cancel after a 15 minute grace period. I told her why we were late and that we'd just like to get going with what remained of the hour time we booked. Instead, she announced that she wouldn't permit us to see "her" cosmetician because she didn't like my tone. It's laughable: her store provides the wrong location info in a massively confusing mall, she officiously cancels rather than apologizing for the confusion, takes up as much of the remaining time as possible talking to me like I'm a misbehaving child, asserts ownership over the cosmeticians, and then accuses me of having a "tone." She's needs a serious lesson on customer relations. In the meantime, Sephora has just lost a good customer. read more

Not only is the buy online pickup in-store option consistently wrong, but even if you call ahead of time to ensure an item is in stock they will give you incorrect information. The worst and most garbage Sephora team in the world. The store hour is open until nine. I am there at 8:40 then the stuff won't let me in. I explained I just return the stuff but they do not let us in at all. We nicely explained we won't buy anything just return project very quick. The stuff rude and reject saying they are close. This store is one of my favorite stops in the King of Prussia Mall, PA. The staff is always present, friendly and helpful. This last time I was in there, I was told a representative from on of my favorite brands was in-store. I went over to pick up my favorite Becca product (after looking online for in-store availability) and they were out! The Becca rep was trying to be helpful, but her solution to my problem was unsanitary and frankly appalling. She suggested that she would "scrap out the top" of the display makeup I wanted, and give that to me so I would "at least have the product I wanted". Beyond disgusted, I declined. I actually found the product stocked in the wrong spot. To ask me to pay for the full price item after it was used by an unknown number of people is a horrible practice. read more

Although as someone already mentioned, the layout/aisle are pretty narrow so with the weekend crowd it was difficult to navigate. This place is for every age and culture. I like a lot and I love the fragrances as I enter the store. I went right to the counter and gave Anna my Sephora Beauty Insider card (if you don't have one you must get it). I told her I wanted the daily cleanser. Shelby next to her volunteered to go get it which I thought was super sweet. Btw he face was beat GO SHELBY!!! Unfortunately they didn't have it Nevertheless Anna suggested I could order it and pay now. She would ship it to me free of charge how awesome it that!!! It may be silly to review a mall store but I had just the nicest experience today and felt it'd be nice to call them out for it! For after the holidays I kind of expected this store to be overwhelmed. I guess they anticipated the rush and it was nice to actually be able to talk to staff. I needed specific products following a dermatology procedure. The first staff member helped me find a very nice makeup artist. They were so helpful! They gave me some samples and applied some Milk products to my face and gave me advice on a new makeup skin care routine. They also gave me advice on Drunk Elephant products (and jokingly chastised me for using St. Ives Apricot scrub). They then helped me with someone in skincare and made sure I was all set. It was really nice to have staff take time to explain products that would be helpful and help me build a new skincare routine! read more

I can't believe how many people have had bad experiences here. I have had the complete opposite experience of everyone giving one or "zero" stars! I am docking a star because they recently moved to a new location and while it's nice, I still don't feel like it's big enough. It still feels cramped and overcrowded. The KOP Mall is huge. Sephora is always packed. There's no reason, in my opinion, why a store with this much volume shouldn't be in a larger space. It looks like it's almost the same exact size as the previous location. That one was long but narrow. This one is wide but not much deeper. I don't know, it still just feels like everything and everyone are all on top of each other which is frustrating during a shopping experience. On to the positives... Every time I've ever been here, I have been greeted at the door with a smile and offered assistance throughout the shopping experience. Any questions I have had have been answered, I've been brought to my product requests, etc. Last night an associate offered me help and when I declined, he offered me a basket for the products I was already holding. Over time, we've had the same fragrance associate help us multiple times and she is always pleasant and helpful. Last night I accidentally picked up the wrong lipstick minis and I easily found an associate who already knew I was searching for something and was making her way towards me. She brought me right to what I needed and then offered to put the wrong item away. I've had countless experiences like this over the years that I could continue to list. I've never had a single rude sales associate in all of my visits. The associates in here are so busy at all times that they don't even have time to chit chat or look at their phones like so many previous reviews have accused them of doing. It's rarely a slow day in Sephora and even when it is slightly slower than usual, everyone is busy working. Returns and checkout are always quick and easy, like a well oiled machine. They always have plenty of people on the register to make the long line go as quickly as possible. On very busy days, like last night...or Black Friday, they have someone posted at the front of the line, directing customers so people can funnel through the checkout process as quickly as possible. The associate helping me at the register last night seemed very inexperienced so I'm assuming she is new or holiday help but they had her directly next to a manager who jumped in without even being asked, every time she knew the girl didn't know what to do. I went to return a Natasha Denona eyeshadow palette that I purchased online and was delivered to me cracked. They didn't question me or even look at it, they just made the exchange for me, which I appreciated. I hate being treated like a criminal because I want to return or exchange something and way too many stores are like that. Not here! I've never experienced their beauty classes so I can't speak to them. As far as your every day visit, this store offers excellent service and they have tons of brands and merchandise to offer. This is a pretty nice Sephora located in the KOP shopping mall. It's located in the Plaza, second level, kind of close to JC Penney. The store is a decent size, not too small but just small enough where it can get crowded easily on a busy weekend. It's super brightly lit, which I guess is good for both trying on makeup and making you depressed at how big your pores really are. The service is actually what bumps the review up to 4 stars, but also pegs it down from being 5 stars. The staff is very friendly here, and I'm thankful that one lady took the time to help me pick out a foundation color. Three shades above what I normally wear! Crazy. On the other hand though, if you go when it's not super busy, the staff can be just a titch annoying in the eagerness to help. I've never done it, but I've heard that they offer a free hour-long makeup consultation by appointment, with the agreement to spend 50 dollars in products afterward. And 50 bucks is pretty easy to quickly blow here. Lastly, definitely sign up for their store card/loyalty program thing. You not only get a great gift, no purchase required, on your birthday every year but also several savings opportunities throughout the year. read more

When it comes to professional makeup, I am pretty damn critical. After seeing Romaine's work, I knew that she was the only artist I would trust to do my grandmothers makeup for her 70th birthday party. She did not disappoint! Romaine is beyond talented... she truly is a gifted artist. She worked precisely on my grams face, which looked spectacular. Also, her makeup lasted over 10 hours through all the tears and hugs! Aside from her amazing skills, Romaine is such a pleasure to work with; she is kind, fun, and easy-going. She was one of the best decisions I made when it came to a 45 minute consultation. Don't waste your money on another artist who can't blend eye shadows, shape and fill brows perfectly, or match the right color to your skin tone. You don't want to look back at your photos in disappointment of your face. Romaine is worth way more than the price Sephora charges and delivers more than you can ask for. You won't regret it! Large Sephora location with extensive inventory. I was there on a weekend and despite the crowds in the mall, the store wasn't crowded, messy, loud, or dirty. So nice, and rather unexpected given the conditions. The tester products were neat, clean, and well-labeled; the store had an excellent and well-organized selection of swabs, puffs, wipes, and other freebies to help test the products. I didn't wind up buying anything simply because they didn't carry the line I was looking for in the store (Demeter Fragrance Library). I also appreciated the fact that the staff did not hassle me or follow me around. I HATE that. They were available and asked if I wanted help, but didn't try to follow me around yammering. To no avail I worked with Kristen who was the bomb! She was very informative, explained EVERYTHING! Usually I am super hesitant to visit a Sephora storefront, because most of my previous experiences have been basically me being ignored by sales associates. Because of that, I have since made a point of shopping online because I've felt so uncomfortable and intimidated walking into one again. This time around, I felt like a personal visit was necessary, because I wanted to buy some cosmetics yet didn't feel quite comfy choosing colours online. So I begrudgingly admitted that I needed to make a visit to the King of Prussia location since it's the closest one to my house. When I came into the store, I was approached by a couple of sales associates who greeted me with smiles and then let me know they were around if I needed any help. In particular, Chris was extraordinarily patient and non-condescending with helping me choose the right shade of blush, then recommending me some choices with eyeliner and hooking me up with a sample of eye cream. Best of all, absolutely no pressure with purchasing anything that I looked at. Fkn amazing. I felt like my experience in Sephora today was above and beyond what I normally get from the store. It's still much more convenient for me to buy online if I know exactly what I need, but I'm way less hesitant to visit in person now that I know things have drastically improved. Coming in on a weekend was a bit much since the aisles get crowded very quickly, but like most people have commented, the place is bright and clean and extremely well-stocked. read more

I love sephora. I only get my make up from them. This is the worst sephora I've ever been to. They barely ever have anything in stock. The employees are were either playing around on their phone or flirting with some little guy that does the stocking for Macy's. They are so unknowledgeable about the products. Also, both times I've went neither of the girls working wore makeup... now I'm not saying they need have it caked on like some other places, but just a little something. I've worked in the retail industry for a very long time, if you want to move product, you look cute and not like you just rolled out of bed. People want to be inspired. I've never felt pressured to hurry up my browsing, and the sales associates are always friendly. I recently redeemed some points for a free makeover, and the girl was fantastic and helped me with everything I needed. Yes, the VIB Rouge is ridiculous (and probably a rip off), but if you buy all your makeup and skin care here, why not get some free stuff for it? In-store returns have always been fast and easy, too. Had a subpar experience here. I love to come home shopping in King of Prussia over the holidays since I live and work in NYC BUT the manager here (Avanti- I think her name was) seriously needs some training in Company policies. I made a purchase in the Union square store where the sales associate told me that I could ask for a retro refund for a coupon I left at home. ( I would NOT have purchased my items otherwise and just bought it when I had the coupon at hand ) She said it like it was no biggie and it's really not because I work corporate retail and we honor retro refunds on purchases for coupons and discount codes like it's no ones business. Anyway "Avanti" rudely asked me which associate at the NY store told me this and proceeded to say that they wouldn't honor the coupon on previous purchases (I made this purchase 3 days ago). LAME. I guess refunding a customer $10 for a VIB coupon is a big deal at this small fry location and standard for the Union Square store. read more

I visited this location yesterday at 12pm. There was a lot of traffic but it wasn't overwhelming. I was looking at the First Aid Beauty tinted moisturizers, but it didn't have my shade so a girl directed me to check out Laura Mercier line. I wished I got her name but she was a doll and for her, I'll give two stars, because she asked if I had any other questions and left, as I like to shop independently. As I swatch different shades, I could not find a suitable fit. So I looked around for a team member for help, I saw one by the ABH stand who was just standing around. I politely walked over, asked her nicely if she could help me. She said sure, but told me to wait as she approaches incoming girls, and strikes up a conversation about the new line, even to the point where she's applying shadow while I am still standing there like an idiot. I look at her in complete disbelief: she did not a word, avoiding eye contact with me. My nieces ask for her name( she said it was Mel) as they could tell I was upset. She was a pretty African American girl: she look well put and her make up was very applied: but surely, make up does not conceal ugly and lack of professionalism. I understand that each team member may have an area that they overlook, Mel could have told me its not within her area of expertise, but instead she just indicated that human interaction and etiquette aren't either. I walked out spending more than I should and I feel like I should just return everything and continue my business at Ulta, as i've never had an issue there. read more

He was very knowledgeable about all the makeup he used like Milk, which is a brand from the UK, that was a new product for me. I liked there KUSH Fiber Brow Gel. All the staff were very helpful in finding products after the makeover. I highly recommend Sephora KOP. read more

Granted, it can be a challenge to hunt down an associate on a busy weekend, but I always have someone greeting me and those who have helped me choose new products have been knowledgeable and helpful. I buy most of my beauty products at Sephora (skincare and cosmetics), and I find their collection to be good. Although I don't buy fragrances often, it seems their collection is rather small. She walked away and we stood there for five minutes. We began looking again and she walked up and said something snarky. We said we will be talking to a manager because she was so rude. I hate going all the way out to KOP for makeup but sometimes it just can't be helped. The small Sephora setup in JC Penny is great, though. They have all the essentials and it's not as crowded as the larger store. I stopped in just yesterday to get some new foundation. The woman there helped me match my shade and asked me lots of questions about my skincare routine in order to help me out, which was great because I'm a CAD tech, not a makeup artist, and I have no idea what I'm doing. We tried out some great moisturizers and primers and foundations, and although I couldn't afford to buy them all right then, I'll probably go back and pick up some of those products. The woman at the store even gave me some samples, and wrote down what they all were so I could stop in and grab them later. Awesome! I wish I could remember her name, honestly. I need to elaborate on her for a minute. She was the only one running the place and flawlessly helped me address my skin care and makeup needs while simultaneously answering questions from other shoppers and helping them find things - amazing. Working in retail is brutal, and I respect retail workers, and this woman went above and beyond. I walked out with a great foundation and the last bottle of Urban Decay All Nighter spray. I made an appointment to get my make up done at this Sephora location, and Mel B was my artist - she was AMAZING. She did exactly what I had hoped for and more. I never felt more confident during my night out. UGH! I think I might have to break up with Sephora after this experience. I shop at Sephora a lot, almost embarrassingly so. So when I saw that this store had beauty classes I signed up for the Correct&Color class with the quickness. What could be better than playing in makeup you don't have to pay for? I got confirmation the day before via email that I was still enrolled in the class, but much to my surprise when I showed up at Sephora for the class, they informed me that they had given my seat away and therefore didn't have a chair for me. Umm...what? Scuse me? "Why yes" the sales associate said, "we called to confirm your attendance and you didn't answer or call back so we gave your seat away." Y'all, I have 0 missed calls from this Sephora and nary a voicemail either, because I would've surely called them back. Besides if they had un-enrolled me I would've gotten an email confirmation of this, but I didn't. I got a confirmation that I was still enrolled 24hrs before the class. I'm not the type to make a scene at store so I just left. Literally 5 minutes after I leave the store I get an email from the Sephora saying that "due to unforeseen circumstances" I had been un-enrolled from the class. That would have been really nice to know before I drove 30 minutes and woke up early on a weekend to come to this class. My guess is that the associate I talked to un-enrolled me while I was in the store instead of before they gave my seat away. For this extremely terrible and unprofessional customer service Sephora at KOP you get 0 stars, but Yelp made me give you one to write a review. Aside from this incident, the other times I've come here I've been improperly matched for many make up products. The sales associates seem to have difficulty working with darker complexions. FYI for the melanin rich just try and find a person of color to help you or just take a picture of yourself with your phone with flash to make sure it looks good before you purchase. Another option is to just ask for samples I think you can get 3 samples from each department(Beauty, Fragrance, and Skincare). read more

Someone is always excited to help me look at whatever I am looking for and do their best to answer all my questions.
