If I could rate this specific location a 0, I would. Today I went into the closest actual Sephora to me which is about 45 minutes away from where I currently live, I normally love going to Sephora as makeup is one of my favorite hobbies, but today was very different. I was profiled all throughout my visit in the store. I am a grown adult woman, although I may look young I am well into my 20's and have a high paying job which is the reason I can shop the way I do. I walked into the store to browse and get about 4-5 items that I needed to restock on, but as soon as I walked into the store I was handed a basket and bombarded with questions. Normally, this would be fine as I do have many questions on occasion, but this time I was followed around the store. I went to each different gondola to look for my products, and each time I was followed by the same 2 women. Specifically, the tall, brown haired lady. I tested my theory with my great friend and colleague to see if I was actually being followed, and every section of the store that I went to, she suddenly appeared right next to me, pretending to look at products. I was never given a moment of peace during my shopping experience and I was very unhappy by the end. Mind you, I often go to this Sephora and spend PLENTY of money there. On this specific occasion, I spent about $200!!!!! I am a loyal and returning customer who poses no issues while I shop, and I certainly would NEVER stoop to the same level as a disgraceful shoplifter! I'm tired of being profiled due to my age, when I probably make more money than your own employees!!! I mean no shame to the very kind employee that helped me during my visit, only to those that followed me and watched me the entire time I was trying to peacefully shop. I have been going to this Sephora for years since until recently it was one of the only make up stores in my area. Some visits have been better than other for the following reasons. They do not keep their makeup well stocked or organized. The store is very small and fills up quickly with people, which makes it really hard to get a stroller through the store. Finally it depends on who's working whether or not you are going to get an employee without an attitude. I've gone in there and the minute I walk in I am greeted and offered assistance and I've also gone in there at times where it's hard to even find an employee to help you or one without an attitude. read more

Today I screamed at my mother in Sephora . Ok, not at her . . . TO her. My hands were full (two products, an empty water bottle, and a sample) while at the same time, I was hopelessly poking two q-tips of eyeshadow around my eye ... trying to imitate the model's makeup in the Urban Decay poster .. so my mom is across the aisle looking at me with big frown/look of disgust ... so I scream "This place was created by the devil, to rob all my money !!" It's true though... this is one of my biggest weaknesses .. behind TCBY and sushi-go-rounds (kaiten sushi) ... You see, this is where you go to get all that COOL make up that you can't find at the drugstore. The place where you can try on bright TEAL eyeliner and sparkle-ly hot pink lipstick and think it actually LOOKS GOOD ... until your mom walks across the aisle and tells you..... ''you look like a prostitute'' ;- i damn it MOM, this is where I come to dream .... and compared to some of the staff, with multi-colored hair extensions and 10 layers of make up ... I look pretty darn good! it's not like I would wear this kind of get up to church .... maybe if we went to one of those cool urban youth churches or well, the Unitarian church downtown ..... this kind of make up IS FOR going to the martini bars at 9pm with your girlfriends or clubbing or going to the movie premier of Transformers 5 OR ... wait what is that you say .... I went here last night to try and redeem a coupon I received. I waited in line to talk to a lady and when one got free, she said that I would have to wait to talk to the other lady who was gabbing away with another customer. I waited for her to be done, but it was taking too long so I walked out. The store is gorgeous though and they have really good products. I just wasn't pleased with the service I got. read more

Well, not me, but my girlfriend likes it, say's it's a great place has lots of stuff, of course I get roped in to browsing around with her, lots of "try me" nail polish and creames if you wanna see whats up, and they have those Sephora ladies to sit you in their chair and try out some make up. My GF says that those Sephora ladies, while they are nice have WAY too much make up caked on tho, but if you need Sephora products, you can go here, or return stuff you bought online, she got a liner that leaked mailed to her, and she just returned it here (with receipt). read more

The employees are always really nice and willing to help every time I'm there. They are nice enough to open drawers to check if they have extra products that maybe aren't shelved if they run out (which is possibly an annoyance, but they never seem upset about it :3 ) I love Sephora products in general! Beware lol! You may walk out of the store spending over a hundred dollars because it's heaven in there :D! They are always super willing to sample something on you, do your makeup, or send you home with some free samples if you ask of something you're eyeing up in the store. There's one lady in there that's slightly annoying because she can get a little too overly-persistent (unless she has to), but it doesn't bother me enough to lower the rating lol. There are some products that I will always go back to if I have the money because they are huge game-changers! This is my go-to Sephora store location unless I'm at King of Prussia haha. EMPLOYEES ACCUSED ME OF STEALING ! I went in the store today to look at some fragrances and while looking at them I was approached by a worker who handed my a very dirty makeup bag or something and said to me "this is for your Versace eros" and I was super confused and just stared and was like what? And she just repeated herself and rudely walked away. 20 seconds later a different worker comes over and takes the bag and says "can I have my Versace Eros Back" again, I was very confused? I finally realized she was accusing my of stealing. I told her I did not take anything and she can check my pockets (I didn't have a bag or anything) she looking and probably feeling stupid said "oh well then if you didn't take anything then ok" and didn't apologize or anything just walked away. I found the way they acted about this, being rude and sarcastic towards me and not apologizing to be extremely unprofessional and poor quality workers. Not only was I offended if stealing in general.. but stealing Versace Eros? Please, I would have at least taken the Chanel or Tom Ford. Not, Versace. Anyways.. I will NOT be shopping here ever again. When trying to confront the original worker who handed me the nasty bag, I couldn't find her as 95% of the employees were white and blonde. So there's that. read more

I was shopping for wedding things with my best friend one afternoon when we decided to pop into Sephora to see about some makeup. I ended up getting my makeup done and bought a ton of stuff so I had the perfect items for my wedding. The staff was pleasant and she got everything for me so I didn't have to hunt the store trying to find it all. I'm a ROUGE member and spent over $2000 in Sephora a year and most of them at Lancaster store. Sometimes when I buy so many products like this, I always have some products I don't like as much as I was in store, and it's not necessary to keep those because I have a lot of beauty products and they are not cheap. Sephora has a 60days return policy, so I will return the products I don't really enjoy back to the store. But today, the employee at the check out make it looks like I did something wrong with returning the products!! She was giving me the LOOK! You know, when somebody is giving you an attitude, you will notice and feel bad. It pretty much ruined my experience at Sephora at all. I will probably not be going back to Lancaster store again, it really disappointed me today. My sister and I stopped by this store to check out the mascara. I was trying out one of the samples on display and I asked my sister to hold the original cap/wand while I used one of the disposable wands. An employee then rushed over to us, NOT TO HELP, but to yell at us that we can't use the original wand and we HAVE TO use the disposable ones. I told him that I WAS using a disposable one. He then proceeded to accuse my sister of trying to use the original mascara wand. She was NOT. She was only HOLDING it for me. The employee then walked away without saying a word. Not even a "sorry." My sister and I were both disgusted with the customer service when we left the store. I want to like Sephora, but I probably won't be back anytime soon due to this terrible experience. Most of the time this Sephora never gives me any problems and I am able to find whatever it is I want right away. I am a VIB member there so I spend pretty much money while I am in there. Yesterday I came across the bitchiest worker while checking out. She didn't look "happy" at all to be there and I felt like a nuisance for even being in her line. She made it seem like she had better things to do. Before we swiped our card it was a chip so I thought you inserted it and she rudely interrupted by saying "SWIPE". Not every place uses the chip.. I get it, but you don't have to be a complete bitch and say it in that type of tone. She then proceeded to look at her coworker and laugh as if it were some kind of joke. I wish I had her name because someone like that does not deserve to be the face of Sephora employees. Not only that but her makeup wasn't even that good either, haha.
