The customer service in the Park Meadows store is lacking. I don't care if I can pull something off of the shelf, but if I need help it's very difficult to get the sales staff's attention. Most recently I waited patiently while the salesperson helped another customer; when she was finished she looked "through" me and walked away while I am standing right there waiting for assistance. This has happened before so I find myself shopping at Sephora a lot less often. read more

This store, inside JC Penney, isn't huge. But they have a curated selection of makeup and skincare. They were, however, out of the Philip Thomas Roth eye stuff that I have been chasing for months. Arrrgggh. Laurel helped me find a different anti-puff eye product, and when I mentioned that I hate it when eyeliner smears, picked up a KVD tattoo pen, drew on her hand, and rubbed it. It. Did. Not. Smear!!! She says that it dries super fast. This is a pen, not a pencil, though. I appreciated Laurel's knowledge of the products. She was sweet and very helpful. read more

I was blown away how rude the staff was when I came in to get products for my wife, some lady named Mariam made me feel so unwelcome when I asked for assistance, I work in retail and would never treat costumers the way she made me feel. However there was a girl named Brittney who was very sweet as they tried to help me but I already felt very uncomfortable at this point, I know it's a busy time of year and can be stressful at times but it cost nothing to be nice, I hope to have better luck at Ulta. read more

I love Sephora in general. This location being in a mall makes it crazy busy and full of kids. I typically try to just order online and pick up so I don't have to deal with the craziness. My last visit picking up an order was not great. While I was waiting to be helped a girl was just standing around very obviously texting and smiling at her phone. I usually don't care about phones in the work place but she was literally standing at the order pickup spot just texting and then telling everyone she needed someone to get my order because she did not have the work phone devices... I've never seen anyone do that before so it just caught be totally off guard. read more

The first time I went to the Sephora it was an average experience. The last two times I was there, however, have been awful. On visit two, I got bounced around a few people. Eventually, I ended up working with this person. I specifically told them that I wanted clean products. They picked grab some products and said this is what you're going need etc. so I trusted his word and brought them home. I know the onus was on me to double check before purchasing, but I didn't and they were indeed not clean. If I ask for clean products, I expect these folks to recommend clean products. I'm not sure what the breakdown of communication was there because I was very specific. On my third visit (and now the last visit to the store), I needed to return a face wash that produced a reaction on my skin. At the time, I did not realize that I'd exceeded the time on their return policy. I totally understand store policies and respect them. However, two things happened that should never have. The first was the cashier made absolutely no effort to help me and shouted that policy at me, with a whole line of people waiting behind me. I have no issue with her clearly communicating store policy to me I told her that I understood. No problem with that part. However, I was literally standing a foot from her. I don't know why she felt the need to shout at me. She told me that I should call the customer service line and they might be able to help me. When I did call the customer service line with an extremely long wait, the woman on the phone said that they should've help me at the store because I've had a reaction to the product. Not only was I shouted at, it was a huge time waster. As a person who has worked in retail, customer, service, etc. I find the pervasive lack of actual customer service and the negative attitude of the staff pretty objectionable. Absolutely terrible customer service and after reading some of the other reviews here it is clear it's not just my perception. It seems to be an issue at this particular store. read more

I became a fan of Sephora when I lived on the east coast. While Ulta is seemingly the same business model, it doesn't have the same vibe as Sephora. I have never had anything less then superb service and the section of beauty supplies is unmatched. It is place you can get lost in for hours - and I am not even girl that wears a lot of makeup. My favorite and local Sephora !!! I literally go into Sephora weekly if not every 2 weeks, I'm obsessed with make up and love buying And trying new products ! The workers are all very friendly in this location and very knowledgeable of the products !! Was helped out by the sweetest associate! I asked for her name and got it on the receipt, it's either Fiorella or Fiovella, I should've asked before I left. She greeted me and asked what I was looking for, showed me the brand area and then asked what product. Afterwards I grabbed her again and asked for another product recommendation all while she listened to me go on and on about what I like using and what I've tried that I didn't like... she was super attentive and recommended 2 new products that I purchased and can't wait to try! read more

Cool place to look around even for men. One of my friends likes to try out new colognes and this is where he goes. The people here pay attention to the women more because... well, more than 90% of the store is makeup and skincare. For that small 10% or so, there is a cologne section and they even give free samples. Spraying a cologne on a card will only get you so far. You have to see how it melts with your body...same goes for perfume. The girl who helped me bottle up 3 samples was cool and down to earth. The taller blonde/brunette, not so much. She used the counter as a force field so I ignored her until the other girl came to help. I'll be back to get cologne. I just need time to decide! read more

We got some pretty great service from Cilver, a girl who had stunning makeup and even had me shy away from trying out the lashes she was offering me up on. They did run out of my favorite Bare Minerals Lipstick (XOXO) and she made the situation better by letting me know of a second Sephora located at JC PENNEY just across the hall. Two Sephoras in one are always the best. They had some wonderful sales at the times for the holidays: $8.00 for Tarte Lipsticks for darker shades and they also had my favorite beauty blenders on sale. I had a bummer of a day today, and man did I look it. I stopped into this Sephora to see if I could find some lipstick redemption. I was ignored by the first two girls I encountered, the third person was a sweet guy stocking near where I was looking. He promptly asked how I was and how my Valentine's Day was - we chatted and he took time to make me laugh and promptly talked me into the lipstick I was debating. The guy who checked me out signed me up for whatever Sephora's points program is and was also very charming and engaged. I was diagnosed with a Sephora addiction a couple years back. I'm proud to say I've been Sephora-free for a year (while I was away in a foreign country that didn't have Sephora stores), but this place is where the madness began. This ever-so-convenient location inside the Park Meadows Mall was the bane of my after-work existence. I would find myself roaming the aisles, impulsively grabbing little tubes of lip gloss and stroking eye shadow palettes that I most certainly did not need but had to have. As for the employees, I recognized a few here and there. There was a cheery brunette who was always super helpful when it came to finding the right skin products for my prone-to-redness oily skin. She was so nice I actually made the effort to go to the link they tell you about on your receipt to enter her name in because apparently they don't get acknowledgment otherwise. As with most stores there have been a few unhelpful, snobbish clerks who seem to think the best way to advertise the store's products is to pile it all onto their faces and that ignoring the customers promotes good service. Even so, I've always found someone helpful, whether it be to help me pick the right foundation or recommend products. read more

The customer service at this Sephora is definitely lacking. I showed up to this store not looking my best and I had the staff look at me as if I was going to steal their merchandise. I actually love makeup and buy from Sephora every few months because I love their wide selection of cosmetics and they offer a good variety of foundations in different skin colors, but overall this Sephora has an issue with good customer service. The staff always seems to have an attitude and don't want to help. It's just like the same thing with the MAC store in this mall. It saddens me to leave a bad review. I went to Sephora today to exchange a few items I bought online. At first I had a great conversation with a very helpful Aesthetician who was working in the store. She listened and was very helpful. Then I went to check out at the Sephora Employee was so incredibly rude, I gave her items to exchange , the manner in which she spoke was off putting, then I found out I couldn't use my 15% off with my Sephora Rouge points $100 card. She then stated I have to start all over ! Like she had something better to do. I asked her for a big bag to put some shoes In and instead of putting my merchandise in a smaller bag she was putting them on top of shoes which barely fit in bag. I ended up putting products in my own bag I had! Zero personality , Zero person service, zero nicety. HELLO? You work at Sephora, your job is to be welcoming and friendly, make the customer feel special, not like an inconvenience. I would say this Store at Park Meadows needs a severe refresher course in Customer Service Training. I will avoid this store even though it's closest to me. I spend a lot of money with Sephora but from now on I'll order online and avoid the horrible service here. I wish I knew her name but they do not put on receipt. Someone used my info and disputed a charge and now I was told that I cannot buy anything with my account and am welcome to make a new account. New account for what? Don't expect to feel welcomed if you walk into Sephora without makeup. Apparently you just aren't welcomed into their little club if for ONE DAY you decide not to wear makeup. I stopped by to look into getting a new foundation which is a big deal for me because I've never paid more than $10 for a bottle of foundation. I walked in and I wasn't greeted. In fact, the whole time not a single employee acknowledge my existence. Okkkk....but that's NOT the part that made this store visit a one star experience. No, what made it so craptacular was that I literally watched all these employees emerge from out of nowhere to greet customers who of course looked better than me at the moment as they were wearing nicer clothes and had on a full face of makeup. They did everything for those customers that they wouldn't do for me. They engaged them in conversation and also helped them find what they were looking for. I don't shop here often but had a gift card and stopped in for some nail polish in a specific color. The nail polish selection is very limited and only fills an end cap at the end of an aisle. So I wasn't able to find what I needed. They have a wider variety of make-up but be prepared to for a pricey endeavor. Staff usually have to be hunted down for help when I have been in and aren't always helpful with recommendations. It's kind of hit or miss. I much prefer to shop at Nordstrom or Ulta for my cosmetics purchases due to the variety of options and customer service. read more

I just moved here from California and the Sephora that I always went to in California was amazing I was asked right away when I walked in if I needed help and most of the time I did need help. But this store has done the opposite for me. I have been about 4 times and have had no one come up and ask me if I need help and all those times I did. They could of made hundreds of dollars if someone would of helped me because I need whole new make up, but instead I left empty handed and frustrated. The store was neat and bright, but not busy to the point where employees were spread too thin. EDITED: After leaving my review I went ahead and looked through other reviews left and the number of people who have mentioned they were followed around and watched while they tried to shop is really concerning. Are all Sephora stores profiling people assuming they are going to shoplift or is it just this location? Shopping at this store is just not worth it anymore. If you come in with a return you are immediately given annoyed looks by the employees and they are not helpful whatsoever in processing returns. Sephora has a return policy for a reason and customers shouldn't be made to feel like they they are a burden for doing so. Telling a customer a return can't be processed because "your system" is having trouble pulling up the information is not good enough. Telling some you can't confirm the original form of purchase again because "your system" doesn't have the capability isn't good enough. I have a very young child and when I take my stroller in the store the employees at this store follow me and watch my stroller as if I am going to put products in it and steal from the store. It is uncomfortable to feel this way when I shop and quite honestly it is a discriminatory practice. I have never given them any reason to treat me this way, I have never stolen from their store or any store. I live, at most, about 5 minutes from the park meadows location, but I will drive any distance necessary to avoid having to feel this way when I enter the store. read more
