Rude customer service in general. As I was walking towards the open door a staff member slammed the door in my face stating that they are closed. No "we open at... this time" or "come back later"... I would like to share an experience that I had at the Lincoln rd Sephora on July 2. I made an appointment to have my makeup done..like I've done many many times before..always great ..and upon arrival the makeup artist approached me and asked what I would like done..I explained I was going to a wedding..a little bit of sparkle on the eyes..regular makeup..cause I was a guest at a wedding. She said "oh you only get blush and lipstick for $60..I said it's not my first time here..I would like a makeup application..she was very rude and said" if you don't want to pay more..it's blush and lipstick " ..I asked for a manager and a different makeup artist..I'm a fashion stylist and I get my makeup done often..I was told I would get a refund and that they couldn't accommodate me! When she wasn't working there I had terrible experiences; waited for an employee to be free and when I asked for help, that person had the nerve to turn around and APPROACH someone else, another time they dismissed me once they give me one product to try out, and another time they had to ask everyone. I just left everytime, frustated. So now I just look through their window and see if she's working to purchase or else I'm going to have problems again. Can't believe I'm the first to review this Sephora located on the bustling Lincoln Road. I'll admit that I'm not a frequent Sephora shopper anymore because drugstore makeup has really upped its game in recent years and I've realized I don't need to spend a boatload to achieve a look that could rival any YouTube tutorial. However, I was on the hunt for a new non-liquid foundation and had heard good things about the Makeup Forever Matte Velvet Skin Blurring Powder Foundation. I was already on the beach and decided to pop on in. If you're not already shopping or strolling down Lincoln Road it can be a bit of a mission to find convenient parking. Thankfully we were not in a rush and were enjoying a leisurely Saturday stroll in between rain showers. The Makeup Forever display was well-stocked and organized. I've never found Sephora employees to be particularly helpful but on this day one of them happened to go above and beyond. I was trying to select a shade, never an easy task since my complexion is hard to match exactly. I also always insist on seeing how it looks in day/sunlight, i.e. the lighting of truth. She tested two shades on my face and neck and I told her that I was just going to dash outside quickly to see how I felt, expecting her to stay in the store or wait for me to come back, but no, she grabbed a mirror and headed on out there with me. This was definitely unexpected and pleasantly surprising. I also love that Sephora has such a huge selection of travel and trial sized items. There was another shampoo/conditioner I wanted to try from Briogeo and buying the smaller item allows you to see if you like a product before committing to it. I was also able to find a natural deodorant that made the Allure Reader's Choice. All in all, successful Sephora trip! Every time I go to this location, I am BOMBARDED with employees asking me if I want a basket. I rarely buy more than 2 or 3 small things, and in the era of COVID, am not enthused by the idea of carrying around one as they are dirty and used. This time, after I picked up a mascara and a moisturizer, I was asked by 3 separate employees if I wanted a basket. "No thank you," I said each time. Finally, an employee came up to me and just handed me a basket, not giving me a choice. I could not believe it. Is it because I was dressed in a wrinkly shirt and they thought I was stealing...? This literally happens every time I go in. I spend a few hundred dollars here every month. And they continue to do an excellent job of making me feel uncomfortable. read more

I have an important meeting so I drove 20 mins to this location because I needed makeup last minute and you guys let me down. I had a great experience here! I was flying down for NY for a wedding in Miami. I made an appt via their website and got to my appt 1 minute after 2pm because parking in this area was a little difficult. I got seated right away and waited a little for my artist to meet with me. The head artist checked in with me and was attentive. Then I met with Fiona! I loved her! Her make up looked like my style--natural and pretty, so I knew I was in good hands. I showed her a picture of my inspiration and she went with it. I let her do her thing and it came out beautiful! She helped my vision become a reality.
