I've had horrible experiences at this location, primarily because of a male employee who is extremely condescending and awful to deal with. I don't know his name but I believe he is the manager. I've shared my negative experiences with him while checking out; he was snarky, condescending, and dismissive of feedback. If a customer shares legitimate feedback, maybe you should listen and improve. But clearly these people don't care. Everyone should take their business elsewhere! read more

This was the most unfriendly Sephora I have ever been in, and that's saying something coming from a hustling and bustling city. I was in town visiting family and wanted to take advantage of the black Friday pricing so decided to go to the local Sephora to see if they had stock. Initially was greeted then had to walk around the whole store twice to find what I needed. Nobody came up to me to ask if I needed help. I was looking for a certain shade of foundation and had to look for someone for help. I overhear the same person that greeted me asking another group of shoppers if they needed anything. So I turn around and lock eyes with her saying excuse me. Instead of meeting me halfway, I have to walk all the way over with her with her giving me an exasperated look for having to help me. She seemed disgruntled while I was talking her. The saving grace was the person ringing me up had a cheery and helpful demeanor. read more

Maybe they've had theft problems here but your regular, paying customers don't want to be followed around like it's assumed they're trying to steal stuff. This was the WORST Sephora I've ever been to. I usually love Sephora. I came in and a man greeted me at the door. He was super friendly and he deserves my full star. I was just looking to get a little perfume sample and maybe look at some skin care products but I couldn't help but feel uncomfortable the entire time. I am a Sephora VIB member. I buy nearly all of my products at Sephora. Of course, the employees don't know that when you walk in the door. Today was a shocking experience. Staff members were quickly dismissive. When I asked about a product, the response was "oh. I think that might be here or over there (pointing fingers in several areas)." I saw a product and asked how it compares with the similar Sephora line product the response was "oh it doesn't. You really should prepare to spend at least $45 on a quality foundation." 2 stars instead of 1 because one employee was helpful. The other employees? I've seen them there for years. One time, man. Two time, what? Again? Three time, that's it! Enough is enough! I don't know what is wrong with employees here, but they think all teens steal things! How they talk to teens are beyond rude! Accusing stealing is even worse! They follow teens, not great customer service, or this lady today told my teen and her friends "Just making sure you are paying for everything that's in your hand." Who says that! Next time if my teens girls have to Sephora, I'll make sure they'll record how the employees treat teens. They weren't mean to just my girls. I hate going to Sephora more than anything. Usually the service sucks, I feel super judged b/c I don't have makeup on and overall just feel like I'm wasting space. THIS. WAS. NOT. THE. CASE. I needed a color match for a tinted moisturizer (COVID shut in for a year totally changed my color). This lady was so nice! She helped me find my shade with ease and abided by COVID protocols. It was also nice to see the diversity at this location - especially age difference, LOVE IT! Usually these stores are filled with early 20's who are new and don't get that I don't want to wear a pound of makeup. I was here a couple of months ago to get my brows done. I wish I could remember her name, but whoever it was that did them did a fantastic job, and checked in with me throughout the waxing and trimming process to make sure they were being done to my liking. I did have to wander around the store for quite a while waiting for my appointment though and not a single staff member asked me if I needed assistance. I had to go up to someone after waiting a while and remind them that I had an appointment. read more

All of the employees at this location are so helpful, and very knowledgeable. They help me out with makeup, hair, and even skincare. I'm sickened by my experience with this particular establishment. My 12 year old daughter and friends were in the store looking to buy makeup with birthday money etc (which they did by the way), excited to try new products , etc. and we're quickly targeted as thieves. It wasn't until they left that they realized they were being followed from this store continuing to the next. It not only scared my daughter but made her feel awful. I will never return. I was on premise as well giving them a little independence to go to the store. After reading other reviews this seems to be a common theme. read more

This is the perfect location if you are into makeup, more than half the store is dedicated to it. I'm more of a skincare gal and I was disappointed at the selection. They didn't have La Mer even though technically premises are in a luxury shopping mall. And the variety of brands was lackluster. In comparison, the Washington Square Mall is smaller but has better stock. I also noticed a lot of unused floor space in the front that made the store look too sparse. read more

Such a smooth shopping experience! They're very thorough about how they show products (since you can't swatch them). The only thing the applicators even touch is a tissue so even the samplers are germ free. I was helped by Sue who was the sweeeetest! She's so kind and genuinely excited about the products in store. Super patient too. Sanitizer is everywhere, you don't have to worry about other people touching products, and you get your own personal shopping buddy. I'm really disappointed about what happened at this Sephora location... I decided to treat my wife and I to a girl's date at Sephora and splurge. We were both so excited. We came into the store an hour before closing and began shopping. The staff were not concerned with helping us, but rather with closing the store down so they could go home. I received little help even though I desperately needed it. Around closing time, I was trying to grab just a few more items and was reminded repeatedly that they were closing. Don't get me wrong, I understood -- but my wife and I clearly had thousands of dollars worth of products, so maybe it was worth giving us another minute or two. Not the case. We were basically pushed out of the door after being rushed through the checkout process, despite having spent so much money there. Had my wife not been with me, I would have just left the stuff at the counter and gone elsewhere, but she would have been so disappointed. Will not be coming back to this location. read more

I am extremely disappointed. Simply the worst customer service i have ever received. It's a shame that my daughter cannot walk into this store without being claimed as a "thief" for simply looking around trying to find a simple product that she has wanted for a while. My daughter was accused of being a thief today when an employee walked up to her while she was shopping and asked her where the product had gone, when my daughter replied with "product?" knowing she hadn't taken anything the employee shook the box and there the product was inside the entire time. The employee simply said "oh" and walked away. She was being starred down like a hawk and targeted. This is unacceptable, and no kid should ever experience this ever. Walking away after accusing a minor of stealing? and being proven wrong? Alyssa at the tualatin tigard location that works around 7 PM should feel ashamed. My daughter went back into the store after feeling incredibly awful, and talked to the manager about her awful experience insisting on getting a name for this horrible action. On another note my daughter had walked in with two other friends, which were white and my daughter is not. Was this racially motivated? Her two friends were not once checked in on. My daughter on the other hand had 3 employees on her at once. What was she doing wrong? looking at products to see which one suits her eyebrows best? she was targeted. and this is very upsetting. Came to pick up a new Melt cosmetics palette put on hold by my fiance. My birthday just passed this December so I asked if I could also get my annual Birthday gift. The male clerk said because I didn't get it in December I couldn't and also that it is the new year. My birthday is in December why does the new year matter? The way he said it made it seem like he was very irritated by me even asking and made me feel stupid... I feel like maybe I should have a follow up on this. But I happened to go into this store because they had availability for a free makeover appointment on the day I wanted. 1. First time I've ever been greeted when I walked into a Sephora and actually helped. I was so taken aback by how genuinely nice the greeter was 2. Joanna the makeup artist was AMAZING. This was honestly such an amazing experience! I had the pleasure of having Sage do my makeover, and she was absolutely amazing. She took the time to listen to what I needed and I found the exact products that work so well for me. I ended up buying just about everything she used on my face including the brushes! Sage was absolutely amazing, and the conversation was wonderful. We arrived early, so the sales associates on the floor were just as friendly and welcoming while we waited for my appointment. While doing the makeover, I felt that I wanted more blush and asked Sage her opinion, and she was completely accommodating even willing to go out and get me a darker shade. When I told her everything I wanted she went around the store and picked it all up for me! She even checked me out at the counter where she did my makeover! Although, there was one employee who was watching us and following us from the entire time we entered the store. I visited this store locations with a group of friends. Upon our arrival, one employee began following us up and down each isle as we looked at makeup, staring at us with narrowed eyes. She asked us as many of four times what we were doing. At one point she insisted on watching as I applied eyeshadow on a friend to make sure we were being 'sanitary'. She then walked over to two other employees, pointed at us and the three of them proceeded to follow us around the store. We felt awkward and saddened that we were the only customers being treated as such and watched so closely. All we were doing was testing out makeup shades and looking around. We all felt like the employees believed that we were going to steal and finally we all decided that we were all too uncomfortable to stay in the store, and proceeded to leave. We were all deeply upset by this situation and although I had positive experiences with Sephora in the past, I will not visit a location again. read more
