Love practicing and recording with these guys! I've been coming with different bands since about 2018. The new location is a big improvement over the last one. Brand new, isolated A/C units for each individual room. Tube equipment. And if you want they'll record your practice session and send you what you did at the end of the night for free. My band 3iDragon records drums and vocals here and we've never been disappointed. The owner Shane and his staff are the most down to earth and experienced people we've ever worked with. Bad gear, bad prices, rips off musicians. Worth driving to Scottsdale for the music loft. Highly recommend not supporting these jerks!

This place is really spacious and clean. The mixer, speakers and provided amps in our room were all high end and in good condition. Prices are comparable to any other hourly practice spot in town, but this place is way nicer. Lastly, the restroom is large, clean and had soap, TP and paper towels. The facility is honestly really cool. Rooms are big but the front guy was pretentious and very awkward to deal with. I called before coming and he said it was a $50 fee for a FULLY equipped drum set room I was reserving. I got to there and there was an up charge for everything. It would've been nice to know what I was actually going to pay beforehand. The symbols that were provided to me were also all cracked. Super disappointed. read more

Shane is so wonderful! I called in an hour before getting to the studio, he accomodated me and did the recoding, mixing and mastering of my piece. I cannot thank him enough!! He came in the next morning as well and he was glad to be of help. He even recommended Kolby who did an amazing job with the video clip who also delivered it in less than a day!!! My band has been rehearsing here for over a year, and we love it. We used to rehearse at Musician's Choice--a dive in Tempe where the equipment doesn't work and the guy at the front is too distracted by porn and pot to be bothered to assist with it. At SER, everyone is helpful and incredibly nice. The studios are clean, the air conditioners feel great, and best of all, the equipment WORKS. The pricing is also fantastic, especially if you schedule on a weekend or weekdays from 11 am - 5 pm, when they have special rates half those of the regular rates. We've also recorded here, and, while things went smoothly and the end result sounded great, we haven't recorded anywhere else except our garage, so I can't fairly rate that. But I can say we'll be back! SER is open seven days a week. They also except credit/debit cards, so you don't have to run to an ATM to pay for a session (I'm looking at you, Musician's Choice!). The location can be hard to find the first time you go, but just print off some directions and you'll be good to go. read more

There isn't really a rage room in this metropolitan area. So the next best thing to do is grab a few instruments with some friends and make some noise for a few hours to exorcise whatever demons rage within. This here SER Soundworks rehearsal studios is a great place to do that. Very good rates - especially on the weekends. Decent amps and PA - can't speak for the drums because I don't know what to do with those things anyway but you gotta bring your own sticks and cymbals other than the hi-hat. Bummer if you're one of those Neil Peart wankers needing a gazillion drums because they just provide a really basic kit. Microphones also provided as long as you check in your ID at the front desk while you use them. Pretty easy to find on the north side of Corporate place about six buildings down from Arizona avenue. You might have to drop breadcrumbs for some of the more challenged folks in your group to find it though - I had to stand on Corporate place and wave to our drummer because, um... well, drummers... Anyway awesome place. Your mileage may vary. read more

This is the best rehearsal space in Arizona. It's very clean and well-kept. The rooms range from small to large and have really nice equipment to use so you don't have to cart around your own amps or drums. Each room also has it's own climate control. The recording services are awesome as well. Josh worked with us during recording and even gave us some of his own suggestions on some of our songs. At the time, our band didn't have a bass player, so one of the employees, Jimmy, actually tracked the bass parts for us and it was awesome. The mastering turned out really good and we were very satisfied with the recordings when they were done. I prefer to use the recording space as a rehearsal space if they let you when it isn't booked, mostly because the EVH 5150 amp in there is amazing. The prices are really good too, especially if everyone in the band chips in. We typically would bring our own amp heads and hook them up to the cabs, our singer would bring his own mic (though they have them to borrow), but drummers bring your own cymbals. All other equipment is already there. read more

Wow... I've never enjoyed my boyfreind's band practices this much! It's like they set the place up with not only bands in mind, but their girlfriends too. He got to play on what I guess was some really amazing gear, and us girls got to sit in a nice little den and read the magazines (they actually had GIRL magazines!) and watch some TV on their really big screen. We all left really happy, and with 5 guys pitching in, it didn't cost hardly anything! Girls, if your guy is in a band, you need to come here. They have a great time and we don't leave deaf lol. read more
