Outstanding little bakery in Salina! We stopped by Seraphim for breakfast on a road trip to Denver and are so excited to have found this hidden gem. Service was quick and friendly. The bakery is relatively small and casual, with a lot of open seating. First, we tried a cinnamon bun, which was amazing! Perfect level of sweetness, cinnamon flavor, and soft, pillowy interior that melts in your mouth. We also ordered the egg sandwich and avocado toast - both were delicious. I loved that the avocado toast came with beet hummus and a bunch of veggies. Seraphim brews Salina-local Blacksmith coffee, and the cold brew I ordered was excellent, although they only offer cow milk (no non-dairy options). I've been to new location four times. Each time has been disappointing. They are decidedly non interested in customer service. And the food always lacks something. Their soups are fine but never hot. They don't serve any bread with the soup. They refuse to carry diet soda. They won't do half a sandwich with soup or salad. The grilled cheese was neither grilled nor had enough cheese to cover the bread. Their hand pie pastry is tough. It's sad because it is a cute place with lots of potential. read more

Had lunch here for the first time. Tried the cranberry Turkey club and the pimento. Both sandwiches were very very meh. The club had a tiny little piece of turkey and a mountain of arugula. It really wasn't very good. My wife ate half of the pimento sandwich and threw the rest away. On top of not being very good, the prices were totally wack. Way too expensive for what they're serving. The entrance was hard to find but thankfully a passerby heard our gps and pointed us in the right direction! Stopped here during a road trip, and was so pleased to have found this option! Traversing through Kansas, we worried about finding healthy, vegetarian-friendly options but Seraphim provided exactly that. We were shocked that they had 2 vegetarian sandwich items; I loved the Provençal. It was filled with marinated veggies and exactly what I was craving after eating out all week. My boyfriend loved the tomato melt. While the sandwich fillings were delectable, the bread is what really made it delicious. We also grabbed a cornmeal biscuit to go and thought it was really tasty, but it was missing some sort of spread or dip to go with it. The service was super friendly as well, and we enjoyed seeing the use of compostable plastic-ware. read more

We went in this morning after I saw here that they had orange rolls!! I think the stop was worth it. We got two orange rolls, a pumpkin cream cheese muffin, and a Scotch Roll. On the menu, it said the scotch roll was egg and sausage on a maple bread roll, but it was literally a scotch egg in a bread roll (a boiled egg wrapped in sausage wrapped in bread) . My husband said it was okay, just not exactly what he expected. I enjoyed the orange roll and the pumpkin muffin. Other things on the menu looked really good as well! The only weird thing about this place is that neither of the people in the bakery wore masks and it's a very small space. In the age of COVID, anyone working with food should be covering their face. read more

Yum. I wish I lived here because I'd just make it a goal to eat everything on the menu and become a regular. I got the scotch egg pie and my Hubby got the house smoked pastrami. We switch plates half way through to share and I'm so glad we did- man, that pastrami is good. Swiss kraut is sweeter than traditional and it was very good paired with their rye. I can't wait to try whatever hand pie is fresh that day- because can you go wrong with that?! It was delicious. Oh! Delicious and fresh baked goods. Tried a Bierock, a local specialty they said was traditional German-American (I am 100% German-American & never heard of such a thing, or seen it in Germany either). Wherever it comes from, it was a soft, fresh bun stuffed with savory, succulent pork. Sort of like a Vietnamese pork bun, but with better dough. Great find on our way through Salinas. Wanted a cinnamon roll for breakfast and got a hit on Yelp for Seraphim Bread. We had cinnamon roll, Orange roll and a Croque Monsieur. Everything was excellent. The bakers is at the side of a building off the main road and we passed by twice before getting out to look. Glad we found it as we enjoyed everything we ordered. read more

I've purchased bread from Seraphim a number of times. The breads (many different kinds) are great and the variety makes it fun. Fresh and hot right from the oven. Today (Admin Assistants Day) I picked up a dozen fantastic cinnamon rolls. I came in at 7am on the dot and the owner was putting the finishing touches on my order. Deelishus! Big hit!
