However, it resulted in a serious knee injury that later required surgery. I had a very difficult recovery. The latest surgery was the second I had on my right knee. I was unable to walk for months. I used a cane for months. It was the absolute worst. I could not walk. I could not climb stairs without significant pain. I was at the end of my rope. I was going to physical therapy three times a week. Still no results... But then... While on business in the Boulder area. I met Tyler and her healing gifts. I had a total of three treatments from her. I was skeptical at first, but I felt much better after the first treatment. I then came in for my second treatment and I noticed I was using my cane less. By the third treatment, although I still had pain I was soon able to climb a stair. Ok, I know what you are thinking: you climbed a stair... big whoop... Well Chata! You have to understand, I could not support myself without assistance. My swelling was substantially less and the resulting pain was reduced by at least half. I'm not sure I could distinguish qi from tai chi when I walked in. Kandace is so patient and explains exactly what meridian she's working on and why (that is, if you wanna know!). Not once did Kandace judge me for mixing Western medicine (i.e. drugs) - namely a round of oral steroids which got me through some acute neuritic pain. She was even patient with me after I came in asking her to poke two specific points that some Indian acupuncturist used to cure frozen shoulder in 1 minute! Yes, one minute - perhaps the arm pain was referring to the brain.
