I went with some family to look for records so my experience is more for the records side. The overall space is huge. I feel like it was at some point a big box retail store that was converted. The folks here are friendly and helpful and the selection and prices are great and are pretty much in line with market if not slightly lower. I ended up buying a couple of new records as they got some stock on Record Store Day here as well in addition to their usual huge inventory of used (and new) records. I even got to replace an old Rolling Stones live record that I loved (and at some point lost in my own collection). There's a big parking lot and it's fairly easy to find parking. It was a little hectic when we went, only because it was on Black Friday.

During the listening party, we had a little chat. He has been in record store business in Napa for 5 plus years, he was in wine making industry previously. This record store is his passion. This current location is inside a newish building, very clean and trendy, with modern bathrooms inside the building. Parking is rather easy, there is public parking lot on the opposite side of the street. The store is kinda hidden but it is very nice. There is a little fountain, a bench on the street that is facing the building, from there you will see a standing sign leading you to the store, when I drive by the first time I couldn't catch it. It's totally cool! am pleasantly surprised when I walk in today. I can imagine during record store day, if there is long line, one can still wait comfortably inside the building. I was waiting for more than 90 mins under the sun for another record store during record store day. Right on Napa will instantly make the waiting experience so much better. Will definitely come back for more in the future. Today, I found "American life" mix show mix EP, a record store day release. I also pre order all the editions that Jim will carry for Confessions II. Will come back next week to pick up. They are all reasonably priced! Jim told me he had hosted multiple listening parties before from Harry Styles to Bruno Mars and many more, as a vetted record store, he has access to these listening parties when record companies are doing promotions. Definitely check this one out. This is in downtown Napa, very chic area with walking distance to all the nice restaurants and hotels. Add this to your itinerary when you visit Napa Valley !

Once you step inside, you can see the price list on the wall across from the entrance. The store is not manned; you put any money you spend in the book slot underneath the price list. To the left of the price list is the discount area; on the far wall are media (mostly DVDs with some audio CDs), a shelf with newer releases (prices as marked) and fiction books. The opposite wall has non-fiction books, and the short far wall has children's/young adult books as well as fantasy/sci-fi. Most of the paperback novels are donations, while the hardcover books are mostly library discards. Though the room is small, there were a good variety of books, especially in the non-fiction section. I found 3 great recent baseball books and 4 fantasy paperback novels, all for only $5.00. I slid the cash into the slot and walked out very happy. I'll be sure to hit this room up the next time I visit my brother and his family!

If a book has been really popular in the last couple years, you'll probably find a few copies here. Overall, they have a pretty nice selection of all genres. Prices as of December 2015: Hardbacks $1.00, Paperbacks $0.50, Kids' Books $0.10 - $0.25. The carts outside with mass market paperbacks are on sale even cheaper, and they also usually have a box of free books sitting outside (during business hours).
