She devoted 2 hours total to talking, listening, explaining her process to you and giving you your massage. You really get all of the time you pay for she gives your massage to meet your needs. I was impressed. She did deep tissue massage in my case. Usually I cannot tolerate deep tissue, but she listened to me and was careful not to hurt me in a bad way, A really good massage hurts a bit, but should not make you so sore you cannot function the next day in my opinion. When I called in to make an appointment for the both of us, they only had one masseuse that performed the cupping so I let my husband have that appointment, and they let me do the hot bamboo instead of cupping. We arrived to our appointment and filled out the necessary paperwork, and were pretty much good to go. I wish I remembered the names of our masseuses but my husband had the male masseuse that does the cupping & a nice lady masseuse. Everything was lovely and wonderful for myself, and my husband was very happy when I saw him when were done. My husband has never had a male masseuse, I was wondering if it would be awkward but he said it wasn't and that is was amazing. I had a very frustrating and confusing experience with Orchid Massage. I called in the morning and…read morescheduled a 90-minute appointment for noon, and the woman I spoke with confirmed it. Shortly after, I received a text from an unfamiliar number saying they were busy and couldn't talk, which was already confusing since I didn't know who it was. When I asked who I was texting, the response was unclear and a bit abrupt. Eventually I realized it was the massage place, but the communication was very difficult due to the language barrier and lack of clarity. Around 11:00, I was told they could only do a 60-minute massage if I came immediately, so I adjusted my schedule and arrived early. When I got there, the therapist used Google Translate to tell me she had another client at 12:30 and implied that if I had come earlier (which was never clearly communicated), she could have done the full 90 minutes. At that point, after the confusing communication and change of plans, I decided to leave. The space itself also felt a bit off to me--it had a strong chemical cleaning smell and didn't feel particularly welcoming or relaxing. Overall, the lack of clear communication and inconsistency made this a disappointing experience. I wasn't able to receive the service I had originally booked, and the entire interaction felt disorganized.
