Overall, it was an acceptable experience. The massage was relaxing, but not as restorative as I expected. The therapist was friendly and professional, but the pressure changed during the session. I've used several different massage techs here. I go weekly. The different techs having different skills. My usual tech has recommended other techs when she thought they might be a better fit for a specific issue. The actual massage rooms are better equipped than any others that I have been in. Top of the line tables, hot or dry towels in the room and pleasantly decorated. One issue I have is they will only use their oils and other materials. My retired former tech would use Biofreeze and other treatments as needed. She also used lotion for my dry skin, sometimes with her oil for proper viscosity. read more

I was in a couples massage for myself and husband on valentines day. They made our day so special with treats, foot soak and the best massage ever! The couple that owns this place are so sweet and inviting. I've been debating making this review for over a month now. On July 6, 2023, I went to The Good Place for a massage, and I will have to say that the massage itself was probably one of the best I have ever had. I definitely felt looser and rejuvenated after! My issue, however, concerned the overall experience I had at The Good Place. When I entered the room, I was greeted by my therapist, who seemed nice enough. She was asking what brought me to Colorado, and I explained that even though I go to school in Oregon, my dad is an Air Force vet that retired in the Springs. Seemingly out of nowhere, she began to ask me questions about my family and their political preferences, mid massage. She asked whether or not my dad supported guns and uncomfortable, I responded no. She must have sensed my discomfort because she kept saying she shouldn't get "too political". Unfortunately, that was not the case. She continued by making disparaging remarks about Oregon, my other home state. Saying that there were too many liberal people and too much drug abuse, homelessness, etc. Nothing I haven't heard before. However, this was completely inappropriate conversation for a massage, and she wouldn't stop bringing these unprofessional topics up. Usually when I receive massages at other establishment, I prefer no talking at all-- let alone talk about politics. I became the most uncomfortable when the massage therapist mentioned to me that she had a background in education, but was looking to leave the industry because she only worked "in the ghetto" (South Colorado Springs) with children who "were gang affiliated". I am a Black woman. I have family members who have been affected by gang violence. This was very off-putting, offensive and honestly, borderline racist. For this establishment being a Christian massage parlor with Christian massage therapists, you would think that it would be much a less negative and judgmental environment. After all, God judges ultimately. As mentioned, I have been debating posting this now for over a month. But I feel it's necessary. You can have a faith-based business, but when your employees begin to engage in disparaging, unprofessional and offensive behavior, you need to re-examine your values as a business. It's sad that I feel uncomfortable to return, because the massage truly was nice. The overall experience, though, left me feeling like an outsider in the wrong business. read more

Great way to de-stress a long workweek. The ambiance is warm and relaxing with heated sheets, meditation music, and cozy waiting area. This was our first time visiting The Good Place. Michelle and Lynn were our therapists in this visit. I was very impressed from the beginning. The reception area was very clean and very relaxing. There was ice cold complimentary bottled water and a small display of lotions and supplements. The check-in process was very easy even as first timers. I was greeted and escorted into a room by my therapist Lynn. The room was very inviting, very cozy, and very relaxing. The background music added to the ambiance. Now let me get to the massage. Lynn targeted a spot in my shoulder that has been bothering me for a couple weeks. She has the hands and skills of a massage goddess!!! I truly cannot say enough good things about Candice, Mariya, and all the lovely people that work here. I was blessed to know them the few months that I've lived here and will miss them and their trade terribly. I had the BEST prenatal massage experience here with my first baby. Mariya was kind enough to come to my home and work through contractions with me while I moved from early to active labor during my home birth. Mariya is so knowledgeable about prenatal massage and pressure points, she made my birth experience ten times better. However- after coming into The Good Place, I'm willing to die for these people. The environment was so clean- and calm. The front desk staff was so incredibly kind, and personable. I felt instantly at home. And my masseuse. WOW. Cassidy was the only masseuse who has ever took the time to ask me what I wanted when I went back, and how I wanted it. She was extremely client oriented and caring. She addressed all my concerns and goals for the session with impeccable care.
