This is a lovely little Spa nestled in the heart of Frankenmuth. Clean and well run. We were delighted with our services. My husband selected a 90 minute massage and I had my legs waxed. Staff members are knowledgeable, efficient, and friendly. Easy to make reservations. They had lovely sitting areas and waiting rooms. We will definitely be back next time we're in town. This place is much bigger inside than it looks outside. Set inside the river place shops, walk in and there's a cute boutique of wellness items where the front desk is. At first glance it looks like just a nail salon which dominates the area behind the front desk. I was there for a couples massage and they led us past the nail salon into a door in the back where they brought us to a much quieter hallway. Beyond that Is a totally quiet reception room where you fill out your massage paperwork and meet your therapist. The place overall is very clean and cozy. Given that this is downtown Frankenmuth, the prices are a bit outrageous though expectedly so for such a touristy area. It is also the only one of its kind I believe in the whole town of Frankenmuth so alas, the expensive prices. The massage therapists were really nice except they kind of talked over each other during the initial consultation. We added hot stones. This would be a good place to gift someone a nice gift card or gift certificate. read more

I scheduled two facials to celebrate my friend's birthday. Unfortunately, she contracted COVID-19 and asked me to cancel. Serendipity would not let me cancel or reschedule because "weekends are busy and there are waitlists of people that want to come here." They were going to charge me the FULL price of the services if I rescheduled (getting paid twice for one service seems unethical), but it is their policy. I get it, but at the same time, did they want someone with COVID-19 to come in and breathe in their faces? I scrambled to find someone to come with me. The front counter made it super awkward when I checked in with someone who was not on the initial reservation. But, the ladies who did the facials were wonderful, huge shout out to Stacy and Paige. The awkwardness returned when I tried to check out. They promised 20% off of any product that you bought upon their recommendations, but then did not give it to me and in essence, overcharged me. Then it took forever for them to figure out how to refund me the money they overcharged me and had to void an entire transaction. I will not be returning to this spa, which is sad because I have been an avid supporter of it. Words of advice, be careful in booking appointments, always have a backup plan, and watch out at the checkout for overcharging. read more

I was very excited to try out this spa and drive an hour for a hot stone massage. Overpaid for my massage and never did receive the hot stones. Tried to contact the manager and was told they would work on training their staff. Ok so still I paid good money for a service that was not received. If you look at their Google reviews they and how they respond seems typical behavior of bad management. I have had many massages and this was going to be my first hot stone massage so I was very disappointed and will never visit this spa again. We booked pedicures for a treat for my birthday. The salon was very backed up due to a party arriving late. We were offered beverages and apologies for having to wait almost 45 minutes for our appointment. Alex gave me my pedicure and she did an excellent job with my foot massage and attention to detail. I did notice that unlike other salons I have gone to there was not a top coat put on or a drier for your pedicure. We had to put our shoes back on shortly after and even though my nails were checked when we got back to the hotel my big toe on both feet had smudges in the nail polish. The other person I was with did not care for the person doing their pedicure and felt they did everything perfunctorily. They even encouraged them to massage harder and the person seemed put out. read more

I will NOT go here again! I have gone several years in a row for my daughters in October. I am now done!! Beware!!! I got a foot fungus and planters warts from this place. It has been over 5 months of trying to get rid of it. I noticed a day after my feet felt weird and hoped I'd not received something from there. But I did. It was slow growing. Probably because my immune system. But then it became unbearable. O could no longer ignore it. 3 of my family also got it. From the shower. Because I NEVER go barefoot. Always wear socks accept shower. Always have. I've never had a wart or fungus. EVER!!! I had taken my 2 girls and my youngest had a pretty nice lady. But my oldest and I had ladies with NO personality. And I had to ask for water and for the cookie. I waited forever and finally just asked. It was not a pleasing experience. Then they tried to over charge us for mucked up nail art. I paid the almost $200 bill and smiled and left. I did not want to be a jerk. I know it's hard to find good people to work. After having a not-so-good massage somewhere else, I was pretty apprehensive to try it again. My mom, sister, and I were in Frankenmuth for a girl's weekend, so they persuaded me to try it. I'm so glad I did!! The spa itself is clean, with a serene atmosphere. The entire staff seemed genuinely nice and helpful. Greg was my massage therapist, and he did such an excellent job. I explained to him that the last massage I had left me feeling a little beat up, and not relaxed at all. He listened to everything I said, even when I told him about the weird spot on my back that always hurts, and I wanted him to avoid it. Greg made sure that I was relaxed and the pressure was how I wanted it. He also made sure the temperature of the hot stones was good for me, and adjusted accordingly. The music, lighting, and cleanliness of the room was all perfectly harmonious. I fell asleep a few times, which is a good thing! My mom and sister had massages and facials and were equally happy with their services as well. I will definitely be back to Serendipity whenever I'm in Frankenmuth. It was my significant other's first time and they were very nice about explaining the process to him. The massage therapists were great, friendly and professional. We felt very relaxed when we left. Really disappointed in my pedicure and the price I paid for it. The staff were cold and impersonal. My appointment started late. No one gave me any direction. I stood there in a doorway. I wear black polish and they had none. How do you not stock a basic color? Especially in the Halloween season. The room is set up like a cattle car. You are right on top of each other and there is zero privacy. As I was talking to the technician trying to find something as close to black as possible, another technician grabbed the one I was looking at out of my hand and shoved a different one in my technicians hand. Didn't even say a word. The "massage" portion of the pedicure was a joke. Zero effort, bare minimum less then a minute on each foot. Then when she did paint my nails she didn't use a base coat. So not only was it overpriced, it didn't even include basic things. It felt very rushed and incomplete. The place is a bit run down as well. Lots of chipped paint and peeling floor. Came here for a 60 minute couples massage and a 60 minute facial. We were going to be a few minutes late, so I phoned them and they were very accommodating. Upon arrival, we were greeted and shown to the waiting area to fill out some paperwork. The area we were shown to was in the middle of the hallway with two chairs. Not extremely comfortable as people were walking by constantly. Once we finished the paperwork, we were led to a room with 2 beds. We met our therapist and they explained the services. They left for a few minutes so that we could get ready. I really wish they had a locker room so that we could change into robes. The services started with a 60 minute massage. The beds were comfortable and a good temperature. My massage was pretty good with the therapist focusing on the areas of concern that I outlined on the initial form. My wife's therapist was just ok. She commented that it felt as if the therapist just kept rubbing the same spots over and over. After the massage ended, both therapist left and returned a few minutes later with the products for the facials. This is the first spa that we've been to that has done a couples facial. It was pleasant that we could spend more time together. Both facials were well done. One of the few things that we wished the did differently is to begin with the facial so that we didn't have to lay on our backs so long, as it gets a little uncomfortable. Prices are fairly decent for the services performed. With all that said, we would probably go again if we are in the area and wanted a little relaxation. read more

I'm not sure that the service was worth $90 but I guess they can ask that because I assume this location is primarily for tourists. The massage was nice because they used lotion instead of oil and it was all fall scented like apples and cinnamon. The pedicure was a little rough for my taste and there is only one brand of polish. My daughters set up a massage and pedicure for the 3 of us as a Mother's Day gift weeks in advance. We were supposed to go Thursday, May 13th and all synced up our busy calendars to make this happen. Today we get a call that they booked us for today a completely different time obviously cannot make it and they can't accommodate their mistake for at least 2 plus weeks with a time that will not work for us. We tried to just do the pedicures and of course they cannot accommodate again. They have done nothing to work to fit this in other than tell us they are booked up. This is such poor customer service. This spa management is really changed and I'm not sure if it is due to new management? I'm not sure what is going on but getting appointments correct is critical. Mistakes like this really affect more than this business seems to realize. Saddest part is nothing was offered or done to make this right. I'll have to think twice about using this venue again. What a great little place! I scheduled an appointment for my first bikini wax to prepare for an upcoming vacation, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. The ladies behind the front desk were so friendly and welcoming, and I can say the same for the esthetician. I had it ingrained in my brain that this experience would be awkward, because I would have to take off my clothes in front of a total stranger, but she was completely professional and walked me through the entire process. She answered my questions, and we had a nice conversation throughout my appointment (which I must say was helpful to distract me from any discomfort). The massage rooms were right there, no real privacy. Though we expressed that it was not a couples massage when we made the appointment they had set up as that. After a minute they took us to separate rooms. The therapist I had asked about the pressure which was extremely light, I expressed that it could be much deeper but the pressure was never adjusted. The specific areas I had asked for attention on were the only areas she did not even touch. I left feeling no sense of relaxation. After the massage was completed we were handed a very small bottle of water and told to drink "plenty of water" with no explanation of why. This was not my first massage, but it was definitely the worst. Thankfully my daughter expressed that she really enjoyed her experience. It was her first massage. She was not impressed with the atmosphere-small hallway waiting area-and said she would not return there but is looking forward to having other massages in her future. read more

Nice staff and an overall not unpleasant experience, but I had a very difficult time making an appointment for a manicure as the phone wasn't picked up until I called for a fourth time over the span of several hours. They were able to accommodate me for the following day for their basic spa manicure ($20). I already had Shellac on my nails, which I wanted removed, followed by a manicure with regular polish. This was done with no problem. The manicure was adequate. It got weird, however, when I checked out and my total was $35...for a $20 manicure. I inquired about the price, and was told there was a fee for removal of the Shellac without following up with a Shellac manicure. (That itself doesn't bother me, I know it's a tad more labor intensive to remove) I just couldn't believe it wasn't disclosed to me at any point when I made the appointment or when I was there! I probably would have nixed the mani and just had the Shellac removed. This fee is also not listed at all on their list of services...so when I asked why it was $15, I was quickly told its for the time spent removing the Shellac. Seemed a tad expensive for a $20 manicure to begin with. She then corrected herself and said it was only $10 for the removal...huh?! The whole encounter seemed like pulling the wool over my eyes for a whopping $10. read more

I've been to this Spa twice. The first time was okay, I have a 60 minute massage. The second time I went just this past weekend I had a 30 minute message and a mani and pedi. The message was wonderful. The mani was the worst I have ever had. I often maintain shellac for the summer. And I have had this polish on for 5 days and it is already starting to peel.
