I changed to have more time instead of being rushed, as these were my birthday nails and I wanted them to look very presentable. I've been to this shop a few times before and have never experienced this rudeness and unprofessionalism I received yesterday. I showed Anh what I wanted done and she confidently agreed she could do the designs. My nails were rushed the entire time during the design part. What was suppose to be an ombré French tip, was not. I calmly stated to her that it did not look ANYTHING like ombré. She simply took the tip of a brush and just dabbed dipping powder on top, then she immediately became dismissive and rude once I explained to her the design wasn't accurate. She rolled her eyes several times and scoffed repeatedly while finishing and correcting my nails. Once finishing my nails, Anh went to the back room of the shop instead of immediately checking me out. I stood up front waiting to be checked out longer than I should have after an unprofessional service. I will NEVER be back to this shop for the way I was treated yesterday.As a registered nurse, I take pride in how people are treated. I just walked in because I was looking for someone who could soak off my gel-x nails. Upon entering I noticed it was quite clean--the white paints and bright lights opens up the space. There were three nail techs there--two women and one man. Upon getting my nails soaked off I actually found out that they do Gel-X nails! I was so excited because it's really hard to find that service in Birmingham. I was able to make an appointment for the next day with Mimi. From start to finish it only took less than 1.5 hours. Mimi does a solid job of choosing the right fit for each nail. Although the nails could have been smoothed out a bit more (they still feel a little scratchy on the underside), the technique she used made me feel that my nails would be okay. The four star is because of the pricing system. The base price is 60$ which is totally reasonable, but everything is an upcharge--even to shape your nails. If you get another color, upcharge. I don't think it's super expensive, I was just surprised my nails ended up being an extra 20$. I'll be coming back, though, because I ultimately enjoyed my experience.

Not relaxing at all since small child ran over my toe with rolling chair, got into my purse, and wouldn't let me look at the color samples in peace. Seems if they don't shake the polish well, the oil can float to the top when applied and the polish just slides off. Exactly what happened. The polish just slid off all in one piece . I searched the local FB pages for recommendations and found that JR Nails had opened a few months ago. Rodger and Joann had previously been at another shop and gotten great reviews, so that's why I picked JR Nails. We were able to make a same-day appointment, but they also welcome walk-ins. When we arrived, there was one client getting a pedicure, and Joann and Rodger were ready for us. Another client walked in after we started, and they got to her pretty quickly, too. There is a large TV on one wall to watch, and signs indicating they had wifi available, but unless you're getting a pedicure, there's no reason or time to be on your phone. Another sign indicated that several beverages are available on request. The color choices were vast, and they give you the swatches from which to choose while they set up. All three staff worked quickly and efficiently. Even with the other two clients there, we were out in about an hour. At the front desk, they also offered us a piece of chocolate before we left. I'm trying to get my nails back in presentable order, and they've made me self-conscious lately. I walked out super happy with how they look and will return more often to get them done.

The place was gorgeous with beautiful decor, bright light, and a friendly welcome from staff. They have a snack and drink bar with a variety for kids and adults. They have probably around 20 pedicure chairs and 10+ manicure chairs. They also do microblading, waxing, and more. I got a gel mani/pedi and it was fine. My girls got their nails painted and the staff were very patient with them. The guy who did my nails didn't do a great job with my gel, but when I got ready to leave, the owner noticed the somewhat sloppy job and had me sit down to fix it. She was so kind about it and even pointed out their 10 day satisfaction policy (in which they will fix their work for free within 10 days of service). I assume the guy who did my nails may have been newer to the profession. The owner (Tee I believe is her name?) was so so kind and expressed that she wouldn't have let me leave with my nails looking the way they had before she fixed them. I was so happy with her customer service and with my nails once she fixed them. Will definitely be going back! Thank you to Tee!

They really seem to care that you've had a good experience. Very friendly. I got the deluxe pedicure. They have about five different ones you can choose from. Mine was $45. It included a fabulous leg massage and hot towels. I enjoyed every minute. I got a French pedicure which was an extra $5 which is typical of any salon. The end result looked really nice. I will definitely be back!
