*4/4/25 Part 2 Of 2* THE MASSAGE:…read moreCoco checked with me to see if I wanted light, medium or hard pressure. I went with medium pressure and asked if she could work on the right shoulder. Since my job as a limousine driver requires a lot of sitting down, I also asked for the glutes to be massaged. The last massage I had a week ago (at another business) didn't do massage. It was a body rub with no pressure whatsoever. I needed pressure applied to my body and Coco delivered on this with precision and know how. The first 40 minutes or so I was covered and massaged through thin sheet. The sheets DID NOT smell of mildew like other places I have visited. The sheets were fresh and clean. Coco worked out the kinks in my muscles, but this was just the preliminaries. When the preliminaries were over, the sheet was moved down to my buttocks. Oil and a mix of lotion was rubbed into Coco hands before massaging my back. Coco then worked my shoulders. As instructed by me, Coco worked on my Frozen Shoulder and Arm more than my other shoulder. Coco worked on my neck and back with the same amount of care she gave me frozen shoulder. All of this steady pressure Coco was providing, is highly appreciated and extremely delightful. How I did not fall asleep during my massage is beyond me, but I enjoyed every waking moment of the massage. Coco checked on me to make sure my massage is copacetic. Since I did not wish to talk during my massage, I gave Coco a thumbs up sign. She liked this and laughed. A pleasing sound. I could hear some other men and woman getting massages, but like me, they did not wish to talk unless need be. When chitchat was in session, it kept to a minimal. *The music selection unfortunately is very limited. The same song(s) get repeated over and over again. I highly recommend updating the musical library like the new store owner has with the store* Coco as instructed spent more time on my gluteus maximus and thighs. Coco informed me that my left side buttock and thigh were extremely stiffer than the right side. This explains why sitting this past week was much more uncomfortable than weeks prior. Coco helped alleviate the tightness...stiffness in my muscles. I hope to visit here again. Hopefully not wait as long as I have next time around. The chest and stomach massage helped. The past few times I have been stomach massaged by Coco or Jennifer, I knew the next day my bowels would be cleaned out. A very pleasant bonus after a monumental massage. I decided I would get ten minutes extra add-on to my massage. The foot massage and light body massage to end the session was exquisite. Coco let me know the session was over and I thanked her. I lay there for a while thinking about getting four hands for 2 hours next time. I knew I would have to call ahead of time to set this up, but I think it will be worthwhile. I could see myself doing this for my birthday on July 15th this year. Good heavens, I will be 48...! We will see....2 hours might not be enough time. Speaking of seeing, I had extra oil on by body that I was able to remove with paper towels and/or a regular dry towel. I normally don't use a hot towel if it isn't in the same room as the massage table. Same thing applies to the hot stones. Upon leaving after paying, I noticed a woman in tights sitting in a chair, who appeared to be filming me. She might keep it for her collection. Hope looked smashing for her video...one can hope:)

Generally these days I count myself as both fortunate and unfortunate that I lack the energy or need to argue; but likewise, I am not so quick to offer a swift and harsh response against the most mild of slights. And likewise, I am fortunate enough to find many to most businesses are reasonable; either in avoiding bullshizzle, or in rectifying bullshizzle. With that said, this spa is no different than any other in terms of quality of product. My primary reason for coming here in the past was due to location only. However I have noticed with each and every time that the service has steadily become worse and worse. This review is not a knee jerk reaction to one experience, rather it is the culmination of four or five occurrences. So I beg your understanding as well as your attention when I proffer the advice to never patronize this establishment. To subsidize prices that are increasingly going up and that are murky, think of gym memberships that have hidden or alternative fees, this business offers a club/subscription model. When you think about how much you would have to patronize this business to actually save anything, not only would you actually be spending more but you might feel compelled to go in extra just to "make up" money that you are ultimately going into the red for. But ultimately that is a buyer beware problem. The crux of my umbrage today is due to the fact that I, having been solicited at great length to opt into the membership, decided to comply. I was assured that the fee would pay itself as I would receive a complimentary massage on my birthday. As my birthday is in January, I purchased the package in April of 2022; and sought to redeem the gift just now, in January of 2023. In having booked the appointment over the phone, I informed the operator that I had intended to make use of my gift massage. She confirmed and noted such transaction. Shortly thereafter, she proceeds to text me and tells me that I have surrendered my gift because my membership had elapsed more than one year, resulting in me having forfeited a gift I never used. This person then tried to solicit/extort additional money by asking me if I still wished to have a massage under regular/member pricing. I told her that my membership could not possibly have elapsed because I purchased the subscription after my birthday of the previous year, and given that my birthday had not yet occurred at the time of booking the appointment (or even at the time of writing this), I was still privy to further member benefits. After a substantial delay, the operator got back to me and acknowledged that "she made a mistake". Cue monumental eye roll. Huge strike, but hey, I can laugh off a good attempt at a shakedown hustle; however BS it is; as many people indeed do not watch and monitor their subscriptions. Onus on the customer eh. So they call me back and then proceed to text me a few times here and there, doing this whole song-and-dance of confirming and being fake apologetic, smoothing me over. I insist it's all good; just looking forward to my birthday/gift. Nothing to the contrary is uttered for over a week. Fast forward to the day of my massage, they tell me that they are actually not an operation and that I need to reschedule. I tell them no big deal, just set me for the same time a week later. They lied and said it was them. They took him into start a massage, I continued to call him to let him know he was in the wrong place. He finally realized it, stopped the massage and got up to leave. He paid them for a full hour even though he was only there for less than 30 minutes. Then they had the audacity to ask for a tip. Apparently they poach clients all the time. Very disappointing business practice. Thai Healing Arts is excellent and right next door. Go there instead.

The name of the store seems to have changed by the receipt I was given, but not the names on the business cards. Maybe the new owner is dragging their feet on the name change much like Dan (Daniel)Snyder of the Washington Redskins. Anyhow, Susan...least I think it was Susan?...greeted me and took me to the massage room which was couples massage room. The room I had never been in had a masage bed on both sides of the room. The bed were not near each other like you would think they would be. My temperature was checked before the massage began; as well, as masks, hand sanitizer was used. Gloves are an option, but I did not know about this tidbit till after the massage. Susan was through, but for some reason, I wasn't enjoying the massage as much as I thought I would. Tension was relieved from my back, but still this experience at this establishment felt different. Still, Susan didn't do anything different from what she would normally do, but it still felt different. I will make another appointment here, but I am not sure when. This place has been around here for 3 years or more, but I am still the only person who has written a review on this place.
