I was experiencing blood sugar swings that were impacting my heart rate and making me have frequent waves of feeling awful. These hypo and hyper swings were being recorded on a Dexcom continuous blood sugar monitor. She said she didn't believe that I was having blood sugar swings. I offered to share the Dexcom readings which make it easy to share the data with your doctor. She refused to receive them. I had an appointment with an endocrinologist that was five months out. I asked if she could utilize the specialist consultation service she advertises for just such occasions and she refused. When I was finally able to see the endocrinologist, they did labs, adjusted my thyroid medication, added a thyroid medication, added another hormone supplement and after 10 months of suffering I was feeling great again within a week. If you try Dr. Jones and you feel she is dismissing you, trust yourself and find someone else.

One of the things we appreciated most was how they kept Mom in the driver's seat. They guided her, coached her, gave medical care, and created a safe environment. But, they kept her in charge. When we needed to be transferred to the hospital after the birth, the midwives managed our interactions with the medical system, advocated for us, and helped us understand what was going on. This allowed us to focus on baby and not on interacting with the system. During the weeks after the birth, the team from the Nest visited us in our home several times to provide not only postnatal care, but also guidance and mentorship. This helped immensely during the first few weeks. (Also, our Anthem insurance covered us perfectly and the birth center turned out to be quite inexpensive relative to the hospital.) We are 100% satisfied with our experience at the Nest. They are both patient caregivers and guides who treat Mom as the protagonist of her birth. We hope to come back!

So I really appreciate their willingness to rectify the situation and adjust billing appropriately. I'll retract my statement that they do this for monetary gain, as she did express true compassion and regret over the experience I had with them. I would recommend them in the billing and finances department, however I still wouldn't recommend them to any working mothers. We did discuss the other issues that I mentioned in my review, and it seems like their practice is likely just not well oriented for working mothers. (For moms that don't have blue collar/hard labor jobs, this is probably a fine option.)

Today, after enduring four months of foot pain, I finally called and requested an appointment, and I was thrilled that I could be seen today. Taylor Menard examined my x rays and gave me a list of recommendations, all of which I followed, and within hours, the pain I'd had for months had vanished and I could finally walk normally, without limping. The young woman at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful, and none of the health care providers were condescending or impatient. They carefully explained my options and patiently listed to my questions. I noticed a negative review about staff from nine years ago, and all if can say is that the staff he complained about must have all left; the staff I've met with couldn't possibly be better or more professional. My only request is that it would be nice to have a sign at the main entry of the hospital, because I had trouble finding the office the first time I came in.

You guys need to step up on the follow ups. You are dealing with peoples lives that are potential life and death situations!! We had to request lab results 3-4 times for one test to rule out some things and the lab didn't even use the blood to do the specific test tht was requested by the Provider.. every other flipping thing in the book was tested except the one major request!!! I had to call several weeks in a row to even get a result once the CORRECT LAB was even done..shame on you guys. However, I will say good things about Kody Harris and Dr. Chavez as they were always willing to answer extra questions and concerns and were thorough and willing to get things done efficiently.
