As nice as you can expect for the troubling circumstances. They have a lovely little memory garden (columbarium garden, dedicated memorial areas for those cremated) with plants and memorial markers. The site has a small service hall with pew type seating and an on site crematorium. Treated our passed family member with dignity and answered all of our questions on how to proceed. These are very hard times and we found this location an empathetic end of life solution provider. read more

My mother paid for here services before she passed. They took over a year to get the name plate for the headstone then told us we had to have it installed. I am beyond disgusted with this place. No refund for plots that my mother and step father didn't use. They were buried somewhere else. I would not recommene them to anyone. read more

There aren't enough words to express my gratitude for Serenity Funeral Home and our funeral director Roslyn. Our loved one's passing was sudden and completely unexpected. We had no clue what we were supposed to do or how to navigate the process. Roslyn guided us through every single step from picking out what kind of service we wanted to the actual burial. She never pushed us to purchase something we weren't comfortable with and listened to our needs/wants. The compassion shown for our family was amazing beyond words. read more

Crappy place to be buried the only reason i we took our dad there was because of the wall of honor my dad was always picky about his clothes and hair and my sister gave them specific things to do to his hair and pics also and that did'nt get done and she also bought him a brand new 70 dollar shirt and we walked up to view him for the first time and makeup all down the sleeve of his shirt not just a dot here and there like they had rubbed his whole sleeve down in it and we brought it to the lady's attention she said well we can put some shout on it and we declined as it would've made a bigger mess shouldve took him out of there and redone the whole thing and then his hair wasnt the way he combed it she gave them three pics of how he done it and still couldn't get it right, well we get the service finished and they place him in the ground and just sling his flowers all over the place, me and my twin calls and sis about that happened and Mr.clark assured us that he would take care of us when we brought our mom in to do her policy that was the biggest joke ever he offered some 100 dollar fans for our troubles and pretty much laughed at us after my mom was spending almost 9000 grand there and they did my dad like they did him they have no respect for the dead at this place they are thrash no good even their landscaping out there sucks weeds growing out of bushes they trim the hedges and just leave the clippings all over and edge and leave mud on the side walks its disgusting I hate that I had to bury my dad out there, I wished I wouldve took pics of my dad's sleeve but we was in a time of mourning our loss all I can say is go somewhere else and not serenity funeral home and hopeful get better treatment than we did!!!! read more

I am grateful indeed for the kindness and true empathy shown me by Mr Randy at Serenity Funeral Home. It is rare indeed to find such genuine compassion at a business, even a business adept at dealing with such sensitive matters as a loved ones passing, however; that is my experience at Serenity. Our initial contact incurred some misunderstandings, yet Mr Randy reached out to our family and after listening, not just hearing, but truly listening to our concerns, he set about to make all things right. I was amazed at the clarity and concern to which he addressed the issue. It does not take one long to ascertain that this gentleman has a heart for Mobile county, and a desire to assure that all peoples are provided dignity and respect at death. I buried my mother and father at this place. They have the wrong birth date and social security number on my mothers deadth certificate. Her birthdate was also wrong with the funeral. I ask twice for them to correct the mistakes. Their response was I had to sign for the paperwork. It would cost me again for the paperwork to be sent off. I am extremely uspset because I just lost my mother and spent over $20,000 between her and my father and they will not correct the mistake they made? I told them I was upset when mother passed away so I did not check the info. They said well everyone has people who die! (sarcastic) I was so upset when I left the office. So at this point I call the coroners office. They told me to call the board of health. After several phone calls, I was told to go back to the funeral home. They are the ones who typed in the birth date and social security number for the birth cirtificate. You know Serenity could have paid the 15 dollars and say, well this is just good business but no they do not want to take care of it for me. I am extremely upset and will never buy anything from this place again. Thanks Serenity. I'll make sure you never get a penny of my family's money again. read more
