I went in for a one hour massage. I arrived at my appointment time but they didn't take me in for several minutes. During the massage I told the girl that i wanted more pressure, but it never increased. The "therapist" did not seem to have a method and did not touch my legs until I told her to. And even then it was very mild. The ABSOLUTE WORST part was that she passed gas. I didn't hear it, but i smelled it. She left the room right after and was gone for a few minutes, which was not tacked on to my already short hour. What was sad, I had lots of gas pressure and was holding it in because I was trying to be curtious. I don't know about Kentucky laws, but I doubt she was licensed for this type of service. read more

Absolutely horrible experience. I should have known something was off when I was able to get an appointment immediately. I requested a one-hour deep tissue massage, but the therapist spoke very little English, which made communication difficult. I repeatedly asked for more pressure, but she never adjusted. She also kept a towel over me the entire time and tried to massage through it, which irritated my skin -- and there was no massage oil used at all. After about 15 minutes, I gave up, stopped the session, paid, and left. The only positive was that the place seemed clean. Otherwise, I'd strongly recommend avoiding this place. I also found out why they have all these five star reviews. There is a sign at the counter stating if you give them a five star review, they will give you a discount on the massage. Update: The day after I left my review, I received five phone calls from them while I was at work. A female kept yelling and harassing me on the phone to change my review. I told her I would not and had to block the number to end the harassment. I have also filed a complaint with the better business bureau, due to the harassing phone calls. read more

I'm really upset to leave this review because I've been coming here for months and it's always been a great experience. Hell, I was here last week and had the best massage of my life. However, I came today because it's been a hard week at work and I had a lady that I've never had before and it was an awful experience.. there was NO pressure used at all. At one point she was sitting on the bed next to me and only using one hand just barely rubbing my back and I do mean just "rubbing" and I looked up and she was on her phone!! She was stunned when I caught her but it didn't get any better. It seemed like I was inconveniencing her by being there. She put absolutely NO effort into my "massage" if that's what you want to call it, anyways. I'm really upset. I just spent $80 on something my 10 year old son could've done better. And again, I give a lot of service to this place so I'm really upset. This is not a reflection on this establishment but on the person that I was given today.. I hope that you all are willing to rectify the situation somehow because I would like to continue to come here but I'm now skeptical at the thought of getting this lady again. The foot treatment was a nice massage but not really my expectation of foot reflexology based on previous experiences. My daughter reported an even less satisfactory technique by her therapist. The ladies did not seem really present with us. They talked to each other often in another language. Most irritating was the final check out where the woman argued for more than a 20 percent tip. A little bit disappointed, I came in first asked about focusing on my calf because I got cramps there and not too much on foot but she barely understand English just said yes and I did not get anything on the calf at all. The walk in customer came in she rushed to finish my massage a few minutes before my time was up to take care of that customer. The foot massage was okay basically rubbing your feet. This is such a great massage place: reasonable prices and really experienced masseuses! I've been here twice. Unfortunately I don't live in the area, otherwise I would probably be in here every weekend for a least a foot massage. As another commenter said, they really work out your knots, it's not a lazy soft massage so if you like your massages on the lighter side, you should tell them that up front, but they will adjust as they work if you ask them to. I got a half hour foot massage/half hour body massage tonight. I don't mind the upcharge for paying with a credit card but others should be aware of that, and plan ahead if you don't like it. Also, there is a sign saying they are not taking walk-ins right now (because of Covid?). I'm not sure if that still stands , but call ahead to make an appointment for now to be safe. My daughter and her boyfriend treated his mom and I to a massage here for Mother's day. They did not at all ask if we wanted to be in the same room, instead they just put us in a huge room, gave us towels and told us where to lay. Mind you, I know her but we didn't want to know each other that well. The lady that did my massage was in and out of the room several times and the other lady, did not speak English all that well so she was not very clear with what she wanted her to do (roll over, pressure,etc), so I explained because I have had numerous massages. The massage was just ok. I won't go back. I may have enjoyed it more had the lady not of been on her phone text messaging. I could hear the phone when it vibrated and then she would pause. She also took a phone call on her cellphone during my massage. Then once it was over (90 minutes later), my daughter paid and the lady demanded my daughter give her a tip. I thought this was very rude of her. Tips are optional not mandatory and after spending what she did for our massages that's ridiculous. I taught my daughter to tip but not every situation deserves a tip, especially if it's demanded. read more

I tried this place because I've been doing a lot of running and thought a reflexology massage would be good. It wasn't. It was GREAT! I did the 45 min session (and highly recommend that one because 30 min wouldn't have been long enough) and my feet felt better than they have in months. The place offers additional massage types which I will definitely try at some point, but for now the foot massage has made me a believer and will be a monthly treat. I have visited Song Spa off and on over the years and have always received a very good massage. Communication is sometimes an issue, you just have to be patient. My concern is they just recently added curtains in the massage room doorways & they are not using the doors. The therapist went in an out of the room several times during my massage, to get towels and stones. The room was right but the front door and lobby, if people are in the lobby when she leaves or enters the room, I'm sure they can see in. An hour of the best massage I've ever paid for; so good in fact I felt that I would be insulting the lady with the magic hands if I didn't tip her well. After making appointment and presenting a $30 gift certificate and $26 cash the lady wouldn't answer at all and took five minutes to take pictures and send a email. She then called someone, presumably the owner, who kept repeating "too long, too long" after being put on speakerphone. I thought they were busy and then asked if the would honor just the gift certificate without my paying cash for additional time. Lady/owner on phone asked "why you wait?... No, too long" There is no expiration date on my gift certificate or the ones currently sold. The Song Spa will not honor the gift certificates they sell. 2 locations, Good massages. Solid foot massage! However, I do not like the extra fee for using a CC and the annoying pressure to tip high. They ruin the bliss experience when it's time to pay. They need a better CC system, not to ask for DLicense and phone number and not ask us to prepay ! Bad customer service and inconvenience to pay and lack of English stops me from going more often. It's easy to fix if the owner would be more modern or hire an American to handle the front desk at both spas. We had three people doing massages and called a half hour before coming and were able to get scheduled for 30min foot and body massages as the same time!
