DONT COME HERE. Worst manicure I have ever received. My nails were so jagged I had to ask multiple times to have her fix them. I saw they have 2.5 stars when leaving this review and that made a lot more sense to me. She left crud all under my nails and around which I told her to please clean up twice and the pictures are an aftermath of asking her to clean them multiple times. I told the manager (whoever was in zebra pants and heels on Sunday July 7th) and showed her how many spots were missed and gross and she refused to do anything about it or lower the price for the horrible service. The rudest nail bar in the Nashville/Brentwood area! When I made the appointment, I had the receptionist tell me she didn't have time to make the appointment. When I arrived, the manicurist was in a hurry, looking for shortcuts, talking down to me and looked like she was just trying to move on to the next client. She caused me excruciating pain using a drill like she was looking for oil. Avoid this place at all costs! I've been going to Serenity Nails in Brentwood for 10 years. Luann or Kelly always do my nails and they do a fantastic job. I've gotten to know them over the years and love chatting with them. They give such an awesome pedicure. I splurge and get the #3 pedicure (it's called something else, but it's the top one with the works) and I absolutely love it. I have sent so many friends to them and they have had the same experience. It's very clean in the nail salon, they have lots of colors and types of polish to choose from and it has a relaxing spa feel when you are there. I highly recommend! read more

I've been to this location twice now. People are super nice, but the floors & tables aren't clean and everything seems dusty. Fair warning - for dip manis, they actually dip your finger into the pot of color, and don't ask people to wash their hands first. It's incredibly unsanitary. After nicking my ring finger it bled but the manicurist didn't stop. She actually took a chunk out of my cuticle on my middle finger! I don't give many 5 star reviews and I don't give 5 stars unless the experience is 5 star worthy!! I walked out of Whole Foods and thought I'd try this salon. I got a basic pedicure ($28). I enjoy soaking my feet in the water before the nail technician begins so I asked if I could. They allowed me to soak for longer than I had expected and it was amazing! I love hot water- and appreciated the steaming hot water and constant checks to see if I needed more hot water. It was foot bath heaven! The massage chairs are a plus as well. They appear to be relatively new and clean!! The massage I received while sitting was better than the massage I paid for at Massage Envy yesterday in Franklin.... ok back to the story, ask for Tip. She took care of my feet, was very thorough, and all around amazing! I wanted to rest and enjoy a relaxing experience and she allowed me to do just that by not asking me any questions - other than those related to ways she could make my experience more enjoyable. The foot massage was excellent!! Tip was patient and gave each leg a long soothing massage. Usually I ask if I can pay extra for a longer foot massage. It wasn't necessary because I received above and beyond in the foot massage department. I also enjoyed the music selection and the water fountain... very therapeutic ambiance and clean salon! Really peaceful. I highly recommend this salon. The staff were friendly and very pleasant. I will be returning- and I'm already looking forward to it! Ok, so I'm a harsh critic when it comes to pedicures because I like the works. I don't mind paying $50 to get hot stones, towels, etc. I've been coming to Serenity for about a year now and I love it. I used to go to Athenian but their customer service went way down since they first opened. Lisa at serenity always takes her time, the paint job is amazing and she's very kind. They wear masks, clean the chairs, have sanitizer everywhere and the pedicure bowls are covered with plastic so it's very sanitary. I schedule my appointments ahead of time so I've never experienced a wait. I will continue to come here as long as the service stays great. read more

Worst experience. Paint all over my fingers that she didn't bother to clean off. She talked and giggled the entire time- especially when I told her she hadn't filed one of my hands yet. My tech left to go answer work phone, work the checkout and even made multiple personal phone calls. I will not be back. She barely let me soak, barely trimmed cuticles, got lotion on my shirt and did a half a$$ job at the massage. She was so distracted and obviously didn't want to be there. This is the second time I've been to this location. I got a full set put on the first time. It was not well done, very thick, the polish chipped off by the end of the afternoon (right after getting them done), and my left pinky nail popped off almost completely within 7 days. But I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt by going back a second time (thinking it was maybe just the first nail tech, etc.), especially since I was able to get in right away over my lunch. I went again today for a fill-in and decided on gel polish this time, since the polish chipped so quickly last time. $47 later... A fill-in is $18. Somehow, just putting gel polish on my nails was $29 extra. I did NOT get a manicure. My nails were not cut down. No nail art. I'm not understanding the math. And my nails are very thick (again), which I expressed that I did NOT want. I do want to say this: the man who did them was very nice and polite, and the polish looks fine. However, I WILL NOT be back, and I'm VERY disappointed by what I was charged for this service. read more

Cannot rave enough about this place. I have been twice about 30 days apart. Their basic pedicures literally last me a month. I literally float into relaxation as soon as they touch my feet and I can normally get pretty irritated during pedicures with the poking and prodding. I recently moved to Brentwood and have been looking for a new place to get my nails done. Serenity is a fairly new salon in Brentwood in the Harris Teeter strip. They opened Summer 2011. I've been for pedis for myself and my daughter plus pink&white fills for me and they've done a great job. I was a little leery at first as it's in a strip center, it's one of those huge places with rows of endless pedi chairs, bubbling water fountains, glitzy chandeliers and they throw drinks (including wine) at you as soon as you walk in. Despite the over the top-ness of it all, it's quite organized, clean, and I've never had to wait more than a few minutes as a walk-in. They seem to be more on par with Green Hills pricing...a P/W fill is $35 and a pedi is $28, I believe. They have the "wall of color" from which to choose your polish. They have nice, new pedi chairs that are super easy to get into, have a great massage feature and they also have 2 adorable little girl chairs shaped like bears. My 7 yr old loves them and they massage, too. Decent magazine selection. They do take credit cards and don't make you feel bad about paying with plastic like some salons do. I swear some places have to go home and beat their children every time a customer pays with a card. They act pained and ask "do you have cash or check?" How bad are the CC fees that they have to do this? read more

My wife had a terrible experience here. We arrived here with 2 other friends, wanting a pedicure all together. So we waited about 15 min, which was acceptable because we were a group and wanted to sit as a group. 3 of us were served while my wife just sat there as 3 other customers arrived, sat, and had their nails started before my wife was even offered so much as a drink. 3 of us in our party all had our nails long started before my wife and waited about 20 min before she was finished. Her nails were done in a rush and incomplete as if that would make the problem better. I asked for a discount because of the discrepancy in service and no apologies what so ever. We received $3 off. I tried this place for a gel manicure. I was very disappointed and cannot recommend. My manicure was not good, lots of rough edges and snags. Which was the first reason the gel manicure was a disappointment and did not last. I actually even went back the same day and had them fix one nail and redo because the file job was so bad. Also they use oil when applying a gel manicure. I have had many many gel manicures and it is not standard practice to use oil on the nail. In fact it is key to the success of a gel manicure to work on dry nails. I questioned their process and they swore by the oil application. Guess what? The gel started cracking and chipping the next day. I wanted to go back and ask for a redo but did not have time. Wasted $40!!! I don't think they know what they are doing when it comes to a good gel manicure. read more

This place is pretty busy and I'm surprise to see how smoothly it's run. My girlfriend and I came here for a mani/pedi. We both absolutely loved our sugar scrubs!!! First, I would like to say I have never given a review on a business because it's just not me. However, the Manager Luan at Serenity in Brentwood was so dishonest and rude and the products used at this business was so terrible I just to say something. I got my toes and got dip on my nails and within a day my toes started to chip and after 2 days my nails had cracks and then chipped extensively. I got my toes redone at another business because I could not travel there and then I foaled about my nails. Luan told me to come to the store and he would give a refund. However, when I got there over the phone he told his employer he never said this and would fix the obviously chipped/ cracked nails. I had at least 6 nails with cracks. He said come in on and I went in today, Monday, August 22nd. I got dip removed at my request but the employer refused to put clear polish on. I left with exposed nails... no polish and I was treated like a criminal!!! I felt very uncomfortable . I paid over $100 for this service. She filed a hole in my nail, which caused it to bleed. I was not pleased with this at all. Then, she proceeded to put my nail in acetone. This made my finger sting. This was an awful experience. I went there today just walked in, bad start anyway. She did my nails every minute I had to tell her what to do, she almost cut my skin under , was a terrible job. Horrible service. Water was cold for my pedicure. The person who did my toes hurt me and my toes do not look good at all. They look like a fifth grader did them. She also did my fingernails and the color I showed her did not look like the color she put on my nails. The color she put on my nails is very splotchy and it also stained the top of my nails from the dip. Also some of my nails are lopsided because of how bad of a filling job she did. This is always my go-to place for pedicures and/or gel manicures, and I've never been let down. I come here about every 2-3 weeks. I'm never able to schedule something, so I always do a walk-in. I have rarely had to wait long for a chair. Sometimes if there is a wait for a technician, they will still put me in a pedi chair so I get a chair massage and foot soak while I wait. I had had several different nail techs through the years, and each has been friendly and professional. I've never had the need to come back for a re-touch, and my pedis and gel manis last weeks. I had polish on my skin, the coating is not consistent on some of the nails- looks like may have not painted the entire second coat in many spots. Nail tech was also not very friendly. If I get a nail fungus it'll definitely be from this place. The woman who did my plain mani Took out the cuticle clipping tool and it was FULL of someone else's nail skin!! I pulled my hand away and said eww gross. She then just poured acetone on it and the cuticles that WERE NOT MINE were wiped off on the towel. (The same towel later used to wipe my hands multiple times.) After she did the hand rub she took off the gloves she had been wearing to reveal nasty/crusty/yellow nails.
