Moving from Phoenix, Arizona to Daytona Beach, FL, I was searching for a nail salon where I could feel comfortable and become a regular. After trying a few different places, I came across Serenity Nail Salon during one of my shopping trips--and I'm so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, I was genuinely impressed. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The salon offered both non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks, and of course I had to try the strawberry daiquiri--it was VERY good! I was quickly introduced to Christina, who made me feel right at home, and seated for my pedicure. At the same time, I met John, my manicurist, who was just as warm and personable. Both Christina and John were highly professional and made me feel completely at ease, like I had known them for a long time. In short, I've found my go-to nail salon--Serenity! Always a great experience! I've been going here for 8 years since they opened. I've watched them grow and continue to upgrade when needed. They are friendly and do a great job. Charlie the owner is always helpful and works hard to be sure each and every customer gets the attention they deserve. It's clean, upscale and the workers look very professional in their Serenity logo Shirts. They have newly installed pedicure chairs and they are super comfy. These photos were taken just one week apart -- and honestly, I'm so disappointed I got a gel French manicure and pedicure, and this experience just didn't live up to expectations, especially at a $100 price point. My manicure felt rushed and sloppy. Each nail was shaped differently -- some rounded, some squared -- which is something I've never experienced after a professional manicure. It didn't feel precise or consistent at all. As for the pedicure, my feet already feel rough again just one week later, despite the soak and full service. It really doesn't feel like I received a proper pedi, and the results just didn't last. I've come to notice a trend: it's often the super fancy, aesthetic-focused salons that miss the mark on actual quality. Unfortunately, that was the case here. 2/10 Would I come back here? Unfortunately no. Would I recommend to a friend or family member? I would recommend to try it yourself because you can experience something different than I did, but my experience was not good. read more

BEWARE! Jennifer did a horrible job on my wife's eyelashes and she refused to remove them or provide a refund. She was extremely rude! I would not recommend using them for any service! My wife had to pay someone else to remove the eyelashes and they said she must have used something other than lash glue because it was like super glue. As a result, almost all of her real eyelashes came off as a result. I would NEVER RECOMMEND THEM! Update: They said they would not give me a refund for what my wife spent; instead they said they would only give a 50% credit of what my wife spent on the eyelashes toward another eyelash service, which obviously my wife is not going to have them touch her eyelashes again! total BS! read more

The spa is VERY nice inside. So many stations to accommodate several people at once. This particular spa also offers more than just a regular spa would offer such as specialty facils and cbd pedis waxing and so much more. They also offer a full bar for a small extra charge. Sodas water and mimosas are complimentary. I am giving it a 3 star because they did an okay job on my nails and my daughters nails, literally broke off the next day, she was trying to pick up her doll and 2 nails literally popped off and I paid a lot for her nails. On my nails they were to smooth and the nail polish started chipping away 2 days later. Needless to say 200 dollars later, I probably won't go back, just not worth the money. This was literally the worst experience of my entire life, I absolutely hate my nails. The lady who did my manicure rushed the entire process to the point where my nails were very sloppy, uneven, and incomplete. The guy did an okay job on my toes but I'm still very unsatisfied, my toes look better than my nails and my toes look like crap. I was never asked what shape I wanted my nails, if my nails were okay, if I liked the service, or even if I wanted something to drink. I sat in my chair very unhappy and it showed in my face they already knew that I didn't like my nails, and purposely refrained from asking. It was not worth $100, I wouldn't even pay $50 but unfortunately they charged me $99 anyways knowing that I was extremely unsatisfied. I try to give places the benefit of doubt I read the reviews before coming and I still decided to see for myself. Well the reviews were right and the ratings don't lie, if you want your nails done right and to look good go somewhere else. Save yourself the stress, headache, and disappointment. So I did a review similar to this one. I gave this place one more chance even after they sent me a 20% off. I never used it and went anyway. Again, offered me a drink and I never got it. Told the lady at the front desk and she shrugged it off but, she damn sure took the money. I started not to leave a $15 tip but I did. I went here for the first time and scheduled an appointment for a serenity signature pedicure. I requested a first available rather than a specific name and was provided Becky. She was not very friendly and kind of rude. She actually cut the skin on one of my toes which hurt. I went with a friend of mine and we both got the same services, but her person did so much more than mine. We were also rushed in the beginning of our appointment and at the end of our appointment so not very relaxing. I will not be back and do not recommend anyone going here. read more

On July 5th I went to serenity and had the most wonderful pedicure that I've had in a very long time. I think her name was Jen then after that, I ran into my friend I've known for over 20 years Christine she did a facial that was phenomenal. She did all kinds of different things on my face extra collagen and put in all kinds of products and I told her I felt like A million bucks. She is extremely professional and very, very kind and gentle. She owned her own place at one time and that's how I've known her all these years. I was so glad when I saw her at serenity nail spa. I had been using Serenity Nail Spa in Daytona for many years. Their nail tech Chareansuk aka Cherry, befriended me and even took classes that I teach . Unfortunately it was a fake friendship and she tried to extort money from me after inviting me to her hometown while i was on vacation in thailand. The whole thing was planned. I reported this to Charlie and Jessica, the owners and to my surprise, her coworkers told me more stories of scams she pulls with them at work. The owners tried to convince me that it was a "misunderstanding" and didnt do anything about it. This is not a good place to go. They also had a pedo/f working there. They didn't fire them! Beware! I'll spare some details but I asked for gel on my natural nails & was offered tips for my shorter ones, I explained that I can not because of my job, & then they used the Dremel so roughly it cut deep (photos) into my nail bed... which I didn't notice until finger 6 when all my nails started to feel like on fire.. I immediately asked her to stop and she was upset with me... transferred technicians 3 times till the owner came and I asked him to please just let me leave, which they did not until I actually broke down into tears. *update* this took EIGHT months for me to heal. read more

This was by far the best pedicure for the money. The best bang for your buck, if you will. My sister and I both ordered the Pina Colada pedicure. It included an alcoholic beverage, hot stone massage, paraffin wax, and so much more. My complaint is that my specific technician was kind of painful. I got knicked when she was removing my cuticles and her leg massage was focused on my shin bone and not the muscles. I even pulled my legs away from her a few times. Had she been that hard down on my calf muscles, it would have been bliss. On the plus side, she did an amazing job with clipping and painting my toe nails. Things to note: the entire session lasted about 45 minutes for $55, at the date of this review. The place is huge and can accommodate a large amount of people. There are tvs playing funny animal videos on either side of the room, which was super entertaining. I'll give them another try and use a different technician. read more

The best pedicure I have ever had. After a foot injury, I thought I was going to have to go to a podiatrist due to ingrown nails but wanted to get a pedicure first. Michael was amazing, he was gentle but thoroughly removed the ingrown nails, all 3 of them. He is very patient, attentive, and takes pride in his work. My 2 daughters went in to get their nails done. They were asked by a gentleman what they wanted. They were told it would be $50 each. When my daughters were done, one was told her total was $75 and the other $80!!! They didn't ask for anything extra! Both nail techs were very rude and when my girls asked why the price was different they said because of the shape they did their nails?!?! They argued with my kids and totally took advantage of them! I hate leaving bad reviews but this time I can't keep it to myself...this is the condensed version...I could leave a rant but I'll go with facts: Went in with acrylic Pink and White looking for a fill (Did not get original set at Serenity) Tried to be sold full dip set, AGREED, and then had a tech tell me he "wasn't good at that but had seen others do it before" the manager bumped in, gave me a different tech and HANDED her the fill that would match Tech tried 2 separate colors then tried the color he gave me..three fingers, three fill colors (see picture) I asked her if she was going to match the colors and blend them in..confirmed yes She grabbed a color that didn't match exactly and said "use this it looks better" Really? I was so frustrated I paid and left...it wasn't worth making a scene at the location when I knew a place that could fix me. Not only were they not washing hands or following the 6ft between guests she recked my nails with the dremmel and I have cuts on my cuticles. Go to Venetian at Daytona One. I'll be leaving them 5 Stars for fixing. Never going back here even though they are closer to my office. read more

the manger cholly or jolly, is VERY DISRESPECTFUL AND Rude !! They will not honor any polish changes even if the nail tech tells you to "come back" to get your polish changed after requesting the gel color I received that day to be taken off to get a lighter color before I payed for my service. I arrived, as a first timer, to this Nail Salon. No one greeted me, but I did see a kiosk where I could check in on. So I navigated through the screens and saw so many options. The variety was very nice, but there was no description of the services. I had no way of knowing what I'd be paying for or what each service actually included. And since there was no one to greet me, there was no one to ask. So I just stuck with what I knew...which was a basic gel manicure. After about a 15 minute wait, someone showed up and escorted me to a nail tech. Immediately, without introducing himself, the nail tech read a small slip of paper that said I wanted a gel manicure, looked up from the paper and starting asking me why I didn't want sns dip powder on my nails. He went on a rant about why dip powder was better and that he wanted to do dip powder. Reluctantly, I agreed. I reasoned that the nail tech may actually not be good at gel nails at all, since he was basically adamant that he didn't want to do them. I told myself, that I may possibly have a better outcome if he performed a process that he was confident with. I probably lied to myself. Anyway...for some reason, although I picked a neutral nude color, he decided to paint the tips of my nails with a first layer of a dark pink color. I'm not sure why he did this. I'm just at a loss. When I asked, something was mumbled as a response. At that point, I was just curious and humored as to how things would ultimately turn out. Ultimately, based on the overall experience, I would not return to this salon for a manicure. I'd rather go where the techs just do what the customer requests. read more

I booked an appointment asking for someone who spoke English and could understand I need a very gentle touch. Angelina was supposed to take care of me, but refused since I did not want the more expensive pedicure for medical reasons. Dealing with a broken ankle and 2 broken toes, I asked my pedicure tech Rosa to be gentle so many times and she did not listen. The 2 gentleman Jonathan and Dominic were very nice and kept asking her to be gentle but she did not listen to anyone. I am very disappointed and disgusted at the way I was treated and laughed at by Rosa and Angelina. I am now in more pain then when I came in, going for an X-ray. This is the worst managed nail salon I have ever been to before. Several times I have scheduled appointments and when I arrive at my scheduled time I still have to wait over 10 sometimes 20 minutes. The nail techs are decent but most are rude and talk on the phone while doing your nails or a pedicure. It's not worth it, do not waste your time here. 100 bucks for a gel manicure (super short nails) and a pedicure with calouse remover went on vacation and with in 2 days the nails started to peel and less than a week toes were all janked up not washing dishing or digging ditches they did both services at the same time place is pretty but expected the nails to last a min of two weeks so disappointed will be looking for a new salon read more
