I am so thankful for the really bad dip nails at my last visit at this salon. If not for my nails chipping and breaking two days later, plus a pedicure where I had to have a podiatrist cut my toe nails after their cut job I would still be paying $45.00 plus a $10.00 tip, so $55.00 for a not so great dip nail job. Now I do my own nails, saving a drive across town, having put up with rude behavior and spending so much money on my nails. I guess you can't get service here unless you're a regular. I waited for 30 minutes for an appointment I had made weeks in advance, and they clearly never told the nail tech I was there. They tried to check me in 3 times. No one would help me with anything, it was impossble to get anyone's attention at the front desk. So disappointed had an appointment today at 5PM for a pedicure the receptionist told me to be there on time and I got there 15 min before and when I got there she told me ok pick out a color and I asked for the gel colors and then she asked if I had gel on now and I said yes she rolled her eyes and said why didn't you tell me! Mmmm... from the tone she used she sounded upset and I responded well you never asked when I set up the appointment and I never thought it was an issue. She responded with an attitude well good thing you came in early to rap you and rolled her eyes again she said go sit down. Well obviously I told her to go head and cancel my appointment there's no way I will give my money to them. Well I can say I will never go to that place. If you are considering going here - Please be warned - it's filthy and you get treated like garbage on top of it. If I could give this dump a minus star I would. I got a fungus from their foot baths which they don't sterilize except to lightly spray - that's NOT STERALIZATION. I GOT DOCTOR DIAGNOSED FUNGUS from them and when I asked for a liner they charged me for it. Their receptionist is so rude and nasty you can't believe it and they don't care. When I tried to talk to the owner - one "Tommy" he was just as rude as their receptionist. So what you get here is a crummy pedicure in a germ laden tub and have to pay way too much for what they do. As frosting on the cake they treat you like crap on top of it. It is not sanitary at all, the services are not good, especially for the amount they charge. It's just another run of the mill rush you in and rush you out. Please save yourself and find another salon - one that's top rated in Santa Fe. read more

After living in Santa Fe for two years and putting up with mediocre nail jobs, I found Jennifer at Serenity! I found her 3 months ago and have been back for a mani/pedi when needed! She takes her time painting and everything always comes out amazing! Serenity is clean and everyone working there is nice. I like the fact that they are so busy you must make an appointment, meaning, no sitting around for walking in so when I show up for my appointment I get right in. I am really surprised by the other rating on here. Serenity is the best nail salon in Santa Fe. The one downside is they are always busy so you can't just walk-in and expect to get a pedi. I am definitely willing to give them the benefit of the doubt, I work at a busy salon in downtown and it is very rare for us to take walk-ins in the summer. If your good it shows. The review below was a waste of a Yelpers time. Wow a nail salon smelled like chemicals. I'm so shocked. They do the best work in town. They keep a special box with individual utensils for every customer and are concerned with sanitary working conditions. You chip or ding your polish while there and they'll fix it. A manicure lasts a good week unless you do a lot of dishes/gardening; I've had pedicures last 3-4 weeks. That's what should matter about a nail salon. read more

I've had acrylic nails for over 30 yrs and this is by far the worst place I've been to. I have my nails pink and white so I don't need polish. I didn't notice that they weren't being done that way until about half way through. When I mentioned it, he spoke it very broken English and for the most part ignored me. He even had to have a cheat cheat so he knew what came next. I told him how i wanted them shaped and he mangled it so badly that by the time he was done they were shorter then they have been in 20 yrs. I realize that people have to learn but at least tell me up front that you are a. I was short on time or I would have made them do it all over. When brought up to the manager, he just didn't seem to care. I now have to wear polish for the first time in 8 yrs and wait for my nails to grow to out again so they can be shaped properly. I love this place!! The spa is clean, the staff is friendly and the service is always perfect. A few other things; they never overbook so you don't end up waiting and hour-ish to get the service done. They are super careful with your nails, and you never feel like they are in a hurry. The pedicure massage is good, never rough. Good choice of gel nail colors. Professional front desk help, and they keep good records. I won't go anywhere else. read more

After sitting in the massage chair and becoming a bit too relaxed, I left my iPad somewhere near the front counter/front door area. Hours later, and soon after the salon closed, I realized where I'd left it. It was after hours but I called the salon in a panic because I needed the iPad before they opened again the next day since I had an early morning flight out of New Mexico. The owner/manager picked up the phone while I was leaving my harried message and told me the iPad was right at the front counter waiting for me. Even though they were closed and he was ready to go home, he waited for me to drive back to pick it up. That iPad could have very easily gone "missing," and I think it says a lot that it was held safe and sound at the front desk until I returned for it. Went in for a pedicure because the bottoms of my feet were raw from being in a swimming pool. Granted, I was a walk-in, and it was lucky that they could fit me in because they are always so busy. My pedicure lasted 20 minutes. The massage portion was lackluster, and when I got home, I had to use my own tools to get the bottoms of my feet smooth. I have lived in Santa Fe for 6 years now and this is thee best place for a pedicure, manicure and waxing I have been to here. The staff is super friendly, not stiff or unhelpful. Also this is the CLEANEST nail salon in town that is for certain. They put your name on an individualized box with your own nail buffer and pedicure tools. You are never given a used buffer . Call ahead on the weekends as they have a solid clientele, walking in from fri-sun is usually a wait but worth it if you must have it doon without an appointment. Reviewer Mary H. must be on drugs! I have been to at least 6 other salons in Santa Fe & 2 in Albuquerque. They can't compare to Serenity. This place is immaculate! The "spraying" she talks about is disinfectant (I asked to see what they use).It is hospital quality. Other salons in SF don't even RINSE! The staff is very friendly and goes out of the way to help you and theirtechs do an awesome job. I suspect "Mary" got her so ccalled doctor diagnosed fungus somewhere else....like the gym, trying on shoes at the store (oh YES, you can!) or even her own shower. She should stop blaming other people for her problems. In a city full of so-so salons, Serenity is a gem. Appointment Only guarantees you will be taken on time with superb service. You have to plan ahead. They're generally booked about two weeks out. Everyone speaks English. They have a receptionist and a tub-cleaner to take care of all the small stuff, leaving the techs to actually do their jobs and focus on their clients. The spa is super clean and sanitary with their practices. Fast and professional service. Kim took me this time, and I was in and out for a gel mani/pedi in an hour. Her work for in-growns was just as good as promised. My toes feel great. Christina is fastidious and detailed with her work. You will not be disappointed with your manicure when she's done. Very pleased with Serenity. I've returned several times and will stick with them because they do top notch work on both the Deluxe Pedicure (a real treat!) and the French Gel Manicures. They keep special sets of tools for each, individual client, so no nasty germs can be spread from person to person. Very clean. I have no idea what that other reviewer is talking about regarding the chemicals. I've never experienced anything like that. Terrible service for my pedicure by a young woman who showed no interest whatsoever in performing the treatment. She watched the TV while giving me an awful massage, globbed on the nail polish, and I had to call her over to show it to her so it could be redone. I would never go back here. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. There is no sterilization going on here. I have a fungus and know that wiping a foot bath with a dirty towel does not mean its clean. Save yourself. Getting rid of a fungus is very difficult and next time it could be a limb!!! read more

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a nail salon I paid $25 to not her even clean under my nails and they look completely awful. And she didn't do so much as to say one word to me the hole time. They may have a good ambiance but that is all. The other workers looked slightly more friendly maybe I got the wrong lady but regardless it was so bad enough that I had to write a review witch I never do.
